14 THE LADY

As ,we move further we saw that old man . "Here come here children " he said .

And we went towards him .

"What is there ?" Ava asked .

"There is a rock ,see what is written on it "

"What . Which language it is ?"

"It is written that Go before you die "

"Who has written it " I asked .

"It is written many years ago .I just wanted to tell you that this forest is haunted since years ago . I don't know whom but that ghost doesn't want anyone to live here ."

"Now what we could do "

"Don't be afraid and don't go away "

"Don't worry we are not going anywhere "Ava said and she holed my hand and took me away.

And we went away in silence ,while the old man shouted "go home .I will meet you tonight ."

We directly went home . As we went both of our families were waiting , in the backyard .

"What why are you all standing here?"

"We all are going " said Oliver .

"Going . But where ?" I asked .

"Look there it is a great day .So we all are going for a picnic " said my father .

"Picnic in this rain? "Ava asked .

"Don't worry Ava we have packed so much things . It seems that we are going on a trip " Said Leo.

"But where we are going ?"

"Ava first we will go for a picnic in the woods and...…. "Aunt Sophia was just saying this that Ava interrupted and said " We already live in woods . So ,why we need to go to woods "

"Ava why are you getting angry listen to me first , we will go in the woods which are close to mountains which are also known for tourism "replied Aunt Sophia .

"Yes ,Ava come on we will enjoy a lot " I replied .

"But then how will we read our book "

"Don't worry we will take it with us "

"Oh yes ! Why I didn't thought about it .Come on let's pack our bags "

We went into our room and packed our stuff .We also packed the book inside our bag .

"Come on children ,otherwise rain will be finished "My dad said .

"We are coming Dad" Jacob replied .

We all sat in our cars and went off .We were enjoying the weather fully ,and were taking photographs and were eating snacks we have brought with us .Finally, we reached our destination , and enjoyed in rain .The whole area was lit . There were many people who came from far away to enjoy .We have brought clothes with us so when the rain was finished we changed the clothes .Then we started heading towards the food zone. And the aroma of the delicious food which was coming from the food zone had aced our pace towards it. We ordered everyone's favorite dish and sat waiting for the food to come. This waiting time was the most torturous one. And finally, our hot and tasty food came. We literally attacked it like the hungry animals. The next 30 minutes was complete silence. Everybody in the picnic was busy enjoying their own favorite delicacy. We finished eating and left for home. Until then it was dark .

There was a patch of trees along one of the highways . There weren't many trees in the area, since it's mostly rock and sand, but this area had tree after tree for around two miles, next to rock formations. .We were going through the end of forest that we saw someone standing in the middle of the road. She had her black hair straight down. A dirty brown dress on. She was a woman, standing barefoot in the middle of the road. My dad turned on the lights but she was not ready to go . At the same time Ava's car came with us and it also stooped along us . Ava's dad gave horn but the lady was still there . Both of our father's were ready to move out and help her .They were just moving that the woman was now next to my door, I could barely make out her figure from just the side yellow lights, but I knew she was there.

Her eyes were dark, her skin was pale, and she was smiling. She started leaning her head to the side, staring dead into my eyes.

I felt my body turn cold with a type of fear I had never felt before. This woman couldn't be real. Then, right in front of me, she vanished. "Where she went " asked Jacob .

There she was, at front window looking at me directly. It was an abnormally tall height for her to just be standing there. Both of the cars moved with a great speed because it was life threatening to stay there any more .

My hands were shaking, but I kept my head calm somehow . "Why she was staring at me " I thought in my mind .

We reached home safely .After reaching home no one talked about that incident and we all went to sleep .
