9 OUR JOURNEY

We reached the tree and took a fruit .

"Here it is said " said Eva.

"We got it . Let's go " I replied happily .

"Yes we will move through shortcut "

"Ok let's go "

We took a shortcut that suddenly we felt someone on our back .

We looked all around but there was no one .

We started our journey again .

" Allice what do you think " Ava asked .

"About what ?" I replied .

"About that blood ."

"Oh ... I forgot about it ."

"But how "

"Ava I had met more strange incidents than it . It is too small incident for me "

" Is this forest really strange "

"I don't know but that house is strange "

"Which house ?"

"That empty house " I replied pointing towards that weird house .

" who lives there "

"No one "

No one but I had seen a little boy with his grandfather . "

I stooped for a moment .

" You don't know anything " and started again .

"Do you know something " Ava asked .

" My dad give me a book and his personal diary "

"What is inside it ?"

"A true and real story ,of his own life and that weird house "

" His own story "

"Yes , this house was owned by my grandfather "

"Then why did they move ?"

"I didn't know . I haven't read the full book "

"We will read that book together . "

"Ok we will "

"Your house is far from our house but very close to that weird house "

"Yes I know "

"Do you know something else "

I stooped and turned to him and replied

" You know what when we came to our new house I was very excited but on that night "

"What happened on that night "

"I saw my father talking to someone invisible "

"Invisible "

"Yes , it was a strange night though "

"Whatever , he told you that he lived his half life in that house "

"Yes .Let's go "

We were walking just like we were very brave but we were actually very scared.

Suddenly , clouds cover the sky and lightning and thunder started . It was not raining though .

"Oh no ! how ? there were no clouds ,there were only stars " Ava said .

" The clouds came all of a sudden " I replied .

"We are still so far from that weird house " She replied .

"Yes and we have to pass my house and then .... we will reach the cottage ." I replied in one breath .

"Let's move faster "

We started even moving faster . The rain started .

"Oh no Ava now what we will do ?"

"See that weird house . Let's go there for shelter " She replied .

"Are you mad ?"

"Come on we need a shelter . I am always with you ." She replied .

I was all wet .I forgot everything what I have heard of it .

We were curious and crept down the concrete path towards the door. The door creaked and opened on its own as we stood by it. We peeked in. It looked as if there were a thousand rooms inside. As we stood there and looked, we didn't know where to start.

Our curiosity got better , and we started with the door closest. The hinges were rusty and they creaked as I opened it. It was really scary…"WAIT!!!, ..was there someone in there?" Ava asked while breathing heavily.

We didn't dare to go further. By then, I felt a chill run down my spine, and felt hands on my shoulder pushing me into the room. I screamed. It was too late. I fell down and heard the door shut behind me.

"Ava Ava where are you ?"

"I am here Allice with you " She replied holding my hand.

The room plunged into darkness and became very quiet except for our heavy breathing. We both tried getting up, but something was holding us down. We cried "help", but our voice was just not coming out. We managed to get to our feet, and tried to unlock the door, but to no avail. There was a presence in the room but no one was there.

We decided to be brave, and collectively said "hello", hello"???.. But all we heard was our echo. We were trying to unlock the door when suddenly, we heard this loud screeching voice, we turned… and standing behind us was a dark figure.

It had piercing red eyes that just looked through us….we screamed and the next thing I knew, I hold Ava's hand and close to my face, and run but, I could smell its breath. It smelled of raw meat, and blood. I managed to turn and tried to run with Ava, but my feet couldn't move. We were out of that room and the door of the room closed .We both fell down and were breathing heavily.

We went out of the house and stooped in the rain .

Suddenly , Ava said "Look Allice ."

And what I saw the same little boy which we helped in the forest standing in that room's window waving at us .

We both ran from there as fast as we could .
