Chapter One: How Long Has It Been?

In the far island of Silence, a marine structure stands tall. With an eerie aura to it. Thousands of Marine Ships take off towards Marineford to support the Admirals against the Whitebeard Pirates. Inside the structure, resides one pirate hidden from the world. Too dangerous to be kept alive, but impossible to kill.

"He's still alive? How many days has it been since we haven't given him any food?" Inside an office-like room inside the base, two marines talk abt the prisoner. "Maybe a couple weeks. Should have died by now." A sergeant replies. "Say. What does that syringe contain. And why are we constantly injecting it into him?" The recruit asks to hold up the syringe. "It's something that can subdue even the strongest Sea King." The sergeant explains. "And he's still alive?" Shocked, The recruit asks. "Barely. But he's gotten weak. That reminds me, time for another syringe." The sergeant picks up a tray and walks out the door.

With a sudden bang, the sergeant falls unconscious. The recruit runs out and passes out too. One by one, every marine in the base, falls unconscious. The guards stationed by a huge metal door fall unconscious. Inside, the pirate sits. All chained up from everywhere. Take a deep breath and start slowly tugging on the chains. The chains start breaking off, one by one. After all the chains have been broken, a tall figure stands tall. "Ah. How many years has it been since I've felt this relieved." The man says while stretching. He gets low, stretches his legs and rushes towards the metal door.

The huge metal door flies open and smashes into the wall. The man walks out, brushing his hair over his face. "Now where can I find an exit?" He says to himself and closes his eyes. Calms his breathing and opens his eyes. "Gah. Using Haki must've worn me down. I still need to rest." The man starts slowly walking, trying to find an exit.

Hours go by, he still hasn't found an exit. "Oh screw this." He punches the nearest wall, busting a hole in the wall. "Ooh, it's been way too long. The sun feels damn good." He says as he walks out. A huge sea king pops its head out of the water.  "Food!" He says joyfully as he sees the sea king. " I'll wait until a few days before using Haki again. Can't risk passing out here." The man starts walking towards the sea king. Excited, the sea king notices the man and swims towards him. "I'll roast you and make up for the weeks without food." The man runs towards the sea king and jumps.

* 2 hours later *

Sitting in the middle of the dense forest the man munches on some meat. Getting warmed up by the small fire, the only sound being heard was the burning of wood. "Man that was some good food. Should set out to find the Captain." The man says. The leaves suddenly rustle. "I told you to be quiet. He's not your average pirate. All these years we have been giving him anesthesia that'll knock out a Full grown Sea King. I don't know how he escaped but if he took out the whole base by himself, even a recruit like you should know how powerful he can be." Hidden in a bush, a small squad of 5 marines stay crouched. "Hey, see if he's still there." The recruit peeks towards where the man was sitting according to his superior's orders. "He's gone. Maybe he found out we were." The recruit turns and sees all of his squadmates passed out. Standing among them is a man hidden by the darkness. "Hey. Would you be so kind to tell me where everyone went? I asked these guys, but they weren't into talking I guess. So?" The man asks smiling innocently. "Stay back you monster." The recruit yells as he falls back towards the opening the man was sitting. "Hey calm down now. There's some meat if you want. I just need to know where they went." The man says stepping towards him. There, the man stands tall. Scratching the back of his head. Without a scratch on him, he looks like just a random villager. With thin physique and long hair, he looks like he has spent a decade in the wild. "He doesn't look that dangerous. Maybe I'll play along with him until I get a backup." The recruit thinks to himself. The man extends a hand towards him which the recruit grabs. "See? I don't bite. Well sometimes, but this isn't one of those times." The man says with an energetic smile on his face. They both sit down on a log near the fire. "If you're looking for the big shot marines, they went to Marineford." The recruit starts. "Why there? Something big must be going down if they're going to leave a huge base unattended with just low level marines. No offence though." The man says. "Something big is going down. The infamous Ace is going to be executed soon." The recruit says. " Ace? Who is that?" The man says confused. "You don't know Ace? The second division's commander of the Whitebeard pirates." The recruit gets excited. "That old man is still alive? And he's still recruiting new blood?" The man says in a playful voice. "You sound like you knew him. And I've been waiting to ask. Who are you?" The recruit asks. "Me? Well I go by the name Jacks. Don't know if you've heard it or not. But I'm a big shot pirate too." Jacks says proudly. "You? A big shot? I haven't even heard of a Jacks or seen any wanted posters under that name." The recruit bursts out laughing. "What? Not even a poster for 1 Berry." The recruit continues laughing hysterically. "Well. Guess I'm off to Marineford. But you. Remember my name." Jacks says. "You know you can't leave here. You can't sail a boat on your own." The recruit says. "I'll find a way." The man smiles. "Remember the name. Monkey D. Jacks." The man says. "Wait. Monkey? You..." The recruit starts but Jacks uses Conqueror's Haki and the recruit passes out. "Ah shit. Shouldn't have used it yet. What did you marines do to me." The man says to himself. He starts walking towards the beach to find a ship for himself.

Jacks finds a small Dinghy stranded on the beach. "I guess this should be good for now." Jacks says to himself as he pushes the Dinghy out to deeper waters. He gets in and starts rowing towards the ocean. "Ah. I don't even have a log pose or anything. How do I get anywhere." Jacks realized. He starts rowing aimlessly hoping to find land or a ship. *Grumble* "Ahh. I'm hungry. And still nothing in sight." Jacks says to himself.  On the far end of the ocean, he sees a ship. He starts joyfully rowing towards the ship. The nearer he gets, the clearer the ship gets. "Oh. It's a ship." Jacks says to himself. He climbs up the side of the ship and jumps inside. Only to be greeted by an angry crew. Pointing their swords and pistols towards him. "Do you have food?" One of the crew asked. "Wait what? You don't have food either?" Jacks asked all depressed. Before anybody could say anything, they're cut off by loud grumbles from their stomachs. "Ah. That answered the question." Jacks says. Everyone plunks onto the floor. "You're all that hungry? Jeez. When did you all eat last?" Jacks says scratching his head. "It sbdje ndk." The crew mumbles. "I did not understand a word of that. So let's make a deal." Jacks suggests. "Huuumm." The crew replies. "So onward to food." Jacks says. Looks back and sees the crew still on the floor. "Oh yeah. You guys don't have any energy." Jacks says. Jacks searched around the whole ship. Takes his shirt off and jumps into the water. The crew looks at him and at each other like he's crazy. Everyone sighs loudly thinking he left. Suddenly a huge fish falls into the ship. Jacks jumps in after that. "Mateys. I brought food. Who's hungry?" Jacks says with a huge smile on his face. The crew is overwhelmed by the size of the fish. But seeing a fish after so long, they were overjoyed.

Jacks cuts up the fish and puts up a small safe fire to cook the fish. After eating the roasted fish, the crew is back to full energy. "So. I looked around and it doesn't seem like you've any captains in this ship. And you're missing the flag too. What happened?" Jacks asked. "I'm the first mate of this ship. And it was just our luck. We ran into a group of pirates that called themselves The Foxy Pirates. We played their games and we lost our captain and the ship's flag. We have been sailing aimlessly for days. So what did you want from us?" The first mate explains. "I want a ride to Marineford." Jacks says. The crew gets shocked. "Did you just say Marineford? Why?" The first mate replies. "There's someone I have to meet." Jacks says. He starts looking around. "If I may intervene in your thoughts, sir. We 10 barely make up for a fly in front of a Captain. And there's supposed to be every single one of them there. And the Vice Admiral Garp is there too." The first mate shivered in fear. "Garp? That old bastard is still alive and kicking?" Jacks laughs. "You sound like you know him personally. Who are you?" The first mate asks. "My name is Monkey D. Jacks. The Vice Admiral you speak of is my father." Jacks says with a huge smile. "FATHER?!" Everybody yells in unison. "Yeah. What happened?" Jacks asks. "Yhh we shouldn't be surprised by that now anyways. There's been a lot happening nowadays. Well. My name's Miyara Eizo." The first mate says. "Also, you came on board asking for food. When you could've just hauled a fish like that." "Well one. My small Dinghy would've capsized. And two, I wouldn't have any way to cook it." Jack says. "Well are you sure about going to Marineford with this crew?" Miyara asks. "Yeah. But first, let's go find Foxy. As your captain, my first orders are to go and get our first victory." Jacks says all excited. "But good sir, with a crew like this. Are you sure?" Miyara takes a look at every crew member. "I'm 100% sure. We'll take your flag back and get revenge." Jacks yells. "You heard the Captain. Pull up those spirits and Anchors. Turn to the starboard and straight forward towards Long Ring Island." Miyara gets all fired up.
