13 First fight of my life

As I crept closer to get ready to attack, it saw me. It charged at me. I thrust by staff but it dodged to the left.

I do a sweeping strike to the left but it jumps and hits me with its horn. It hit me in the thigh. Right before I get hit I see 2 small bars show up in the left. For the small glance I give, I see some letters then 2 colored bars.

One is red and the other is green. As I get hit in the leg I see a very small amount disappear from the red one. I freak out as the rabbit starts jumping around me. I start to flail my staff using it similar to a club.

As I do that, the rabbit takes advantage and hits me in the back. As I feel the intense pain, the red bar goes down a little more and I see a small red droplet next to it. As I swing to keep the rabbit away, I see the red bar get a little smaller as I feel a warm trickle on my back.

I start charging at the rabbit as I freak out from the 2 hits and blood leaking out. Swinging the staff like a madman. I luckily make contact with the rabbit.

We continued the fight for 3 more minutes. I have made contact with the rabbit 5 more times. It looks to be in bad shape. Looking at myself I am not any better.

I see wounds all over my body I see that red pool is around half empty now. I choose to back off and use my Agrimony. As I back off and cast it I get ready to eat it but it disappears. I start to feel my aching body getting better.

I repeat this all 4 times over the next 5 minutes and finally after a few more hits succeed in hitting it in the side and it falls over and stays down. The red pool is around 1/5. As I plop on my but next to an oak tree I cast [Life Blossom] and look at my HP and see it is at 28/110.

I am terrified to fight. If just a rabbit can put me in this near death state then I am worried about the future that I will need to fight. Luckily I have this spirit, it allowed some of the bruises and fatigue to restore.

After I catch my breath for a few minutes, go over to the rabbit to pick it up and as I touch it I feel a connection. I understand that it is a spirit connection. I must work fast to teather the spirit to me.
