9 Youkai and Fallen Angels

I was sitting in my bed in the church while Irina and Xenovia went to get food. I had given them money, since they had somehow spent all of theirs on a stupid painting. I looked up, sensing someone coming towards me.

Standing up and heading outside, all I found was a black cat in front of me.

"Drop the act, I know what you are." I said.

The cat tilted its head, but I continued to stare at it until it shifted, changing from a black cat into a black haired nekoshou wearing a loose kimono.

"How'd you know what I was?" She asked while tilting her head.

"What do you want, I don't have all day to talk to you." I said, ignoring her question.

"Not even going to ask a girl her name?" She asked with a pout.

"You're Kuroka the stray devil. I don't really care, stray devil just means you didn't put up with their slavery. What I want to know is what you want with me." I said with a bored look on my face.

"So you don't like the devils then. Well I came to say my boss would like you to work for her." Kuroka said, turning somewhat serious.

"Pass, I don't work for others, they work for me. Especially someone weaker than me."

"Weaker you say? My boss is Ophis the infinite dragon god." Kuroka said, smirking at me.

"And like I said, I don't work for anyone, especially those weaker than me." I said.

"You think you're more powerful than Ophis?" Kuroka asked.

"No I don't." I trailed off.

"But you just said..." Kuroka started but I interrupted her.

"I know I'm more powerful than Ophis." I finished with a smirk.

"Well someone's cocky. I like it." Kuroko responded with a grin.

"Well if that's all, you can leave now, I've got stuff to do." I say turning around and heading back towards the church.

"I'll let Ophis know what you said, but I'll be back. You seem interesting." Kuroko said channeling energy and cutting a whole in space, stepping through it and disappearing.

'So Ophis knows about me. It doesn't matter, if she tries to force me to join her I'll just kill her.'

As I walked back towards the church, I thought about something I had been wondering about.

'I haven't been able to sense a single youkai in this city besides Koneko. I wonder what the devils gave the Shinto Faction to take control of this city and manage to scare off all the youkai who probably already lived here. Maybe I should visit them eventually.'

When I got back to the church I found Xenovia and Irina waiting for me.

"Some of the devils interfered and want to help. Apparently, the blonde one is going get involved regardless." Xenovia said to me.

"So the perv probably volunteered to help. Who else?" I asked.

"A member of Sona Sitri's peerage and the white haired rook of Rias'" Xenovia responded.

"Well, they can take care of the canon fodder I guess. They won't be much help with Kokabiel, Rias barely trains and it seems like the rest of her peerage follow suit."

"Yes, but we can handle Kokabiel." Irina said.

"We'll see." I say.

"We'll be heading out and looking for Valper and the fallen angels tonight. Are you coming?" Xenovia asked.

"I'll pass. I can tell Kokabiel won't fight just yet. It doesn't fit into his plan. I'll help when that comes, in the meantime, I need to take care of something." I say, turning around and walking back out of the church.

"What are you taking care of?" Irina asked me curiously.

"Now that would be telling." I respond and exit the church. Once I'm out of view of the two of them, I teleport to Kyoto. I walk through the city, making my way deeper into the heart of it, when I feel a barrier in front of me. Walking through it, I find a ton of Youkai walking through the streets on the other side.

As I walk forward, some of the youkai look at me curiously, but otherwise move on and ignore me. Walking through the streets, I hear a giggling and a little girl runs into my legs and falls down.

Looking down, I find a child with fox ears and tails and blonde hair rubbing her head.

"Ow, what'd I run into." the girl said.

"Me." I say.

The girl looks up at me with wide eyes.

"Sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going." The girl said.

Before I could respond, I heard someone call out "Kunou come back here."

Looking down at the little girl in front of me, I say "So you're Kunou then? Looks like someone is looking for you.

The girl nodded and moved behind me, hiding behind my legs. I stood still, content to wait for Yasaka to arrive.

'How does she even walk without back pain.' I thought as Yasaka came into view.

"Kunou, what're you doing hiding behind a stranger." Yasaka said sternly.

"He's nice." Kunou responded, still hiding behind my legs.

"I'm not nice, I'm probably the worst person you've ever met. What'd you even do to get in trouble?" I said to Kunou.

"I ran away from the shrine. I wanted to see the city. I never get to leave." Kunou said, pouting.

Yasaka was looking at me carefully as I responded to Kunou. "Ah yeah, I'd do that too. Sitting in that shrine is probably boring."

"I'd appreciate it if you didn't encourage her. And who are you? You're not a Youkai, I can tell." Yasaka said with narrowed eyes.

"I'm Sakamaki Izayoi, and yeah I'm not a youkai. I'm 100% human."

"A human shouldn't be able to pass the barrier." Yasaka responded.

"I guess I'm just built different. Anyways, kid I think it's time you face your punishment and stop clawing my leg."

Kunou let go of my leg and slowly walked out in front of me, looking at her mom.

"Come on Kunou, let's go home." Yasaka told her, holding her hand out. Kunou took it and turned to me saying "Bye mister."

I just waved and turned around to walk away, when I acted like I remembered something and turned back.

"Oh yeah, you guys wouldn't happen to know Kuroka would you. She showed up bugging me, so I figured the Youkai might know about her."

Yasaka's eyes widened and she said "Kuroka disappeared a few months ago. Where did you see her?"

"Kuoh town." I responded.

Yasaka took on a displeased look at the mention of Kuoh Town.

"That's a problem. If Kuroka does what I think she's going to do, we could have an issue with the devils."

"I've got a question? Why do devils have control of territory in Japan. Isn't that the Shinto domain, which you are a part of." I say to Yasaka.

"It was a deal made between Amaterasu and Sirzechs. I don't know the specifics, but they were given control of the town as long as they protected the people who lived there." Yasaka said.

'She definetely know the specifics, she's just not telling me. It doesn't matter though, she just gave me some interesting information.'

"Well they're not doing their job. Fallen angels killed some people in town along with stray exorcists." I say.

"That's an issue. I'd have to let Amaterasu know that they aren't following their side of the deal." Yasaka said speculatively.

"Well, that's all I wanted to know. I'm going to head back now." I say turning around and walking away from the two.

"Bye" Kunou said waving.

"If possible, I would like to meet again later and discuss the specifics of what's happening in Kuoh Town." Yasaka called out to me.

I turned back around, walking towards Yasaka and handing her a paper.

"That's my number. Call whenever, I'll answer if I feel like it." I say and once again turn around, without any interruptions this time.

Once I exit Kyoto, I teleport back to Kuoh and sense a large surge of energy in the direction of the school.

'So Kokabiel's attacking.' I think as I make my way to the school quickly. When I arrive, I find Sona and her peerage maintain a barrier around the school. When I walk forward, Sona takes note of me.

"You, you're the guy who was accompanying the exorcists." Sona said.

"Yeah that's me. Let me through the barrier so I can deal with this." I say.

"The culprit is Kokabiel, a ten-winged fallen angel. I don't think a human without a holy sword can handle that." Sona said.

"Did I ask if you thought I could handle it? I know what I'm capable of, let me through." I told her.

"Fine, it's not our fault if you die." She responded.

I snorted, but didn't respond as she opened a hole in the barrier for me to walk through. I entered to find a scene of Kiba standing with his Balance Breaker, with Kokabiel flying in the air.

"God is dead. He died in the war along with the Great Satans." Kokabiel said.

Everyone on the ground looked shocked.

"No, you're lying, you've got to be lying." Asia said slowly.

Meanwhile, Xenovia looked lost. Making my way forward, Issei was the first to take notice of me.

"Hey, damn pretty boy. Where have you been?"

"Taking care of something. I'll take it from here."

Kokabiel looks towards me and smirks. "Another human, tell me, what do you think you're going to be able to do?"

"Kill you." was all I replied as I pushed off the ground, blitzing forward at the third cosmic velocity as I arrived in front of Kokabiel, punching him towards the ground. He flew down, crashing with a big impact as dust is thrown into the air.

"What the hell, how'd he do that?" Issei asked.

"How can a human possess that much power. Interesting." Rias said while looking at me with a slight look of greed.

I landed on the ground and waited as Kokabiel climbed out of the crater that had formed from his impact. He was bleeding down his face, looking at me in anger.

"I will kill you." He said.

"You can try."

He formed a massive light spear, throwing it towards me. I just reached out and punched it, shattering it to bits.

Pushing off the ground, I appeared in front of Kokabiel, hitting him into the air. I then appeared above him, hitting him back down. I continued to appear and disappear, with Kokabiel getting punched around in circles as I hit him. Throwing one last punch, Kokabiel slammed into the ground unconscious, bleeding from most of his body.

"He just thrashed Kokabiel. All of us together couldn't do anything." Issei said slowly.

"And he's human." Rias said looking at me.

I picked up Kokabiel and dragged him along with me towards the group, when the barrier around us shattered and a man in white armor came down from the sky.

"I'll be taking Kokabiel. Azazel wants him alive." Vali said.

"Azazel should've come and dealt with Kokabiel. He didn't, so now he's mine. You want him, try to take him." I respond.

I can feel the smirk that forms under that helmet as he charges at me. I throw a punch, meeting his.

"Divide" was heard as he tries to divide my power, but as soon as it meets my body it disappears as I destroy the power.

"How the..." Vali said, but I sent a punch, shattering his armor and sending him flying back outside of the barrier.

Turning back to Kokabiel, I decide to just be done with it and throw reach out, touching the blood that was flowing from his arms. I reverse the blood flow in his body, causing him to die.

Dropping his body on the ground I make my way all the way over to the group and say "What's up."

Asia is still on the ground collapsed from finding out that God is dead, while Xenovia is looking at me with a strange look.

Rias opens her mouth to say something, but a portal opens across from us and out steps Sirzechs, Grayfia and Serafall.

'Well this just got more interesting.'
