Itachi chuckled when he read the system display menu.

" Young man, your a strange one. Why are you staring off into space? Tell me, how do you know of the name Uchiha? "

Itachi swiftly got up and patted his clothes.

" Sir, I'm not sure how you know of the Uchiha clan but that is indeed where I am from "

The man looked at him. As if sensing that he wasn't lying he calmed down. Hearing that nostalgic name was shocking to him.

He hadn't heard of it in a millennium!

" There was once a man, with the surname Uchiha. He was my closest friend and we braved many storms together. He would never tell me his surname until I bugged him about it for years. To think I would see his descendant here… "

Itachi was shocked as he listened to the now seemingly friendly man, the pressure that weighed on him was lifted long ago. He could now think straight.

"How could there be someone from the Uchiha clan here? Not to mention 1,000 years ago… Was he also reincarnated here? This is giving me a headache " Itachi thought to himself.

" Sir, did he have glowing red eyes? " Itachi said to the man.

The man with red hair spoke slowly as he reminisced about the past.

Itachi hearing this was astounded, this Uchiha ancestor of his was unbelievably strong. From his memories of this body, he knew that increasing cultivation realms gave life span, but to actually have the strength to surpass the limit and attain true immortality? This was unheard of!

Itachi got goosebumps listening to his, he didn't know if this was really his ancestor but a deep feeling of pride spurted from him.

The man saw the reverence in Itachi's eyes and smiled, without Itachi realising, the man had already sensed his fighting spirit, there was only one word to describe this phenomenon, it was ambition!

" Hehe young man, your an interesting fellow. Even with your none existent cultivation realm, you have set your eyes on the peak of cultivation. As expected of his descendant "

Itachi coughed from embarrassment, he truly couldn't hide anything before this red-haired man.

Itachi smiled as he came to a realisation. Even if he had to walk through a mountain of thorns, Itachi decided that he desperately wanted to find this man! No matter the cost!

The red-haired man examined Itachi and noticed he kept diverting his eyes at the scroll behind him.

" Hehe, don't even bother. You are not eligible to take this scroll. This scroll is reserved for that figure. However, because you are his descendant, ill give you a test. If you can pass it, this scroll is yours "

Itachi listened to the man and nodded his head, he would be lying if he said he didn't want the scroll. And the constant look he was giving it, gave his aim away. After all, he was here for this scroll! The system had teleported him here for a reason.

No matter what, he had to take this scroll!

" What will the test be? " Itachi asked without batting an eye.

"It's simple. Ji Tiandao stated a few prerequisites. The test will revolve around the quality of your spiritual root mainly "

Following these words, the man named Ryu Rhenzhou summoned a crystal orb out of nowhere. It was translucent and looked plain. It almost seemed like a glass globe.

" This again? Hopefully this time the system doesn't break it. The quality of this one seems to be much more superior "

Itachi told himself inwardly as he analysed the crystal orb.

" Alright! I'll take the test! "

Itachi walked over to Ryu Renzhou and braced himself for his next instruction.

" Very well, place your hand on the orb. I will let you know if you have passed. Although I very much doubt that. I can't sense anything special about your talent "

Itachi smiled and placed his hand on the orb.

The orb started to vibrate slowly, barely changing.

Ryu smiled and nodded in satisfaction. His judgement wasn't wrong. The kid before him wasn't special.

But then all of a sudden.

The orb's vibrations started to intensify tenfold! With no signs of stopping. Small sparks of blue lightning appeared within the orb. Seemingly wanting to escape.

Ryu Rhenzhou widened his eyes in disbelief. In all his years, he had never seen the orb give such a reaction.

Just when Ryu was about to lose his composure, the orb started to vibrate even more intensely! At this rate, his prized treasure will break!

Itachi was oblivious to Ryu's thoughts, he had long closed his eyes and calmed his mind. He had no idea what was going on.

Just before the orb was about to break! Ryu bellowed to Itachi.

" Remove your hand!!! "

" Huh ?"

Itachi opened his eyes and quickly removed his hand.

Right now, Ryu had a million thoughts going through his mind. Not only did Itachi pass the test, but he also passed it in a fashion he didn't think was possible!

" Not even a high-grade spiritual root would show such a reaction, in all my years, this treasured orb of mine has never come close to breaking! What kind of heaven-defying talent does this kid have? "

Ryu Renzhou said to himself, whilst shock still evident on his face.

" Kid, ill give it to you. You have truly surprised me, a promise is a promise, you have passed the test! The scroll is yours "

Itachi smiled in satisfaction, although he didn't know how passed, he attributed it to the spiritual root he gained from the system. This confirmed Itachi's thoughts that the system truly did give him the root, before this, he was unsure since he couldn't test it out. But clearly, it showed its effects here.

" Yes sir! "

Itachi bowed as he looked at Ryu walking back and taking the scroll from its stand.

Ryu reluctantly handed the scroll to Itachi, he was reluctant because this was the only item left behind by his friend. But he was not a man that went back on his promise!

Today was the day he parted ways with this item.

As Itachi took the scroll, the scroll as though finding its owner briefly shined in blue light. On the scroll, were a bunch of letters and inscriptions Itachi could not read. But he could sense the power that lay within each letter.

It felt like each letter held the power to wipe out the planet.

Even Ryu who was rarely shocked noticed the aura of the scroll. He had never seen it shine so brightly before.

" What an interesting fellow "

Ryu smiled as he gestured to Itachi to follow him.

" Come, now that you have got what you wanted. Let me take you to the exit "

Itachi nodded, but before he walked another step. He was greeted by the robotic voice of the system.

- The host has accomplished his mission, teleporting the host to his dorm will commence in 3…2… -

Itachi widened his eyes, the system was about to teleport him. He didn't even have time to talk to this Senior Ryu and learn some things.

" Senior! I have to leave, goodbye and thank you! "

Itachi sincerely bowed out of respect and as though he wasn't there to begin with. He disappeared in a flash.

" Huh?! "

Before Ryu Rhenzhou who was walking towards the exit was about to turn around, Itachis's figure had long disappeared!

" He left? Hmph! Does he not know any respect? I still had some questions I wanted to ask him, he must have a magical artefact if he's able to teleport out of here. What a crafty fellow "

However, Ryu's eyebrows furrowed, as though in deep thought. He was still shocked about the test. He wanted to ask Itachi where this fellow came from and how he came here, but just like the wind, he came and left like he was never here, to begin with.

As if coming to a realisation, Ryu spat out in anger.

" Indra Uchiha, you bastard… So that mighty figure you spoke about that would one day claim this scroll was your descendant? You made me wait here for a 1,000 years! You could've at least told me he would be your descendant! "

However Ryu's anger subsided along with those words, what was left was a wide grin.

" The New era is beginning… just like you predicted Indra. I will be looking forward to the growth of this descendant of yours… Let's see if he can reach the peak… "

He chuckled mysteriously, his figure warped into the sky and he was gone just like that.
