1 Wake Up

Bright. The room was bright. my eyes winced at the sight of light. Gosh I hate waking up, But this time was different. I woke up in a room. On the left side of the room there was a sink and broken mirror with a white rim on the wall a few steps from the white bed I was in. I sat up a bit and saw a white TV in front of me, it was off. I looked over to my right side and saw a closet, it too was also white. the entire room was white. as I sat up more to find a door I realized. "my hands... they're tied to the bed."

I whispered so softly like a cat creeping on its prey. I let my eyes adjust and realized again that the chains were also... white. How original. I tried to remember how I ended up here in this plain room, without any memories at all. All I can remember is my sisters. My SISTERS! just then my vision went black. and my memories were coming back. My town had been evacuated a few years ago. I lived with my mother, Twin older sisters and Older brothers and youngest brother, there were eight of us.

My twin older sisters Pamela and Pamé had been in the military for a while and just came home, my older brothers Javon and Jason had been in a sports championship but took a break to see us as well, my triplet sisters Alexandrea the oldest out of us Me, Andrea the second oldest and Azary the last one had been in school and our youngest brother Lee-Kai had been at home with our mother. If someone told me that this family reunion would be the last I would have not believed them.

There was an outbreak of a sort of plague that had spread around our town. No one knows how it started but it was deadly and not the good kind, I'm talking mutations, zombies, half animal half human no brains, and weird looking balls with anger issues jumping around like kids in a playground. The army had everyone evacuate. I remember that I was trying to get on a truck with our family to leave but the truck driver saw a zombie and got scared.

The coward, I will never forget what he did to my family. He didn't even look back when he was told he had left us. they just left and there was no turning back. Me and my sisters ran and ran but couldn't catch up to the truck as our mother and siblings yelled for us to hurry up, my mother reached for our hands and held us as long as she could, I will never forget what my mother told us, "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you my little Tanuki's" we couldn't catch up, and we were left in the town. Alone. And forgotten by the world. up till now I still wonder what she meant by "protect us" did she know this was gonna happen? if so why didn't she try and prevent it? she would have protected us that why, right?
