3 Kaos

Elizabeth's heart started beating faster. She couldn't help but wonder why this man would be interested in talking to her. She was by no means ugly. She was actually quite beautiful with her short build, porcelain white skin, dark wavy hair, baby blue eyes and rose coloured lips. The only thing Elizabeth didn't like about herself was her body, she has always been voluptuous and because of that always felt much bigger and uglier than all of her friends.

The man messaging her had a body sculpted by the gods, a jawline that would make anyone stare and the most amazing lips and eyes she had ever seen.

it was like he had been cut out of her dreams and was made just for her.

Although this man seemed to be everything Elizabeth wanted, she was wary. This was the internet after all, for all she knew the person on the other side could be a bald 60 year old man. She decided that she would be careful with what she says to him.

She realizes that she had been staring at the screen for a while and quickly started tying.

"Hey, how's it going?" (send).

Feeling proud of keeping her cool thus far she smiled to herself. Not a minute later she received back a message.

"Good thanks and yourself? I like your profile by the way, what brings you to Chatango?"

Her stomache started to flutter, not wanting to sound pathetic she decided to lie a bit. "I'm good myself, thank you, I like yours too. As to why I'm here, one word, boredom, all of my friends are out of town and so I decided to make some new ones, how about yourself?" (send)

Elizabeth read and reread the message after sending it. The longer Kaos took to respond, the more she regretted it. Next ting she sees is the notification that Kaos is offline. She was disappointed that she couldn't speak to him anymore but got over it quickly enough, she figured he probably had a girlfriend or something that dragged him away. For the next hour Elizabeth sat, making small talk with a lot of different people. A knock on her door finally took her attention away from the screen. Chris was standing in the doorway, arms folded across his chest and smiling at Elizabeth with one brow raised. 'do you know how long I've been standing here?' he asks mockingly.

Elizabeth embarrassed looked down, quickly changed her availability to busy and got up from the bed.

'food ready?' she asked not looking at him.

Chris started laughing as he watched his older sister's embarrassment 'yeah, come on, I got you first, let's go call the others'.

Elizabeth was relieved when her brother said this, he may be rude but he is also sweet, she thought to herself smiling. Noticing the smile on her face Chris seemed to lighten up too. 'I'm glad you're feeling a bit better, you seem to be in higher spirits, did you speak to anyone interesting?'

Elizabeth just nodded and hushed Chris. Their mother wouldn't approve of her talking to strangers online and although Elizabeth was already 19, she still didn't want to disappoint her mother.

As they walked passed the dining room, Elizabeth noticed that the table wasn't set yet and knowing her mother, she would want everyone around the dining room table that night. She paused at the door, told Chris to go on and bring the food there while she quickly sets the table.

Elizabeth had just finished setting the table when her mom and Naomi walked in. Noticing that there weren't any drinks on the table, she quickly excused herself to get a jug of water and a jug of juice from the fridge.

The smell of the food in the kitchen made her salivate, up until now she hadn't noticed how hungry she was. Chris was still busy dishing up the food into serving plates so Elizabeth quickly took out the jugs, closed the fridge and helped put the food on a tray.

Chris had made Chutney chicken with mash and mixed vegetables.

Not only did the food smell amazing, it looked that way too. Elizabeth couldn't wait to eat.
