"Wow, at least I don't have to sleep with the target, well no harem for me then" I blurted out as I was distracted by the magic thankfully speaking the last part too quickly and quietly to be intelligible.

"goddess, do all "Sages" write ironically about themselves? I think I read a few dozen books on about two hundred scrolls and they all seemed pessimistic or playing with the reality of life" I spoke with the same tone as Hephaestus.

"Hahahaha, for one of the children in my family to think like that, it just proves me correct" Hephaestus laughed and spoke with a thoughtful face.

"Well, my child, I see you'll probably have the [Mystery] or [Mage] development skill at the next level, so how about a deal? I give you a spell that might allow you to use the development skill of [Blacksmith] besides giving you a blessing on fire in exchange for you to make one of your [Soul Threads] with me" Hephaestus spoke with a tone of one who commands an empire of first-class weapons.

"Then repeat after me, My mission is the forge, metal is my path and fires my trail, my hammer will hammer reason and culture out of the perverts, and my work will shine through the ages... thus inheriting my desires and vanity mine will use the arcane of "Vulcan" in this land of mortals (Gekai)" which I easily repeated.

So she said.

"So be it, you will now have the name and body of Forgeborn, for my fire has received"

"Huh? Wait goddess shouldn't I get one of their names when making a contract like that with a god?" I spoke confusedly

"Pff, like I was going to give my body to a boy" she said jokingly

"So what did you give me?"

"Well turn around so I can show you"

So she updated my stats again this time with one more skill and magic reaching the maximum number of spells that falna can support.

[Vulcano Ifrit] Fire resistance, and fire-related increase in power and control, can be activated to create a fire aura consuming mind and resistance (similar to [Avenger]).

Magic [Forgeborn] allows you to take the Human form of the being called Prometheus, who gave his existence to Hephaestus in exchange for something.

[Forgeborn] Allows you to use part of Hephaestus' talent and the [escape] and [blacksmith] development abilities.

So I cast out "Forgeborn" so I grew up to 1.77 making my clothes tighter than a certain Hestia.

Happy to regain some height, I checked my body, only seeing the pale skin color and red hair of Hephaestus, with less muscle than I'd expect from a blacksmith or anyone connected with Greek mythology.

"Well, Hephaestus-sama do you have a mirror?"

And she simply pointed at one of the display weapons on the wall, an orichalcum nodachi that reflected like a mirror so I, pffffffffffffffffffft.

(spits fire randomly)

"Hey brat, who do you think you're laughing at? this appearance was influenced by my male transformed form"

'pff Who is this? Lavi with hentai protagonist haircut? even lifting the hair one eye remains shaded! is this Hera's curse? I even feel like I'm going to start attacking lolis when I get out of here, for sure it's the hair or Hephaestus' Greekness'

When I got myself under control I asked her about the important things.

"How do I use the arcane and what does it do?" the way I used to talk and she just told me to go back to my natural shape first which I did with the pleasure of not having my balls pressed against my underwear more than 10 sizes too small.

"Well first you can't use the arcane unless I let you, secondly do your part now then we'll talk"

So I used my magic forming a [soul thread] that glowed blue as it came out of me and turned golden like flames when Hephaestus accepted before disappearing so she taught me how to use the arcane which only allowed me to upgrade someone's Falna family (I'd think she'd use me as a slave, but luckily Hephaestus family members don't update status often), since Hephaestus wouldn't let me do anything else with it, other than warning me that I shouldn't use the blacksmith skill gained by skill in the Forgeborn from in the dungeon or she would spawn a black variant boss.

"Hephaestus-sama, is it possible for me to use your Arcane to add family members?" I asked curiously.

"No, unless you use my blood which would be redundant"

"What if I want to add another family member with permission?"

"You would still need my blood to change Falna, Why are you so curious? is there someone special you want in your 'family' a girl maybe? (/‿¬)"

"Yes, Hephaestus-sama" I replied ambiguously.

"Well if 'that person' comes to me and I approve I'll put it in the family, but it's your responsibility."

"Thank you Hephaestus-sama I won't let you down"

"besides Hephaestus, I wanted to hire someone for the shop in babel and get materials through the family"

"If you want a recommendation I'll tell you who to look for, but you'll have to convince him, about the materials just talk to the manager and say I sent you, enjoy and tell him you're officially a blacksmith"

"Right" I said as I left.

After this in the office of Hephaestus:
