kamal was a town fellow who has never been out of the township named Tiruvannamalai.

His father Kumaran was a clerk in advocate office and his mother Lakshmi is a homemaker. kamal has three siblings two brothers and one sister named vaikundam, neelavannan and Jammu respectively.

His sister Jammu pursuing her degree in a local college, His brothers doing schooling in local schools.

After a long period of a break after the higher secondary exam, waiting for the exam results.

Today is the higher secondary exam result day everyone in the family is waiting for the result of kamal.

Kumaran tells to kamal " Don't worry you would score high marks and became a doctor"

Lakshmi " yeah, I know my son will score high mark and become a doctor"

kamal " ya I will score more marks "

Siblings " oh! will you go to Chennai and stay therein college hostel wow! "

kamal accepting money from his father moved to the nearby browsing centre where we could print the results which are published online on the government website.

As he reached the browsing centre there is a queue of people's waiting there. The results will be published at 9.00am.

Nishant one of the local street boy waved his hand towards kamal.

Nishant " Do you came for the result"

kamal " ya dude "

Nishant " Do you think kalaivani is committed? "

kalaivani is one of the co-student in kamal school.

kamal " No dude, I have no idea! "

Nishant " Dude! the result came everyone printing. All the best, I forgot my registration number will be back after noting down it which is my room calendar"

After ten minutes Kamal's turn came shopkeeper asked for the registration number.

the result was printed out.

He got a score of 1022 marks out of 1200 marks. After seeing the result kamal knows that his result cannot reach him to be a doctor. GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT.

kamal came to the home. went kitchen where his mother is working. Lakshmi could guess that something is wrong seeing his face.

His siblings were around him asking his exam result.

" what's the result? "

" scored low I can't become a doctor" kamal replied

" what? dad gonna beat you! "

" Don't worry we will wait and see if cut off will be lowered "

" cannot get admission in Chennai colleges "

Lakshmi " kamal, the father is calling you to come to the hall "

kamal " I scored low marks, I couldn't become doctor, Am sorry"

Lakshmi " How many times I told to study well? "

Kumaran is waiting in the hall with the printed exam result in his hand.

Kumaran " How many times I told you to get high marks? "

" what happened? "

" To how many people have I told them that you would score more marks and become a doctor. Do you know that? "

Kumaran in between beating kamal educating others to study well and don't disappoint him.

This beating and questioning went up to noon.

His mother Lakshmi cannot take it anymore she tried to stop his husband going overboard.

Kumaran angrily" Lakshmi move out!"

Lakshmi " Do you wanna kill him? "

Kumaran " Do you want him to be a worker like me, living a low life "

Lakshmi " over! stop it! stop the beating"

Kumaran " Lakshmi you are spoiling him"

Later it became a couple's fight. that the end of the day is crying and beaten to a pulp.

The next day everything became normal and even his father advised him that he would apply for an engineering college for him.

Engineering application forms were issued after a week of the result. An engineering application is applied for kamal in Aruna university.

Aruna university where many colleges we're affiliated to it. through its counselling, we could get government college and even able to get a private college seat at low college fees which are fixed.

if they are joining a private college directly they would have to pay a donation of 2 lakhs and 10 times the college fees of a government college. hostel bill will be also very high.

Call letter has been sent from the university has reached home. The counselling date happens to be after ten days of start of counselling, which is based on cut off marks.

every day passing seats in the government colleges in capital city Chennai happens to be filling faster. Tomorrow was the kamal counselling date, his bad luck all the seats of government colleges in the capital city Chennai were filled.

Beating kamal for not even able to score high marks to get a seat in Chennai colleges. Later it came down to that he would be joining tiruchy government college.

All the documents were packed and for the counselling. early morning, both kamal and Kumaran they got the government bus and travelled to Chennai. They reached the Chennai koyambedu bus terminal which is one of the biggest bus terminals in the country.

From there koyambedu they took the local buses to reach the Aruna university where the counselling takes place.

During the counselling when their turn came Kumaran picked the private college in Chennai. Even kamal was shocked never would have thought he would join a college in Chennai which a private one.

Kumaran still used his savings to support his son to study in one of the capital city colleges

Due to scoring good marks in his higher education gained a seat in the famous college valliam college which is affiliated to Aruna University.

Being in the capital city would have great exposure.
