2 Life moves on

Lucky for John it was just some people. They looked like young adults. John saw that one of them were badly injured so he invited them in his bunker to treat the person that was hurt. As he was treating the wound he asked them what their names was. Their names were Ashley, Max and Robyn. After he got to know them he asked them if they would like to stay with him in his bunker and help him investigate the creatures. They gave him a very weird look and Max said:" Thanks old man but how can we trust you." John was shocked by that answer and didnt know how to convince them. They then decided to leave since he didnt tell them why they could trust him. As they were about to go he thought of something that would make them stay. "Wait" he called out "I know what will convince you to stay" They stopped and asked him what it was that would convince them..he told them that he is a scientist and that he wanted to stop these..these monsters. He rambled on and on about what had happened before the creatures were released and all destruction happened. They were shocked to hear that and were actually intrigued by what he did. They couldnt believe he was an actual scientist. He asked them if they would join him after what he had said and to no ones surprise they said they would join. Weeks have past and they were doing pretty okay considering how the area has gone to shit. But something happened a few days ago..something that made John seem like the bad guy in the bunker.
