3 Adventurers Guild

I woke up on my bed as the rays of the morning sun reflect on my face. I sit on top of the bed as I slowly regain mental clearness. I look to my side and see a tanned girl sleeping blissfully as if she's on cloud nine. I sighed as I recall the events that happened last night. To be honest with you I didn't expect it either, to have them so big like this. I think they're about 36FF in size... Let's not even talk about it.

I get out of bed and walked closer to the window, I looked outside as I place my elbows on the windowsill and supported my chin with one of my hands. I watch as people pass the place we're staying in. There are fewer people walking today, I guess it's because it's still early in the morning. I continued on watching random passersby until one particular figure catches my attention. This man is dressed with fancy leather armor underneath a black cloak, he also has a sword strapped on his waist and rough leather hand wraps. I stare at the man intently as he walks on continuing his way towards the center of the town. A pair of hands suddenly comes out from behind me and squeezes my chest.

"Eeeek! Libera!" I call out to the person behind me.

"Mwehehe!~ Good morning, Noel!"

"Good m-morning... You didn't have to do that you know!"

"Teehee~ Sorry!" Libera apologizes to me as she sticks out her tongue... I swear to any living god, that this girl is a lot more troublesome than my younger brother. I thought of having a payback that I would also squeeze hers, but I couldn't bring myself to do such a thing. I blushed a bit as I started to have improper thoughts. (AN: Bad Noel!)

"Noel? Hey hey!"

"Huh?" I snapped out of my own world as I heard my name.

"We have to change clothes! We'll be departing soon after we eat some breakfast!"

"Eh? But this is the clothing that I only have though?"

"Haah? Then wait for a minute!" Libera turns around and walks to the wardrobe, she strips down naked as I turn around with a red face. Eeek! She should've told me that she'll change clothes!

"Noel! I'm done, let's go downstairs!" I turn around and see a small tanned skin girl wearing a brown leather vest tied with a pair of black leather pants and high cut boots! She grabs my hand as we run downstairs to the inn's lobby, and it seems like uncle Hubert is already there, waiting for us.

"Ah, you girls finally woke up. Come come, take a seat! The food will come shortly." Uncle Hubert signals for us to sit down on the other side of the table. We sat down on top of a wooden bench as we wait for our breakfast to arrive.

"So, Noel, about the thing that I mentioned yesterday. I and Libera would be going to the Capital city after this. You mentioned that you'll go to the Adventurers Guild to find some work there. In my opinion, you aren't fit to go there, not yet at least."

"Why do you think so, uncle?"

"First of all, you lack defensive equipment. All you have is a white blouse and a black skirt. Second, you don't seem to be carrying any weapon at all. You'd be hard-pressed to look for any job at the Guild at your current state. Even if you successfully registered." Uncle Hubert is right. I haven't got any proper equipment for my adventure. If only that mischievous goddess at least gave me proper clothing... Wait, speaking of her. I asked her for a Holy Sword! But where the heck is it!? When I woke up in this world, I didn't see it next to me nor near the place I woke up from. S-she tricked me!

"Don't worry Old Man! I'll accompany Noel to buy clothing today, and also a weapon for her to get started on!"

"Really? That's good to hear then."

The food finally arrived at our table. Till now, I'm still amazed at how fast Libera eats her food... Is she always a hungry wolf!? We quickly ate our breakfast then waved farewell to the receptionist of the inn. We walked to the center of the town as both Libera and uncle Hubert accompanied me to buy my own equipment. uncle Hubert came along because he offered to buy the stuff that I needed. What a generous kind Old Man! We went in on one of the armorsmiths in the town, then headed towards the weaponsmiths on where I got a simple short sword. Uncle Hubert gave me 10 silver coins to start off and a potion bottle with yellow looking liquid, uncle Hubert told me to drink it in times of need if I'm extremely exhausted. Uwaah! A stamina potion!!!

Uncle Hubert told us to go to the Adventurers Guild ourselves as he'll be waiting at the town's center for us. We parted ways with the old man and walked to the Adventurers Guild. The Adventurers Guild of this town is just like any other kind of Adventurers Guild you'd find in a fantasy world. The guild looks like a gigantic bar, with an array of tables and chairs to the side and a giant notification board, on where the mission requests seem to be posted. The Guild has a lot of adventurer parties inside talking and laughing with each other. It looks like the adventurers of this world aren't so bad. We walked to the end of the Guild Hall to talk to the receptionist to inquire for a registration.

"Hello hello! What can I do for you?"

"Heyoo! Miss receptionist! My friend here needs a registration!"

"Oh? A newcomer? Alright, please follow me."

The lady receptionists signaled for us to follow her at the back of the Guild, there we entered a dimly lit room with a stone stele at the middle. The stone had engraved runes on its surface, seemingly having a purpose?

"Here we are. First, we need to examine your magical aptitude. We don't usually do this type of treatment for beginners, but because there is a lack of people who practices magic. We are told to examine newcomers every now and then to see if they are eligible enough to be taught the ways of the Arcane." The lady walked into the stone stele and touch its surface. Then, the runes of the stele started to slowly glow until they're glowing as bright as a firefly!

"Alright miss, please step beside me and place your hand on top of the magic device."

I stepped up near the receptionist as I nervously stare at the stone stele that is brightly glowing. I slowly placed my hand on top of the stone as I closed my eyes, thinking that something bad may happen. (AN: Scared?)

The runes from the stone glowed ever brighter, runes suddenly started changing color from yellow to red then blue and lastly purple. As the runes changed colors I felt like a dam suddenly burst within me and filled my whole being with warmth. The runes slowly dim and that feeling of warmth also begins to fade away.

I opened my eyes and look at my surroundings. My eyes went wide at what I saw! All I see is a frozen floor, burnt stone, and the crackling of static electricity. I turn around to find both the receptionist and Libera are tightly clinging onto each other as if their lives depend on it.

"N-noel..."

"Libera?"

"Ahem... Congratulations Miss Noel!, you have passed the test. Please proceed to the lobby as I report this to the Guild Master." The lady looks at me with sparkling eyes as if she saw a chest full of gold and rare gems... Libera and I went back to the guildhall as we await the test results.

"Hey, Noel, What the heck was that?"

"Huh? I-I don't know, I just placed my hand on top of that stone, then I suddenly felt something breaking open inside me, and filled my whole body with warmth. Next thing I know, the room became like that..."

"Hmmm... Anyway, that was amazing! Though it is scary! I almost got hit by one of those flames you know! But, still, it was really amazing! I've never seen anything like that! Even the mages at the Capital didn't do stuff like the thing that you just did."

"Eh? You've been to the Capital?"

"Mn! I was born there. Why?"

Hmm, so Libera is from the capital of Al-Fior... Is she a daughter of someone important there perhaps? Maybe a noble even?

"Ahem!" I snapped out of my thoughts and looked to the side. There I saw a tall Elf, wearing a fancy suit. He has long blonde wavy hair and a handsome face, credited to his race's reputation.

"You must be miss Noel? My name is Tuciel, the Guild Master of this Branch. May you please come with me? For there is an important matter we need to address."

The Guild Master!? W-what does he need with me? I didn't do anything bad though! Sigh... whatever let's just go.

"A-alright, but can my friend come with us?" The elf quickly glances at Libera and nods at me. I'm glad that Libera is allowed to come, she's the only person that I could trust here and also uncle Hubert of course!
