While the sun sets, and streaks of rose and orange glow in the sky, the sphere in the dragon's mouth continues to grow and shine brighter and brighter.
As Choji and Sakura quake in their chanclas, Hinata and Shikamaru calmly assess the situation.
[Hinata] "Byakugan."
Hinata widens her eyes from seeing the massive reservoir of mana in the dragon.
[Shikamaru] "How strong do you think it is Hinata?"
[Hinata] "This thing isn't something we can handle. It has more mana than all of our chakra combined."
[Ed] "You should get as far away from here as possible. You'll just get in the way if it were to fight here."
[Hanabi] "Have some more faith in us. We're ninja."
Ed shakes his head in disapproval.
[Ed] 'York, use Reckless Greed.'

[York] You know that if you use this you won't get the fusion monsters for level 10, correct?
[Ed] 'Yeah, well I don't really want to die, so I'll take whatever useful items I-
Ed's voice cuts off when Acnologia fires. All of the ninja scatter except for Hanabi and Hinata who attempt to use rotation.
[Ed] "NO GET OUT OF THE WAY!"
Ed rushes in and tackles the two of them while they are still using rotation. The barrier slashes away at his skin, turning his body into a bloody mess. The dragon's breath narrowly misses and hits the ground behind them, causing a large shockwave. The trio get launched into a small hill. Half of Ed's bones are shattered on impact. He is instantly knocked unconscious, while Hinata and Hanabi, suffer severe injuries. The ninja who weren't standing in the vicinity were blown away and collapsed from the air pressure.

As the blood leaks from the comatose Ed's orifices, York takes control of his body. He pulls out the syringe containing Nutrient Z and injects half of it into himself, distributing the other half between Hinata and Hanabi. As Acnologia closes in, ready to deal the final blow, York Activates the Dark Core and sacrifices BJTS.
[York in Ed's body] "Sorry, you big lizard. Can't have you killing us yet, now can we?"
[Acnologia] "RAAAAWR!"
In a shaky voice, York exclaims,
[York] "With this Dark Core, I banish you to the Shadow Realm!"
A black hole opens up between Acnologia and Edward as the hulking figure makes it's approach. The wind howls as the immediate area around the hole is sent hurtling to the abyss. Acnologia's body becomes warped by the spatial fluctuations while the increasing pressure slowly draws him in. The dragon desperately struggles to overcome the force, and futilely lets out a a thunderous shriek, just before being swallowed whole by the infinite darkness.
[York] "Hopefully that will buy us some time to get stronger."
[York] 'After all, it would be pretty depressing if Ed and I died on the first day.'
As York relinquishes control over Edwards body and limply falls to the ground, the ninja begin to stir.
When they awake to the scone of the deep valley gouged into the once pristine land, they realize just how thin the line between life and death truly is.
