9 Chapter 8

Two days passed and Jayden's fear started to melt away. Even Jacob and Braylon seemed a bit relaxed as nothing out of ordinary had happened and Jayden was able to sleep peacefully at night and do whatever he wanted to in the morning. The creepy old dude was not sighted either. This did make the boys cheerful.

Days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months. It was almost school time now. Jayden and Jacob were exited to start High school. There was nothing to give them goosebumps. Even Jacob was convinced that this was just the side effect of being at wrong place at the wrong moment, and for Jayden's nightmare and stuff, he thought Jayden got full blow as he was nearer to the amulet.

The bell rang two days before the school reopening. Braylan opened the door to see Jacob. He smiled. Jacob, Jayden, Braylon and Samuel had become good friends during these days. Samuel didn't know anything about what happened.

"Where is Jayden?"

"I don't know. I thought he was with you. He went out 15 minutes ago."

"Then where is he?"

"He wanted to buy some books. Maybe he is buying and will be back in some time. Come in!"Jacob entered the house. He was here to borrow some books from Jayden. He asked Braylan to give him the books and then he left.

It was not before evening that Jayden returned. His condition was not good. His brown hair was covered in grass and soil. His back was also covered in grass and soil. He looked pale. He didn't have any physical injury but he was shaking like a dry leaf.

"Oh my! What happened Jay?" Jane gasped.

"Nothing mom! I am fine?" He said and turned towards the stairs. He glanced at Braylan that clearly indicated that he wanted to talk to him. Braylan gave him a slight nod.

"You are not going anywhere till you tell what happened!" Jane said. "Marco! Come here and please be quick!" She called her husband and soon enough Marco was there.

"Heck! What happened?" He cried.

"It's nothing, dad," murmured Jayden. But that certainly didn't convince them. He was made to sit down and narrate the whole incident. But it wasn't easy for Jayden to open his heart to his parents. Especially after how they laughed at his face and said he was paranoid.

"Tell me! What happened?" Jane asked rather sternly. Jayden sat there, his head hung low, thinking what to saw. He glanced towards his brother and he nodded encouragingly, In the end, Jayden decided he will tell the truth.

"I was going to visit Jacob. But then I saw that creepy old man and I don't know what happened. I woke up in the graveyard and came back home." He hadn't narrated the honest incident but this was real with some necessary changes.

"Go back to your rooms right away boys," Marco said in a soft voice. they looked concerned. The boys walked in silence.

"What actually happened Jay?" Braylan asked the moment they stepped into Jayden's room.

"Well, I was going to Jacob's but I had a feeling that someone's following me. I changed path and started walking to the park. At the gate of park, I saw something. I t was not human. I couldn't get a better look as I felt the air around me pressurise me. It was like air was pressing me from all the sides and then I lost consciousness. I woke up in the graveyeard and walked back home." Jayden narrated the complete incident. His voice was hollow. This made Braylan more worried.

Now when we thought everything is fine, we had to witness another one. Braylan thought. Who knows if Jayden is speaking the truth or not. Maybe he is. But why is his voice so hollow?
