1 Prelude

So it was all like this...

This story begins with the name of our MC, Louis Nicoli.

Louis is a hard-working 21 year old 4th year college student who is studying at the University of Velorum. Although the university where he is currently studying is not "high-class," at least he earned a scholarship, and that was enough.

His life is too simple for him. It would have been peaceful if it were not for the fact that they had to strive hard enough to have food in their table. He lives in a shabby cottage, in the inner corner of the city, with his father, Mr. Sirius, and his sister, Euphia.

As for his mother...

She's stopped bidding goodbye in this world for a long time. She died after giving birth to his sister, and he was devastated by the prospect that Euphia couldn't at least share more time with their mother. Mr. Sirius, on the other hand, spent a great deal of money just to bury his wife properly. And hence, Euphia will just see the image of their mother on portraits.

Alright, let's not remind our MC of the past.

Mr. Sirius is a construction worker with only a wage of just 50 whystefia per week. And that's enough for them to last the whole month.

Euphia is just two years younger than her brother, which means she's in college too. When she was a 1st year college student, she used to study at the same university as her brother. Yet somehow when she was in her second year as a college student, all of sudden she had the money to enroll in an expensive university, with who knows where she got the money. Even though Louis and Euphia studied at the same university, Louis prefers to go home first to study, so he doesn't know what his sister's been doing after classes. Yet she said that she had a part-time job, so she was able to cover the bills for her new university.

As you can see, the lives of our MC and his family are simple, right? There's nothing worth mentioning here. What they need to do to live is to work hard, doesn't all human beings do that as well?

Fate often makes the worse out of things, always playing with people's lives.

But...

Just because fate makes things bad doesn't mean it can't make things any better...
