18 Hiccups

The car was a write-off, and the person stared back at Elena with an impassive look without perception. He might have expected these will be the ultimate moments of his life. Elena soon came back to her senses. Her eyes widened with tears welling up in her eyes.

"NI...NIXON!!!" she shouted staring at the person drenched in blood.

Hearing Elena, Daisy moved to her side with terror plastered on her face. She held Elena by arms ceasing her from moving forward.

"LEAVE ME DAISY!!" Elena screamed trying to come out of Daisy's hold.

They saw Nixon barely holding consciousness, and he was trying to speak something. Just then, they heard a siren and four people came out of the ambulance.

They carried Nixon to an ambulance with Elena and Daisy tagging along with them.

Taking one of his hands in hers, "Ni...Nixon, You will be all right. Please hold up for a few minutes." Elena reassured him.

Something shook her to the core, but she got to have a hold on her so she can assure him. But when she made a call to the person whom she wished was by her side now, her bottom lip quivered and big tears rolled down her cheeks.

"Hello Elena" She heard him.

Hearing him, she lost all her restraint and sobbed unable to control her fear and pain.

Wild thoughts ran in his mind, hearing her sobbing. He was worried if she might have got hurt. He paced in the basketball ground.

"Okay I am here, now tell me what happened? Please stop crying!" he said anxiously.

"Ni...Nixon,"

"WHAT! WHAT NIXON? WHAT THE HE*L HAPPENED" Murat shouted as he couldn't take it anymore.

"H...he met with an accident. -Hiccups-

We will arrive at We Care Hospital.." Before Elena could continue anymore, the line went dead.

Terror-stricken, Murat ran off to his car and speed up to We Care Hospital as soon as he heard Elena. He was trembling and within a blink of the moment, he was at Hospital.

Nixon was taken into the ICU as soon as the ambulance reached the hospital. Elena handled the paperwork and waited for Murat.

Murat ran off to his brother's room after enquiring about him at the reception. When he entered the ICU ward, he saw that Elena and a young woman are seated on the chairs outside the ICU.

At once after seeing her, he called out her name.

"Elena!"

Hearing his voice, she ran towards his embrace and hugged him without caring about anything.

After about 3 minutes she left his embrace. He neither showed any emotion nor he asked about Nixon. He was giving her time to relax so she could explain it all.

Composing herself she looked at him. He was calm with a neutral emotion.

Holding his hand in her, she whispered to him, "Nixon will be all right. We won't let anything to happen to him,".

Nodding, Murat walked towards the ICU.

In a dark room, a man sat on the Wing chair with a black cat in his lap. Anger was radiating from her and he had a cold look on his face.

He dialed a number and after about two rings the person on the other side had lifted the call.

" He...Hello Master "a girl's voice boomed in the darkroom as he turned on the speaker throwing his mobile on the table in front of him.

"YOU LITTLE BIT*H! WHAT THE HELL I ASKED YOU TO DO?" He roared making the other person tremble with fear.

"For...forgive me, master. I w...was executing your plan as you a...asked me to do. I...I don't know how he.." before the girl could speak the man interrupted her.

"SHUT UP YOU BIT*H!! WILL YOU?" He shouted without giving any room for her to speak.

The girl was shaking with fear and she was sure that he might kill her for screwing up his plans.

Poor girl!

"I shouldn't have assigned this crucial task to a weakling like you!" he roared and the next moment she heard a loud noise of things crashing.

BANG!

"I..I am so..sorry ma..master" the girl murmured barely holding her tears which are about to fall out.

The next moment the line went dead.

Its been about 4 hours since Nixon was admitted into the hospital. As soon as the doctor walked out of the ICU Murat ran towards him.

"Will he be alright doctor? How long is it going take him to recover? Do you want me to get anything for him?" he asked anxiously.

"we gonna put him under observation for 3 hours. Only then I can say anything about his condition." the doctor said patting on Murat's shoulder.

Elena felt his pain and she couldn't see him shattered anymore. She looked around but Daisy was nowhere. Elena walked towards Murat who was barely holding himself. She took his hand in her and left the place.

-Hiccups-

Elena looks everywhere but him. Blushing hard, "Ugh! I am sorry" she apologizes for the hiccups.

For four hours it was the first time Murat smiled a little. Elena was happy that at least her hiccups were useful at that moment.

"No problem," he said handing a water bottle.

When they were about to step outside of the hospital, it started raining heavily.

"Well, I guess we need to stay inside the hospital after all," Elena said smiling at him.

Murat just nods, and they walk back into the hospital.

A girl wearing hoodie collides into Elena, and without even apologizing she runs off the hospital, in the process the girl drops her chain.

"The girl who collided into me dropped her pen," Elena said to Murat staring at the pen.

"I feel like I have met her before, but to be fracked, I haven't seen her face now," Elena said feeling nostalgic.

"You are quite tired. So its natural for you to be like this." Murat said smiling at her.

Suddenly, As if she remembered something, her smile dropped and she looked at Murat.

"This accident reminds me of the day, two years back, when I asked you to meet me."
