Fun Night?

* X x * x * x * Chapter 31 * x * x * x X*

A ray of sunshine that passed through the small opening between the blinds of the window hitting Kaye in the face woke her up. Reminiscing from last night's wonderful dream, her eyelids refused to unfurl.

The feelings are still vivid and lingering but she can't seem to recall clearly the events. She tried to spin around when a certain smell that she learned to adore filled her senses.

Her green eyes burst open and were met by an unfamiliar room. She didn't move a muscle at first but instead moved her pupils from side to side trying to scan the place.

She slowly turned around to see if she unfortunately made a mistake and slept with someone. In the back of her mind, she is praying it was Z and no one else.

"Please, please, please!"

She breathed a sigh of relief when she didn't find anyone and the part of the bed didn't seem like someone had been there but instead, there were a pair of …shorts?

However, this newfound sense of relief was soon washed away.

She noticed the sleeves of her shirt which is not what she was wearing last night. She quickly sat up, lifted the blanket in horror, and looked for something suspicious.

Blood escaped her face when she saw that she only had her lacy underwear on. She calmed herself down trying to recall what happened last night but nothing was coming to mind.

She can only remember up to the point when Cassie spoke with Jeremy's mom and a hazy bit of when she wore the shirt she has now.

With a heavy breath, she lifted the blankets again and looked at her state. She wondered how her clothes changed. She doesn't feel anything out of the ordinary so she no longer paid it no mind as she sighed in relief.

"I don't think something to worry about happened." She whispered to herself.

She flinched when a door suddenly opened and revealed Zach, looking fresh and tall.

She has a towel on her still-drenched hair, hiding parts of her eyes; wiping it dry.

She's wearing a nice, long, black haori that transitioned to blue with a pattern of the great wave of Kanagawa over her white shirt.

'What is with this display of astonishment so early in the morning?' She's just glad she didn't say that out loud.

"H-Hey! Good morning. I-I see you're awake already. Did you have a good night's rest?" Z stuttered. She didn't expect her to be awake already and goodness, does she look so hot with the bed hair.

"Yes, good morning." She replied. She's worried that she looks hideous in her eyes.

The events from last night played in Zach's mind. Thankful for her wet hair that covered a considerable amount of her face.

"I just wanted to check in on you… Uh, would you like to join us for breakfast …or shall I bring it here?"

Zach's eyes fell to the floor and she almost forgot what she's gotta tell her. Her ears were red as she looked away from the floor.

Kaye got confused by her weird murmurs so she looked down at the floor without thinking.

"Oh my god!" Kaye shoots up from the bed and grabs her brassiere and hides it behind her back. She must have thrown it around last night.

Z looked away from her and coughed. Kaye realized that she made it worse by jumping out of the bed. Having only her undies on completely slipped her mind.

There's actually no issue with her not having pants but it's a different story since it's in front of Zach.

She jumped back to the bed and covered herself with the blanket yet again.

'God, this is so embarrassing!' She thought.

She turned her gaze around and saw a picture frame with her and the Scotts in it. "So erm, this room, whose this?"

She cleared her throat, "I mean, whose room is this?"

"It's mine." Z walked to the dresser near the door and sat at the edge.

Kaye just nodded.

"Figured I'd take the guest room instead," Zach added.

"Why?" Kaye puzzled.

She's the guest so she wouldn't mind taking the guest room. "And how did I get here anyway?"

Sweat started forming on Zach's forehead.

"Uh, I carried you here and uh, because it has its own bathroom and Auntie wanted you to take this one."

Seems like Kaye doesn't remember what happened last night. Zach felt relieved yet disappointed at the same time.

They couldn't continue the talk anymore when a single knock sounded and the door opened once more.

The door revealed a very sloppy Jeremy.

"Mornin'! Mum stayed over." He said yawning while rubbing his eye and belly under his shirt at the same time.

Jeremy heard nothing so he opened his only to see someone else on the bed. His brows met as he saw the woman.

"That's right. Why don't you take a shower first, J?" Jeremy's eyes moved to Zach that was sitting on the dresser. One foot is on the floor while the other is hanging like some supermodel waiting for the photographer to snap a capture.

He switched his gaze over the two people in the room and formed a mischievous smile.

"Oh, fun night?" He wiggled his eyebrows at them. His hand was still under his shirt scratching his belly as he leaned on the door frame.

Kaye blushed at his question and answered, "It's not like that!"

"No. Get your mind out of the gutter. It's too early for shit." Zach dismissed his friend's teasing. "You go freshen up, I'll be downstairs."

"Aye, cap'n," Jeremy said before nodding at Kaye. "I'll see you guys in a bit."

Zach sighed.

"Sorry about that." Zach stood up and went to one of the cabinets.

"Erm, right here are my clothes; you can pick anything you want and uh, I have a new set of uh, undergarments here." She pointed at one of the drawers.

"There are towels and robes inside the bathroom and uh, there is also a new toothbrush. Please let me know if you need anything else."

Kaye just silently watches her. Admiring her beauty, she nodded.

"Thanks. I think I got it. I'll be down in, I don't know, maybe in 30?"

"Right…Yea, that works. I-I'll see you later."

After all the stuttering, Zach finally left the room.

Kaye chuckled at how Zach is acting weird. She remembered from last night what Ameliá mentioned so it must be because it's her first time inviting someone over.

Kaye went inside the bathroom as soon as the tall woman was no longer in sight as she sighed in her clumsiness.

The bathroom was spacious. There's a shower inside a glassed cubicle separating it from the toilet. She stopped for a moment when she saw herself in the mirror.

There was something like a bruise, a lump forming her throat. She hasn't had it before but she's almost sure that it's a hickey.

She tried her hardest again to remember last night but to no avail.

She brushed it off thinking it must be a bug bite or maybe she slept against something or whatever. She went straight to the shower and moved as swiftly as she could go down earlier than she had planned.

It didn't take long for her to be outside the shower with a silly smile playing on her lips.

She smells amazing. Her senses are filled with Zach's scents and couldn't be happier. She didn't care how creepy she was, after all, no one would ever know.

She pulled out a robe that was sitting in one of the cabinets and a towel. Thankfully there is a blower by the shelf above the sink.

She went outside the room to look for something to wear. For underwear, she had an option between boyshorts, hipster, or bikini panties.

After a series of incoherent mumbles and a few blushes, she settled on the boyshorts since she has never worn one before and carried on to choose which shirt she should sport.

There were a variety of shirts but the almost lack of choices made her smile. There were only limited color schemes. She chose to wear a simple white pullover that is not too thick.

She couldn't find any shorts to wear so she simply slipped on her jeans from yesterday. She thought of calling Cassie who must be worried but sent a text instead.

As Kaye was taking her time choosing, the two best buddies were talking downstairs.

Jeremy started, "Did you guys, you know, sleep together?"

"Oh, I wish." Z chuckled. "I slept in the guestroom"

J pulled a face and frowned.

"What's gotten into you?" Jeremy asked, confused.

"You usually just jump and sleep with women right at the bat."

"Whatever the hell you talking about?"

Zach frowned and asked him innocently while Jeremy just shrugged.

"Well, I'm just saying."

Zach shook her head, "You know that's not true."

"Oh, we both know it is."

"It's not."

"It is so."

"Fuck you."

"Well, you didn't fuck her—" Jeremy wasn't able to finish whatever is left to say as a pillow was thrown in his face.
