7 Not Alone

"Don't worry Miss Katsuragi, he'll be fine (as always)." Leaf cheerfully said as she assures the mother that her son will be safe. The mother waved goodbye and gave her farewell to her son as he began his journey. Behind her was a disappointed Yoake, he has a poker face but his mood is enough to tell he doesn't want Leaf to join him in his journey.

Leaf closes the door, and she quickly changes her mood as she looks at the new and fresh trainer alongside his Pokemon, Ralts, who was on his shoulders. Leaf noticed the poker yet furios face in the trainer but she decided to push it off and asked him some questions while they were walking in the hallways that head to the elevators.

"Hmmm, so you've finally become a trainer, huh?" Leaf asked the trainer.

"Yeah, and you've become an asshole, as the usuals." Yoake cussed at her. Leaf wasn't surprised on how Yoake knows how to swear but she was disgusted how he acts.

"Listen kid, I know you want to become a trainer just so you can impress the girl who gave you your scarf but here's a reality slap, Pokemon training is dying." Leaf remarked as soon as they arrived at the elevator waiting area. Yoake then pressed the down button and decided to rebuttal from what Leaf said.

"Well at least I got an inspiration to move on from what you did two years ago- and also, you can't use my scarf as a way to insult me." Yoake explained to Leaf with a blabber mouth. The elevator bell chimed, and the silver door opened as the elevator was here to pick them up. The two walked in and continued their conversation.

"Now hold on a minute, I've been your babysitter ever since you were six, and for four years of my dedication to ensure that you are safe and nurtured from the absence of your parents, this is what you repay me?" Leaf was furious with the kid's actions, and the young Ralts can sense a fight between the two, or possibly, shouting.

"Sure you did that but YOU'RE THE ONE THAT CRUSHED MY DREAMS IN THE FIRST PLACE! THAT NIGHT! I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT-" Yoake shouted but he was interrupted by Leaf, who was also arguing but with a rising tone.

"WELL I DID IT BECAUSE IT'S FOR THE GREATER GOOD!" Leaf argued,

"WHAT GREATER GOOD!?" Yoake asked her one last time before the elevator bell chimed once more to tell that they were on the ground floor. Yoake fixed the sleeves of his sweater and gave a death glaring stare at her, and left.

Leaf couldn't tell what happened but she followed along the trainer, and left the building. Ralts was confused with the dilemma between the two, and so she decided to ask her trainer about it.

"What is it, Ralts?" The trainer asked his Pokemon as she grabbed his chin. The little Ralts then decided to point to Yoake on what he did and to Leaf but because of the language barrier between man and monsters, he couldn't understand what she was talking about.

"What?" Yoake asked her, she continued on what she was explaining but Yoake still didn't understand her but he was getting an idea on what she was talking about.

"Oh that, just forget about it, it's better for you to not know what happened two years ago." Yoake told her. She sighed as her curiosity wanted information but his mood reflects that he has no interest in telling it to her.

"You know where you two will be heading, right?" Leaf asked the two, on which he nodded.

"Yeah, Viridian City, and you're still following us, huh?" Yoake looked at her with a grumpy tone.

"Oi, your mom told me to take care of you in your journey in the league." Leaf said. Yoake sighed and decided to allow her to join them as his mother's wish but he wouldn't do any friendly actions toward her.

The two headed to the border gate between Pallet and Viridian city, and with the strict measurements implemented by the government for the past few years due to many actions happening to Viridian City over the time.

"Hmm Here you go." The border guard said as she returned Yoake's pokedex and Leaf's I.D.

"So you're a new trainer, right?" the guard asked him, "Yeah."

"I see, well carry on and good luck." The guard said as the two slowly walked away from the post. While the two were walking to the exit of the border, the two had a conversation for a short minute.

"Pallet city changed a lot, huh?" Leaf asked Yoake. Even though the kid doesn't like her, he decided to give his answer, for moral reasons.

"Yeah, it used to be a town, and now, it's a city." Yoake stated.

"Ehem, ma'am, and sir, may I ask you two some assistance." The Guard pointed out the two, Yoake and Leaf were confused by this but they decided to walk back to her.

"Yes, officer?" Leaf asked the border guard.

"Well you see, this girl is also a trainer, and since Viridian City isn't known for it's safety regulations, can you assist her to pass by?" The guard asked as she pointed to this girl. She has ¾ hair length, clean white hair as like a white crayon, crystal blue pupils on both of her eyes, she wears a white hoodie, and in her neck was a gray headphones, a denim skirt, and blue rubber shoes. She also has a blue satchel bag, with a white and blue Pokeball imprinted in it, and a blue pin on her hair.

"I see, no worries, we will assist her." Leaf stated as she stared at this trainer.

"So, you're the new trainer that the women in professor oak's lab told me about?" Yoake asked this girl as he recalled what she told him.

"Yes, and you must be Yoake Katsuragi, right? My name is Ren Mirai." She introduced herself and gave a hand. Yoake smiled, and decided to shake her hands as well.

"Yes, nice to meet you, and just call me Yoake instead." Yoake greeted her as well. The two ended their shake and continued on with the conversation, leaving out Leaf in the process.

"Cool, just call me Ren, then."

"So Ren, where did you come from?"
