1 Chapter 1 Prologue
Deep inside the wilderness forest, there's a mist covering a large area. There's an old mansion inside that mist surrounded by different types of plants, fruits, vegetables, flowers, trees and many more. Inside the mansion is a handsome young looking man which skin is pale as white snow with a long silver like hair arrange neatly while sitting on his chair reading an old book.
" Sigh. I finished this book again. " said the young man while standing up and walking towards his library.
Inside his spacious library are different kinds of books. There are handwritings above the sections mainly saying 'Human', 'Plants' 'Animals'. Walking towards a book section there's a handwriting saying 'Plants' he stopped and place the book on the vegetable column.
" I've got nothing to learn anymore. I already read all of the library's books. At least i can keep myself busy planting different types of plants." said to himself.
The handsome young man's name is Ace Nicolai Clandestine a man trapped inside the mist, isolated outside the world.
The family Clandestine is known for their knowledge ages ago, but suddenly all of his family members disappear into thin air leaving him alone inside their mansion. His father is a Doctor, his mother is a herbalist but that doesn't mean she only knows the herb and such, she's an expert in every types of plants, but mainly on herbs. These two found a place where you can plant almost every plant because of the rich soil.
"Mom, Dad. What happened? Where are you now? I missed you two." Ace said to himself while reminiscing the times where they were living in harmony.
That happened way back in the past where he can no longer remember what day it is. It's been a long long time ago. He is 12 years old at that time and his father who is about 40 is teaching him the anatomy of the human adult and his mother is busy planting flowers outside their house. Suddenly there's a loud screeching sound in the air.
Hurriedly , his father ran outside the house found his wife being strangled by a ugly looking witch-like figure landing and stomping through the planted flowers.
" At last! I finally found you. My Master will be satisfied when he see you 'Mirriam' " said the ugly witch to Mirriam while smiling. It looked menacing but it is the witch's normal smile.
Mirriam fought back as she escaped from the clutches of the witch.
" I will never return to that place, you and your master tricked me before and i will never fall for that again!" said Mirriam while holding her neck panting.
Nicholas stopped and check if Mirriam is okay while saying " Who is she, Mirriam? " as he turn seriously towards the witch.
Mirriam turns to Nicholas saying softly " I am so sorry, my love. Keeping this a secret from you is my biggest mistake. But i know you will accept me as i am when you discover my secret but i was afraid of what it may cause you"
Nicholas looked at his wife lovingly saying "My love, i already have a suspicion for about a year after i met you, i am not afraid of what it cause me even if it is my life. I am willing to give for you" as he hugged his wife tightly.
The witch standing in front of them can't take it anymore and said " oh come on now, its not like I'm going to kill him." then suddenly the aura around the witch changed into a manecing red and black aura then saying hoarsely " I will just torture him and experiment on him until he begs me to kill him." And then the witch laugh loudly.
Nicholas hair stood to the end and shuddered in fear slightly as he feel the aura of the witch. Nicholas is a brave man. He is not a typical doctor, he trained himself at the most gruesome place and manages to stay calm at a time like this but he is still affected by the fear. Then slowly, a white aura appear and covered him feeling warmth in the white transparent aura.
"If you harm a single hair of my family, i will destroy you and your master" Mirriam said as her eyes turned slightly red but only the witch noticed it.
"Alright you can do it, but can you control yourself after 'destroying' me? Much less my master. By the time you kill me, you can no longer control yourself. You might even kill your own family" said the witch while grinning at her.
Realizing what is their situation is, Mirriam sigh helplessly the said "Fine. I will go with you, but we will bring my family with us."
The witch smiled as she thought that this will happen. "We can bring your husband but not your child, he is useless. He doesn't have any energy inside his body, but your husband do. Maybe because of your..." the witch said smiled at the husband and wife knowingly.
"No! There's no way i will agree to this! We will take our son with us!" Nicholas shouted angrily at the witch.
But Mirriam stayed silent for a while thinking. Then she looked at the window seeing her son looking at them silently.
"Alright. But before we go, i would like to say something to my son" Mirriam said to the witch without looking while holding Nicholas' hand while talking towards the window where Ace is.
"I can wait for at least an hour no more and can be less" said the witch then laugh.
When the two got close to Ace, Nicholas suddenly said to Mirriam "Why did you agree to her Mirriam? Our only child can't be left alone in this place, you know that."
"I know what I'm doing Nicholas, calm down and trust me" Mirriam said to Nicholas while looking at her husband's worried face then she turned her attention to Ace.
"My son, me and your father will be gone for a long time. You got to take care of yourself. Please do not resent us for leaving." Mirriam said while tears slowly dripping down her eyes.
Suddenly Ace heard a separate yet familiar voice inside his head saying "Learn and practice this knowledge that I'm about to give you, this will be the key of this place and will give you strength to protect yourself. When the time comes, you will understand. When you are ready go outside the world come and find us. By that time you will be strong enough. Take your time and don't rush yourself. I know you have the patience and i will give you the time you need."
Mirriam hugged Ace through the open window and then Nicholas hugged them both. After a while Mirriam slightly tap her fingers on the back of Ace's head then suddenly fell unconscious.
Before Nicholas can make a reaction a voice suddenly heard inside his head saying "He just fell asleep. Bring him to his room and don't panic, my love."
Then Nicholas carried Ace to his bedroom then lay him on his bed. "I am sorry, my son. Your father can't protect you and your mother" Nicholas said. Sitting at the bed stroking his son's hair. Soon he stood up and approach the door.
With one last look at his son, he closed the door and walked outside the house and arrived beside his wife.
"Can we go now ?" The witch said to both of them while impatiently waiting for them to finishing their goodbyes.
"Alright" Mirriam said as she slowly floats then she look at her husband and holds his hand chanting something then Nicholas floats as well.
The two of then flew behind the witch until at some distance Mirriam suddenly said "Wait!"
"What now?" The witch said with an annoyed face as she looked at the two.
"Give me an hour, i will cast a spell to protect our son." Mirriam said.
"I thought you already do that before we leave?" The witch said as she frowned.
"Just one last hour" Then Mirriam chant a spell with unrecognized language while the energy around her body swirled.
After an hour the witch angrily said "Time is up! We're going NOW!"
Suddenly energy swirled crazily focused around the place surrounding the mansion. The energy within the place suddenly gathered creating a mist that covered the entire area including the mansion.
Mirriam looked like she age a decade with a pale face after she chanted the spell almost fainting.
"Mirriam!" Nicholas said as he hurriedly hug his almost falling wife.
"What did you do?!" The witch shouted at Mirriam with an angry face.
"Ugh. Master will be so upset" The witch said with fear in her eyes. Then she cast a spell taking over the flight spell from Mirriam.
The three of them flew far away as they dissappear into the skies.
Back at the mansion inside Ace's room.
Ace looked like he is in pain while he is dreaming. Inside his dream information flew again and again until he assimilate all the information.
After a week he woke up then suddenly remembered the voice while his mother hugged him.
"Mother, Father" Ace said as he looked outside but there's a mist covering the area, it's dark outside only the moonlights hitting the mist reflect onto the garden to their house.
He ran outside and search the place but when he approached the end of the mist, something happened and he returned to his mother's garden.
By thinking what her mother said to him. He is isolated from the outside. But what about giving him the time he needs? For now he will stay and practice what her mother gave him and trust his mother before going out of the mist.
