8 Journey Part-1

'Isn't it the best choice? I can monitor her and also keep my friendship with Hina,' Veru retorted to himself, looking at the sparkling red eyes. "Okay, but you will hurt nobody ever again."

Sanim rubbed her face on his chest, "I will not until someone steals away Veru from me."

Veru stared blankly towards where Hina and Hose were standing in the darkness, 'It's good if I can someday move on.'

Though her blue eyes couldn't see anything, Hina could sense the tension in the present situation. "Hose, don't you think you got far with him?"

"No! That stupid guy needs to learn his lesson. Let him realize his mistake."

Hina looked towards her opposite, where Veru had gone; she couldn't help but feel uneasy. "I am going to talk with him, maybe unlike you, he can get over with it?" she retorted, getting up from the floor.

"What? Leave my hand." Hina called out to Hose, who was grabbing her hand. "Let him be alone, he will be fine."

Refusing to leave it, Hina sighed and sat near Hose. "Are you sure? Veru is also one amongst us."

"I know him very well. He is throwing a tantrum, he wants me to say sorry, but I am not going to. He needs to learn it if he wants to go to the outside world."

"I just hope you are correct," Hina mumbled in a grim tone.

While the teenagers were hiding, the people outside were busy extinguishing the fire.

"Just who the hell started the fire?" Trevor asked, looking at yellow gigantic flames that engulfed the entire area; it burned everything that came in its way. His expressions crumbled as the whole burn burnt. "Which bastard did this?"

Slowly and steadily, the fire spread as it destroyed everything; and eventually, nothing remained but piles of ashes and dust. The flames left not even a single piece untouched; it leveled down the entire area.

It was just past midnight when the group arrived at the doc.

"Mr. Trevor, can we leave now? This is unexpected, but our leader has given the order to sail."

Trevor replied in a somewhat depressed tone, "yes, I would tell the captain to be ready, and also ask them to load the supplies."

"We need little supplies. Don't stress out yourself, you are already in stress regarding the incident. Sorry, but we have to leave now," said the nurse. Her black eyes filled with pity looked at his dejected face.

"Do you need anything else, Miss?" Trevor asked with a slight jocular tone.

"Yukima," she answered, "no, we already have everything set. All we need is for you to let us sail."

"Okay. I would have joined you, if not for this accident. I need to reorganize everything."

"It's okay," she turned her back away from him, waving her hand with a cheerful smile, "bye, Mr. Trevor, and thank you for your help."

Trevor looked at the lady departing with love-struck eyes. "If only this wouldn't have taken place."

Lending his time to immediate matters, he went back towards where others were standing, searching for any goods left untouched by the flames.

"Thime, are you ready?" Trevor called out the well-built glum-looking man, his square face and almond eyes made him resemble much like a clown.

"Yes, sir." despite having the body of a man, his voice wasn't heavy; if it wasn't in his body, one would think him to be a girl if one never saw him.

"Then get your ass on the ship, and I need no complaints," Trevor screamed at the glum-faced man, as his eyes flared up.

"Y-yes sir," he trembled in fear, as he went onto the ship.

The group was already onto the ship, and with little to no crew other than the group, they sat on the sails.

The calm wind and could invest nothing into the snail-like speed of the metal junk. It drifted in the blue ocean, moving slower than a snail's pace.

"Are we even getting any further?" said a young man, probably in his twenties, with a depressed tone. "It's about to sunrise, and we still aren't any close to the coordinates."

"Klyne, it isn't the captain's fault for the speed. It isn't like a turbine propelled ship. We need to have patience." The black-eyed girl nurse advised.

"Miss. Yukina, if this goes on, we will never reach there at the set time," he argued.

"It's fine, we don't need to. It was just an expected time. It isn't like we have to reach there in three days."

Swish...

The wind suddenly blew faster, blowing her white coat in midair, with her long brown hair hovering as if they were in melody with the fast breeze.

"Open the masts on!" shouted Thime, looking at the only two crew he had with him on this journey.

"Yes, captain!"

The two climbed up on the pole with the rope ladder and opened the masts.

Tremble...

The ship suddenly shook as the moving wind hastened its speed, as everyone on the ship lost their balance.

"It's nothing," Thime shouted, calming down the rest, who were in a disarray.

"What's going on?" asked the leader of the group in his usual grim, threatening voice.

"It's just a sudden air current."

The man looked at the empty water body with his black eyes. "Everybody, get back to your room, and Mr. Thime, I believe you would safely take up to our desired location."

Thime's body trembled; the man emitted a heavy aura, choking his breath. "Y-yes…."

~~~~
"What was that?" Hina called out to ask if the two were fine. Unlike the top, they were much lower than the rest and shook terribly.
Hose and Hina held each other tightly, grabbing the wooden stand for support; as Hina turned towards the side, where the green-haired boy was supposed to be. "Veru, are you okay?"
....
Thump...
Thump...
Her heartbeat grew faster, as she could only hear a long string of eerie silence. "Veru?"
"I am..." a familiar voice came from the direction.
