5 Finally here

Amar turned towards the door to see what was happening while Nio shouted, "Come in!"

A guy without any mask came inside and went near Nio. He whispered something in the ear of Nio and in turn, Nio too whispered something back and then he nodded and again left the room, closing the door behind him. Amar looked at Nio expectedly.

"It nothing much. Just that the council here wanted to know more about the situation and what you both chose. I just told them that you agreed to join us and learn magic."

Amar saw Julie relax a bit and realized he too was holding his breath. Relaxing a bit, he thought about all the incredible things that had happened.

(I didn't even imagine that I would survive a plane crash, get stranded in an island with a beautiful woman, and then get recruited to learn magic. Feels like my brains about to overload.)

"I believe you guys are hungry. I have asked them to get you both some food. They probably are bringing you guys something to eat," Nio said.

Just as Nio finished speaking, two masked guys came, each with a tray and came near both of them and kept the trays in front of both his and Julie.

The tray had a big burger, some fries, and a coke. Seeing these things brought the hunger back with a vengeance. With his stomach grumbling, he slowly started to eat the burger so as to not get sick from eating too quickly. Amar saw Julie doing the same. The two masked guys had already exited the room and Nio was watching them eat.

Finishing the meal, both of them looked quite content at the moment. Amar was feeling very good right now.

Patting his stomach, Amar asked, "So, when will we be joining the lessons and whatnot?"

Nio looked at him and gave a broad smile, "Ah. The rush to learn magic. Always makes me feel young again. Do not worry. We will soon go to the castle which is the training center as well as the place where you will be living until you complete your basics."

Feeling the excitement, Amar even forgot about his Master's program. He couldn't wait to try out his hands-on magic. Imagining all sorts of things, Amar was busy in his thoughts when suddenly Nio shouted, "Ha! Both of you, we will go directly to the castle through the transportation magic. Each of you grabs my cloak and stick close to me. You wouldn't want to miss your body parts during transportation now, do you?"

(Yikes! Missing body part? Better stick close to him and hold his cloak tight. My life and body parts depend on it.)

Hurriedly Amar thought of that as both of them got near to Nio and grabbed a part of the cloak. He felt sweating buckets due to the nervousness.

Amar was expecting some chanting, maybe even some exotic sounding words but all he felt was a sudden feeling of weightlessness and boom, he was in a new place. Dizziness was the first thing Amar felt after arriving in a large hall. He knelt down on the smooth rock floor, trying hard not to puke and saw Julie doing the same.

(She looks a bit sick. Is that how I look as well?)

"Bahahahaha. So how did you like your first transportation magic? Is it what you expected? Study hard and in no time you'll be able to do stuff like this," Nio said while laughing manically.

Disregarding Nio, Amar stood up, now feeling a lot better and looked around the hall. It was a large hall with four circular pillars near each corner of the hall. The huge stained glass was present on the east side of the wall in the hall. A large metal door was behind them while ahead of them there was nothing in the hall except 5 chairs in a row.

"Yeah. It was something alright. Felt like puking my guts out. If this happens every time, then I think magic is scary," Amar spoke with a serious tone.

Julie who too was watching the hall replied, "I don't think that will happen once we train enough. I mean look at Nio, he hasn't even broken a sweat."

Nio who was watching the empty seats nodded at Julie's words.

Julie watched as the metal door slowly opened and a young girl entered the hall, standing beside Nio.

"This is Trish and she will be explaining to you both some things. Listen well to her and she will also answer your questions. Now I need to go somewhere else, so be good youngsters."

After Nio exited the hall, there was an awkward silence in the air.

Julie watched the new girl carefully, a redhead with a few freckles around her nose, she looked the perfect innocent beauty.

"Ahem! Hi. I am Trish Harper and I am the supervisor for the new batch of mages in this island. I will now explain some things. There are in total 5 levels of mages- Novicius, Incipientium, Medius, Provectus, Magi Magnam with the lowest being Novicius and highest Magi Magnam. You both naturally with be at the lowest level. Each step will be exponentially harder to climb. I am at Medius level. Anything you want to ask?" Trish looked at her.

Julie slowly went beside Amar. She mentioned to him about making some questions together to ask Trish. They discussed for a bit and chose a few questions to ask.

"Yes! We both have some questions to ask. We agreed that I will ask them. So my first question is how to address someone here? Secondly, how many new mages are here like us? Third, what and how will we learn magic, and lastly, how long will we need to stay here?" she asked in one breath.

Trish looked at them and with a smile replied, "Hmm. For your first question, you should address mages with their level first and then their name. So, I will be Medius Trish Harper. It's simple right? Next, there are 4 new mages with your batch here. The introduction with them will be later. For your next question, you will learn them in classes just like you would study in a college. It's not that different for magic. You'll get both theoretical and practical knowledge here. Lastly, you will need to stay here till you reach Incipientium level. After that, you'll be able to join the outside world again. I hope that answers your questions. I'll show you the dorm where you'll be staying. Clothes and other necessities have already been taken care of. Tomorrow the other new Novicius will be arriving, so for today, you both stay in your dorm rooms. I will come to your room when it's time for dinner."

(Wow! Such long and complicated answers. And this is just the introduction. How much do we have to study here? Feels like I am back in college and not actually studying magic. Hopefully this time it will be more fun than the last time.)

Hearing Trish explain made Julie think furiously about everything she knew till now. She realized that learning magic was just like studying for a degree in a college. Taking a deep breath she tried to stop her thoughts which were working overtime and looked at Amar who himself was in deep thought. She felt that she knew at least one person here, even if they had met not that long ago. This made her smile and relax a bit.

Taking Amar's arm in her own arm, which elicited a surprised reaction from him, she asked Trish to guide them to their dorm room.

With Trish leading them, Julie and Amar followed her lead and exited the hall.
