this damned loop

"Demon King!! You have truly crossed the line this time around, it's time for your consequence".

"The only ones crossing the line is you, Hero, coming all the way here to die by my hands".

The hero conjures a dual blade made of ice and stands in a battle pose.

"Oh, I have come here to settle things with the very thing that has disrupted the peace and balance of this land, I'm ready to face you head-on".

"You would come here all by yourself? seems you just figured that your allies would hold you back"

"This job is for me alone, buddy... Their job is to take over what belongs to them".

"Enough with the useless chitchat, it's time that we settle this".

"Yeah, sure, it is really the time".

The demon King and the Hero fought each other, the whole castle crumbled to pieces as they battled, they continued until they both unleashed a great wide explosion that exceeded the size of 5 mountains. Eventually, the Demon King lost the fight, his body became too heavy for him to move with, and his entire organs were badly damaged while the Hero stood tall right in front of him with absolutely zero damage received.

"How? That's impossible".

"psh, bro, I make it possible".

One more time, the Hero conjured a blade, this time it was a katana, he raised the blade aiming for the Demon King's heart as it was ready to thrust, "This is the nature of humanity". the hero said with a serious tone, "We replicate what can only be dreamed".

He fuels the blade with some enchantments and modifications, then thrusts through the heart, the Demon King slowly dying as he looks at the Hero, slowly his eyelids closing, the moment it's done, the Hero removed the Katana and throws it on the ground then walked away. Moments later, he felt a sudden heartbeat and blacked out, as he opened his eyes again, he was shocked to witness that he was standing on a summoning circle while butt naked, it made him try to cover up his private parts, a figure of a blonde noble girl appeared in front of him to make her speech.

"I greet the chosen Hero in front of me, please, we need your help, the Demon King has plagued our lands with his great evil army".

As she continued her speech, the Hero looked weirded out, not to the fact that he was naked, it's to the fact of the girl's presence as if he knew her. "Why does she look younger than ever?" the Hero thought, "Did I go back in time or something? That's exactly the same way I appeared in the fantasy world, butt naked on a circle, and she does her 'Save us from the Demon King' speech".

"Would you please help us"?

"First things first," the Hero argues, "I'm literally butt naked, can I please have some clothes"?

He took her request after getting some clothes and went out to see how the cities were doing.

"Didn't that land right there become the greatest restaurant in history?" the Hero thought "Now it has become the shack from ten years ago... or maybe that's exactly the shack from ten years ago, am I back to square one where I got summoned to go on a quest to kill the Demon King? everything looks reseted, was it the Demon King's doing"?

He decided to head out of the city after a few months of training and preparation, he headed straight to the Demon King's territory, when the demons saw him coming they all assumed that he would attack, so they went to attack first, the Hero had no intentions of fighting them, he literally rushed forward without killing anyone to reach the Demon King.

when the Demon King saw him he was surprised to see a human bypass his army like that, as they met again face to face, the Hero was smiling, which made the Demon King feel uncomfortable with it.

"Greetings my dear friend." the Hero said with a friendly tone.

"Who are you?" the Demon King gave out a serious angry tone.

"Come on, Lord Baragus, it's me, we fought each other, for the sake of this world".

"I don't even know who you are, what makes you think that we fought each other"?

"O' Great Lord Baragus... Do you not remember those ten years between us? This Demon King and Hero complex, I remember the day that I have beaten you".

"You must be dreaming, you think that would ever happen"?

eventually, the Hero decided to change the tone from friendly to serious.

"Oh, screw this, just admit that you used some kind of time magic or a time curse".

"... I have no idea what you're talking about".

And thus, they fight again and still, the Hero wins, the Demon King was beaten so badly that he couldn't stand up.

"I know a few theories about turning back time," the Hero said while conjuring a weapon "It's either someone used some sort of wishing tool, or the power of the philosopher stone, or perhaps a god-like entity granting such power to a certain someone, let me ask you this, which one do you think has the possibility to be true"?

The Hero creates a pistol and points it at the Demon King's forehead, the Demon King coughs out blood as he tries to speak.

"If I had such power, I would have used it on myself to destroy this world, and you wouldn't have the slightest chance of winning".

"... Fair enough".

the Hero kills the Demon King again and waits beside him to see if anything happens, and he felt it again, the sound of a heartbeat skips and he blacks out again just to wake up butt naked on the summoning circle once more, and again the noble girl does the same speech, it has cringed the Hero and made him constantly grunt so loud, it disrupted the speech and made the girl worry.

"Is-is something wrong, sir Hero"?

"No, it's nothing, can I get some clothes at least, so I can go beat up the Demon King"?

He takes the quest, again, he goes for some training, again, this time he decided to go easy and went to solo all the quests on the quest board at the tavern, now he has gone for some goblin hunts alone in the wild forest.

"It seems the Demon King Baragus has nothing to do with anything involving turning back time, he said it himself, and he proved it, but it looked like this time paradox thing was coming from him, killing Baragus seems to trigger some sort of time loop, this isn't how I thought it was supposed to go, when a Hero kills the Demon King, the Conclusion should be a celebration and rest, relaxation, or annihilation... but a time loop? nah, that isn't something that has to occur, finish up a story, any ending you want to see, then relax or move on to the next journey, I'd be trippin if I keep hearing that 'Defeat the Demon King' speech over and over again".

The hero enters the goblin's nest, they all just stare at him at first, until he says his greetings, they tried to attack him with all they can, but it seems the Hero has high experience in battle, which makes the goblins look like a joke to him, so they all died in just mere moments.

"Maybe I should try a different approach, how about I seek other endings than to kill the Demon King, I'd be trippin if I keep screwing it up".

And thus, the Hero goes out on a journey to try to make a different ending, until he realizes that he keeps killing the Demon King and goes back in time over and over again, he is super cringed by what he does and how he ends up triggering a time loop.

"This ain't working, I tried reasoning, bribery, defeat without killing, I even tried capturing him alive and he ended up sacrificing himself, bro, what are you doing? does being imprisoned embarrass you that much, or do you not care for your kind? I even tried conforming if he was lying or not, and yet he has absolutely no connection with the time loop".

The hero pops up again on the summoning circle butt naked, he made a dull face as if he was super cringed, and he keeps hearing the girl making her speech.

"I give up".

His words confused and Terrified her, he stood up and tried to walk away.

"But Sir Hero, the lives of citizens depend on it, if you don't defeat the Demon King-".

"Yeah, sure, you don't need to worry about the Demon King, he'll die soon"

"Sir Hero, is there something bothering you? You're walking with no clothes on".

"You know what? How about I flash the Demon King with my Acorn, maybe he'll stab himself to death"

"That's a really funny joke... you're joking, right"?

Days pass by, he suddenly decides to look at the shack from before as if he's worried about it.

"Day by day, try after try, the restaurant that used to be here seizes to exist once more," he thought, "This damned loop".
