Libra Kingdom Arc - Chapter 13: Dark Orc General Garek
The vicious orc released a violent roar that afflicted several adventurers with fear. I regained my spirit immediately after also experiencing the side effects of that roar. But god, this thing is big. 40 feet tall with bulging muscles that looked as if it'll crush you just by looking at it.
"Humankind! The rise of the Dark Lord is nigh, prepare to perish! I may meet my ends now, but I will do it with a proper fight!"
The giant orc loudly announced to the entirety of the corpse littered battlefield. Adventurers who heard this looked somewhat horrified of the news while the enemy troops cheered like they already won.
But then again, I have to break this situation. Bring back morale!
"Your Dark Lord may rise but he'll be defeated when the kingdoms summons the heroes!"
"!"
The fear on people's expressions were immediately replaced with grins filled with confidence.
"Yeah, that's right!"
"Your Dark Lord keeps being defeated since the last generations, we'll just win again!"
"Fight!"
The extinguished flames of the adventurers were lit up as fast as it came out. The look of anger and the bulging veins on the giant Orc's meaty head were showing themselves in agitation. Oops, I managed to piss it off.
"Hey there, Seven-chan!"
Amidst this battle came Arlet who casually greeted me in a black cloak. She fell from the sky but landed almost like a falling feather right beside me.
"Arlet?! What are you doing here?"
"Aww, can't I join the fight?"
"It's fine but, how can a scout like you help?"
I shouldn't have asked.
The clawlike weapons on the back of her palms glinted menacingly under the moonlight. The innocent yet menacing smile on her face made it worse too.
"S-Sure."
"Great! That guy we're fighting is called the 'Dark General Garek'. His main weapon are those two elongated swords and a mouth on his stomach."
I looked carefully at the Dark General currently fighting the Guild Master and saw that there showed signs of a teeth-like zipper on his stomach. A smile was forming on the orc's oily lips.
"H-Hey, Arlet. Is the Guild Master aware of what you just said?!"
"Rest assured, the Guild Master knows more about everything than I do."
While I was watching the battle between the two, the Orc mightily lunged at the Guild Master like a toad with his stomach out front. The mouth on his stomach widened to devour the Guild Master.
"Owh no!"
But my worries were for nothing. The orc was pushed back after an outburst of cold breeze swept it off the ground through the impact. The breeze came from the stretched out arm of the Guild Master.
Garek painfully landed on his back with the mouth on his stomach completely frozen agape. Hang on, why am I just watching and doing nothing?!
"That 'Owh No!' sounded more funny than worrying, Seven-chan..."
I called out Bane Of True Evil and stabbed it to the ground after activating the 3rd Stage Of Magic Usage. The mana particles that I exuded from my magic core into outside the body disappeared after it was consumed by my spell and manifested into two swords that looked like it's made of white light. But in truth, it's only unconverted or raw magic power hidden with the light effect. I made this spell myself by studying enough magic formulas.
As a magic sword wielder or spellsword, I thought it would be cool to have magic swords fight alongside me while using body enhancement magic for close combat so I chose to make this spell rather than learn any of the elemental magic.
"Woah, what kind of magic is that?"
Arlet asked me excitedly, but I have no time for that. The Guild Master was still fighting. The Dark General was slashing his sword at air hoping for a hit to land but he's been failing to do it since earlier due to the nimbleness of our great leader.
"You pertinacious pest! Go die!- ku!"
"!"
For some reason, the Guild Master looked appalled after witnessing the projectile of my spell and hurriedly looked for where it came from.
While the orc was bellowing while attacking, I hit it's eye with one of my swords from a certain distance and it wailed in agony. I hurriedly rushed over and conjured another sword tailing me from behind.
"Wait for me!"
Arlet caught up while having her claws out. She was looking at me intently at first, then to the Dark Orc General which she scanned from head to toe.
"Seven-chan, can you cut one of his legs? The best way to deal with big monsters is eliminate their means of escape."
"I'm not sure. But I'll try."
"If you manage to do it, you can order me to do anything you want!"
"I'll cut the mountains if I have to then!"
We split apart.
Arlet leaped and landed on the Orc's nape which the enemy didn't notice due to the thickness of it's flesh. Afterwards, she was being careful not to get noticed.
The Guild Master was firing ice related magic at the orc tirelessly to distract it. Does he have infinite mana?!
I on the other hand was having difficulties just by trying to hit the rampaging orc's achilles' heel as it was moving too much. You could say the battle formation right now is the Guild Master as tank, I'm the Attacker and I don't even know what Arlet is doing.
I took a peek at what Arlet was doing.
"Yay~ piggy back ride~"
"Arlet! Go do your job already!"
I shouted at her while avoiding being stepped on by the enemy's large foot after it heard me. He only missed because he wasn't even looking. The Guild Master was focusing his attacks on the Dark General's eyes who was forced to close his eyelids.
"Don't worry I'm already done!"
She shouted to me from the nape of Garek. I just noticed that Garek was starting to fall over as if he tripped.
"Eh?" I muttered stupidly.
Because of Garek's size, his fall took long enough for the guild master to step out of the way.
The Dark Orc General Garek fell face flat on the ground with a loud thud which made a gust of wind at impact.
"Whoo, that must've hurt."
I was shocked to see that Arlet was already beside me once again watching the unmoving body of Garek. There was blood evidently dripping from her claws.
"What did you do?" I asked Arlet.
"I temporarily took away his ability to move his body. It will last for 10 seconds."
"Only 10 seconds?!"
"Yeah. Why aren't you cutting off his neck yet?"
"Are you out of your mind!?"
I promptly enhanced my body with magic and rushed to Garek's nape hoping to make it just in time before the paralysis wears out.
"-Oof!"
The moment I got close, Garek's hand moved and swiftly smacked me off to a collection of trees and shrubs outside the battlefield.
"You brat!" Garek yelled.
Luckily, my impact was softened by these fruits and plants. But I'm more thankful they're not the thorny kind or else I might have probably died.
I can hear from here that the fight with Garek resumed and the battle between the adventurers is still ongoing.
"Ah..."
My body hurts, I feel like it's all tattered and my ribs got broken. I can't get up!
I tried to wipe my forehead because I felt liquid strickling on it and not to my surprise, it was blood.
"...No way."
If I don't heal this quickly, I might get brain damage or something.
I impulsively used my Storage Ring and brought out a notebook and quill that I bought from the city.
Do I really have to use it again?
I've always held back on using the power I received from the status board. I didn't like doing things the easy way and these past few days I've experimented on it to know atleast a portion of it's potential. And I have no way to heal myself right now!
I opened the notebook and began writing. The sword I conjured beforehand served as my light to see the writings, it was hard to see with my night vision alone that's provided by my game equipment so this is much better.
I finished writing, ripped the paper off the notebook and raised it as high as I can.
"『Rewrite Destiny』!"
I chanted, which caused the paper I was holding to burn in warm blue flames until no ash was left. Just like the last time.
My body felt rejuvenated all of a sudden and all the damage were expunged as if it never happened. My mana was also restored which was very helpful. Summoning a magic sword costed me 5% of my mana pool afterall and maintaining them was no joke either.
"With this, I still have two more uses..."
I heard rustling from the leaves and One came out of it looking frightful.
"Aww, were you worried about me?"
It licked my cheek so I rubbed it's head with gratitude. But back to the more important part. Since I have two more uses anyway, I can just use it again but I'll make sure not to make it too overpowered.
I began writing on the notebook once again while the others were still fighting.
When I finished, I did the same procedure again and the paper I held burned in blue flames like last time. What I wrote this time was;
The adventurers and all
the allies of Seven Clavery
had their vitality and energy
fully restored to be used
during the current battle.
Although I can't see the difference here, it's bound to have worked and will significantly help the adventurers fight now that their stamina was restored from this long term battle.
Before I activate it again, I sent One to be my eyes for the battlefield because I can't see it from here.
Now for the last wish.
I wrote again, what I'm going to try now is revive my teammates. I don't know if my skill can do it but it's going to be worth a try and a great discovery.
Just like that, I raised the paper I wrote on and chanted the skill's name.
Eh?
But instead of the usual blue flames, what I saw were red flames instead.
I watched as those blood red flames slowly consumed the piece of paper to nothing and then heard shouting from the direction of where the other's are.
"H-Hey guys! Jimmy is alive!"
"No way, didn't he get stabbed from the heart earlier?!"
"It's true, Dan! He's alive!"
They were so loud it could even reach me from here. Nevertheless, I'm glad it worked-...
Eh?
I could hear my heart thumping loudly for some reason like it's coming directly to my brain. The status board showed up in front of me by itself too.

What in the world? Why did it suddenly go to the negative digits? But I had 1,000 Affection Points didn't I?!
I came to the conclusion that my skill cost suddenly doubled. I don't know for what reason but that seems to be what happened.

Ah, so that's why. Maybe the flames changed color because I didn't have enough points.
But theres a bigger problem than those red flames from earlier!

It was Aria.
She looked worried and carried with her a flask of healing potion. Although I won't need that healing potion anymore.
"A-Aria! You're just in time!"
Because I need HER more right now!
"S-Seven, are you okay- eh?"
I grabbed her by the hand and pulled her over to me to deliver a kiss. She went bright red but didn't fight back.
「Seven Clavery has earned 1,000 Affection Points.」
I'm so lucky right now. Thank the heavens I can gain points from her because it's already past 12:00am. My methods of gaining points are repeatedly reset each day every night at exactly midnight, that's something I discovered when I was kissed by Leyla before she left.
I parted my lips with her but I still had 750 points of debt. The lust alleviated considerably but it's still unbearable. Looking at her face in a trance just makes me want to desire her more.
"Fu..."
I began by taking off my clothes in front of Aria who covered her face with her hands. I don't know if this will fix the issue, but it better work. I can't fight if I'm this horny, but it's harder to fight my sexual desires right now since a girl is right in front of me.
I'm seeing her as the prey going to be eaten by the predator which is me. And I'm a predator that is very hungry for meat right now.
