1 Chapter 1: The End

"Jay!, Watch Out!!"

huh?

Black out.

What happened to me?

I don't know what happened, all I can remember was being blindsided out of nowhere.

I cant see anything around me.

Are my eyes shut?

Why cant i feel anything?

Wait, I cant be dead right?

Not that I'm complaining, but isn't this a little too sudden?

I found myself nowhere, I couldn't feel anything. There was no pain or pleasure.

I tried to open my eyes, but i don't feel any eyes on me.

In fact i don't feel anything that could be called a body at all.

This doesn't feel bad, which felt very surreal to me.

you would think that being stuck in an infinite span of darkness with an intact mind would drive anyone mad, but weirdly enough, my mind felt a sense of calm.

Not just that, but all things from my past, felt as they were laid out before me. Although i cant see per-say, I was able to imagine things as vividly as if i was experiencing it first hand.

to be honest i didn't feel bored, I have 35 years of life to remember.

The day i was born, the day i learned to ride a bike, my first crush, my first kiss.

Unfortunately, I also found it easy to remember my regrets.

I had too many to count. I felt my choices at times were senseless. I wasted so much of my time making dumb choices.

The first time i stole, the first time, i lied, the first time I lost a good friend because of my stubbornness.

I used to pride myself, on my lack of pride itself, but i found so many times, where i fell short.

How much time has passed since I've been here?

I felt like its been forever, removing the times I've slept, I remembered everything I have done to this very day. I chose to disregard my times at my job. I was a video editor. I was going to be a music major. I was very talented in singing. I joined an all state choir and gained recognition from various universities.

My life as a music major ended abruptly all because i was too lazy to pull through with the curriculum.

That was the biggest regret of my life.

My life was the pure definition of all play and no work.

I really lived a wasted life.

"Well, I guess I have remembered all there is to remember. In a way, It feels weird reliving my life, but it wasn't so bad."

"Its too bad i cant replay all the games I've played in the past. At least time would've passed much more enjoyably"

Honestly, I have no idea how time passed here.

I even re experienced reading all my favorite stories.

I was a huge fan of Isekai novels. I remember praying to god, that if i were to die, God would let me live an Isekai life of my own with my own cheat power.

???: "I remember that prayer."

Yep, I do.

If my prayer was answered, I would've given myself not crazy cheat powers but stronger than anyone else in that world.

???: "So you say, but truth is you could probably do well even without a cheat."

Yep, thats definitely true.

Now that i think about it, I must be starting to go crazy since its come to me talking to myself.

???: "And why would you ignore my existence?"

.....

wait, what?

???: "I said, you could do with some self awareness."

Wait!! Who is this!?

???: "Try to expand yourself, you'll be surprised if you try to control your internal energy. I believe you earthlings call it chi."

My chi? You mean metaphysical energy shown in acupuncture studies?

???: "Exactly, You no longer have a physical body so try absorbing your energy in then out of your body into your surrounding area."

I never realized my brief stint in meditation would be used again here.

I meddled in meditation and chi development while learning tai-chi.

I did as God said, and imagined chi entering my existence.

This was weird as usually breathing was necessary to help circulate the chi around my body.

I found it was very easy without a body though. Instead of chi circulating a body that doesn't exist, I found it circulating a single point.

It was amazing cause I was able to see myself. There were many smaller points of light surrounding me, but 12 of them were much brighter than the rest.

???: "Good, Good, Now release the energy out into your surrounding"

This is weird taking instructions from a disembodied voice that named themselves God.

Not as if I had anything better to do, so let's do as he says.

as I spread my chi into the surroundings, The light points started to shine brighter and strings of energy spread out into the surroundings till my surrounding area came into actual view.

In the very center of now expanded dome of lights i created, I notice a focal point that i consider the very source of the energies.

This is awesome. Since there was no body to circulate the energy, I found myself being able to manipulate the light in any way that i wanted.

???: "You pick things up real quick"

Well thank you for the complement, Mr. Voice. Sooo.....

Do you know where I am?

???: "Your dead, so where do you think?"

Am I in hell?

???: "As pessimistic as you are, You would think that wouldn't you?"

Well sorry for being pessimistic, but considering that this place is still nothing but a bundle of darkness, how the hell am i supposed to take it?

???: "Well we don't have a lot of time so let's make this quick, Jay, this is a sub dimension that i created to see you to discuss about what to do with you."

Well, since I'm dead, don't i usually go to either heaven or hell?

???: "Normally yes, but as you died prematurely do to misplaced paperwork, you ended up being run over by a truck"

Was i run over?

???: "yep"

So what am I supposed to do now?

???: "Well, since this was my mistake to start with, I was thinking about granting your wish of being teleported. Are you interested?"
