1 A Bored Soul

"The sky is really blue today" thought Clay. Clay was enjoy a warm day of his spring break of his last year in high school. Clay was a above average student A's and B's for most of class he started high school do a handful of sports, wanting to try them and see which ones he like the most but most of the sports didn't fit Clay. By his senior year Clay Just worked out and lifted weights. Clay Stood a six three, with black hair and grey eyes. From the last four years of weight lifting and jogging clay had built a fit figure that most high school students would envy.

His 18th birthday was in a few months but Clay never looked forwards to his birthdays. You see Clay never really fit in at school, he didn't have any friends, he didn't mind because his friends where all online. Clay had a secret that he never told anyone in his IRL life. Clay was a huge otaku. He lived and breath anime, manga, and web novels. But he never told any of his family members because his father always made fun of things he didn't like or thought was weird. So Clay never told anyone being afraid that it would cause his family to pull away from him and treat him as a weirdo.

Clay would just flee to forums and manga and web novel sights to talk with people about his hobby. Clays favorite were transportation novels where the main character swept away to a fantasy world and become the hero, finds friends, and love. Clay use to wish with all his might that one day he would one day wake up in a fantasy world. He wanted to go on adventures and make friends, but over the years all his unanswered wishes made him realize that all these stories he lost himself in were just the stories that someone else thought of, places he would never be able to actual go to or at least that's what he thought.

Clay was still stair at the clear blue sky, "tsk, why can't it be this beautiful everyday" Clay stood up on shaky lags that had gone numb from laying down and stair at the sky for hours. Clay had been dreaming of his novels again. He was laying on the hill just outside of his small town of 3,000. Clay forced his shaky legs to take on step at a time down the steep hill. The hill was made of dirt and grass but there was a few loose areas spread through out the hill. One of those spots Clay happened to step on to. He lost his footing and began to roll down the hill tumbling all the way down. He tucked in covered his head to lost take and head trauma from the tumble but he still knocked him self out when he collided a large rock at the bottom of the hill. Everything went blank for Clay.

When Clay woke up a few hours later he was greeted with new sights. "woah, what the hell happened".

"Where am I?"

As far as Clay could see was fields, no hill, no trees, and no town. He did see a dirt road near by.

"Where the hell did the town go." Clay was rubbing the back of his head and groaning from the headache he had from falling.

"Guess ill just follow the road until I find someone and I can ask Where I'm at".

Clay mad his way to the road and looked both ways.

"which way should is go."

Clay looked up to see where the sun was at but is was at the middle of the sky so he couldn't figure out the directions the road was going.

"Guess ill go left"

Clay took off down the dirt road and a steady walk not know what he was walking towards just hoping he finds someone friendly.

After a few hours Clay began to see a tree line coming into view.

"Looks like I'm getting somewhere, lets hope I find something soon"

Clay was beginning to feel hunger from walking the last few hour. The dirt road had made Clays legs tired, he wasn't use to walking on rough roads like this one.

As he got close he thought he could see people camped just outside the tree lines in the field. From where he was at he thought he could see tents strung up but they didn't look modern at all.

Clay was startled by a loud rumble that sounded like a large horn. Clay could hear shout and soon after the clopping off horse hooves heading towards him. Clays could see the shouting men approaching him.

"Well they don't look to friendly"

The men surrounded Clay circling him on their horses. The were shout words that sounded like English but just different enough that Clay couldn't understand them. One of the men jumped of his horse and pulled out his short sword and pointed it at Clay. The blades was glinting in the sun light that was starting to fade for the evening. The man was a few inches shorter than Clay around six feet tall. He was wearing worn out leather armor that had metal studs in the shoulders padding, and metal boots that looked heavy to Clay. He was Bald with a large Scar that ran from the middle of his bald head that curved around his left eye and came down to his neck. The man had of a grizzled warrior that had seen many battles.

"Hello, can you guys tell me where we are at." Clay had already came to the conclusion of where he was at but he wasn't a hundred percent sure yet. The man paused and looked at Clay confuse at what he had just said. He turned towards the men surrounding clay while keeping the sword pointed at him, and said a few word in his language that clay still couldn't understand. All of the men started laughing and eyeing Clay like he was a juicy steak.

"Shit, that doesn't sound very good".

The man turned back towards Clay and took a few steps and brought the pommel of the sword down onto Clays head knocking him out a second time this day

When Clay woke up he was locked in a large cage next to many other locked cages each one holding another captive. Clay looked at the captives in each one. they ranged from other human to small green cretures that clay assumed were goblins, to large wolves and lastly a much much larger version of the goblins that was also much much fatter than them. It happened to be picking it teeth staring right at Clay. Clay notice that the cages were lined up in rows. Next to the cages was a large wood fence that had seating in the areas that had more support. Currently there was people in them cheering and staring down into the fence. It was to tall for Clay to see what they were cheering for. the torches set every so far apart gave the cages and rest of the camp a eerie feeling.

"Fuck", Clay slammed his head back into his cage in frustration, "this definitely isn't Kansas no more".
