6 The Journey to Camp Begins

Once again, after being knocked out for the fourth time in the time span of a couple days Isak wakes, he stands up and he cannot see anyone whether they be wolves, humans or monsters. He is alone in the Wolf House, he leaves through the front door and sees Lupa standing on all four legs.

"It is time you go to camp, it will be a hard journey but you will make it," Lupa says with a stern tone in her voice "you must find it by yourself but you may want to check the nearby warehouse for more information, Roma Enim."

Isak is taken to the nearest town's outskirts by a wolf and just left there, was he not worthy of a single clue, he knew other Demigods must have been given clues and he must have either done something to offend them or something else. Whatever he did does not matter now, all he wants to do is find this camp without the help of wolves who can't even give him a single clue. Yes, he was angry at wolves.

He started to walk into the town, all he knew was that maybe, if he was lucky, he would find someone who knew how to get there. Unfortunately, he found nothing except trouble, a huge snake in a warehouse. A little thing about Isak is while he can be semi-brave when fighting beasts that could kill him with one attack, Isak was horrified of snakes, almost paralysed scared. Although Isak wouldn't admit it, he was the second most scared in his life.

If it wasn't clear Isak's fears included snakes and seeing people die, he froze in place, Isak's gulp of pure fear was the only sound that filled the warehouse then the snake charged, Isak jumped to the left and began to run, actually it was more like sprinting as fast as he could out of the city, people he ran past looked at him like he was a crazy person but he refused to fight or even be in the same room as a snake.

He stopped when he was in the sort of centre of the town, he looked back and saw the snake still chasing after him, Isak was having a mini panic attack, he didn't know what the average person was seeing but he knew it was probably, at least, ten times better. Maybe it was an out of control bus or a bull or something, Isak wished he saw what they saw but that was impossible, he knew he had to face at least a bit of his fears as he got ready to fight, lifting his trident up with his shaking arms, his clothes already a bit destroyed. Isak was ready to die.

The snake was slithering down the street, knocking over letter boxes and pushing away cars, people were screaming and Isak's head was screaming at him to not fight just run. He didn't listen to his brain, tears of fear almost falling but he knew he had to fight, at least something was telling him to fight this. He hated what was telling him to fight this but he still listened.

His stance was him pointing the trident at the snake, his knees bent, when the snake was close enough that he could hear the hissing of the snake Isak attacked, he struck the snake and it just moved to a new attack position, dread fell over Isak.

The snake leaped out at him trying to grip him with it's fangs, Isak leaped to the left, sweat drop lets fell from his face, he attacked again, Isak leaped into the air trying to slam his trident against the snake's head so it would be slammed shut, it failed and Isak landed next to it, lightning coursed through Isak's arm as he tried to punched the snake, Isak knew it would cost him a lot of energy but hoped it would servely damage the snake, it did nothing.

Isak's body was about to fall down, in his fear he also used too much energy partially hoping to kill it instantly but now he was left with small amount of energy and an almost unharmed snake. Isak ran again, fearing for his life, he wondered why he was allowed to go searching for camp he was not ready, he would die before he got there and he wouldn't be able to prove himself towards his Mother.

"I wonder why Neptune told me to make him leave unprepared," Lupa says as she looks over the forest from a hill near to the Wolf House "I guess we will never know."

Isak dived to the right as the snake had caught up to him, the snake smashed into a nearby building making bits of ruble fall down, it cut Isak's arm but he kept on moving. The snake pulled it's head out of the destruction, it shaked off the bits of rock and metal on it's head and scanned the area for Isak.

It found him.

Isak kept on sprinting, his body was drenched in sweat, he had a cut on his head, a huge gash on his arm, his body looked like he had put blood in water and jumped in, he kept on sprinting though. He didn't listen to the giant snake charging at him, the screams of the people around him, he only cared about making sure he was safe, after all he had lost his family already, he might as well keep the last survivor alive.

The snake almost caught up and that's when Isak spun round shoved his trident so far into the snake's eye it reach the bone behind it. Isak pulled onto his spear, pulling it out and ran for the hills, this time the snake didn't follow him and Isak didn't want to find out why.
