Giving Ziyan a look of surprise, Lili exclaimed in shock. "You don't know who Wang Mingyu is?"

"Am I supposed to know who he is?"

Recovering from the discovery, Lili quickly explained to Ziyan. "Mingyu is the the quite famous in the South District. Graduating top of his classes in primary and middle school, he excels in both sports and studies. Not to mention he has a top notch features, the right ration between soft and rough. A dream come true."

Nodding, Ziyan watched Lili swooning over the boy and mused: "Hmm, so he is the typical school prince."

"Exactly! Only, he didn't place first in the entrance exams this time." Lili sighed with regret. "That place was taken by some girl called Qing something. Your also called Qing right, Ziyan?"

Pursing her lips, Ziyan did not reply.

Seeing the strange look, Lili quickly came to a realisation and gasped. "Wait, you're the one who got first place?!"

"Ssshhh, don't make a fuss. I don't want everyone to know."

[Especially after your brilliant introduction of Wang Mingyu. Who knows who many of his fangirls will go crazy and come to bother me.]

"Wow Ziyan, I didn't realise you're so amazing too. But I have to warn you, Mingyu's fanclub can be quite crazy. Don't do anything to attract their attention. Even in middle school, whenever a girl got too close to him, she would get harassed badly by his fanclub."

Ziyan chuckled at Lili's extremely worried expression. "Thanks for the warning Lili. But if Wang Mingyu is this talented, why doesn't he go to a better school? Instead, he's here in a public school?"

"Oh that's because it's close to his house. Mingyu actually got an offer for Yingxi College, brother school to Anping Girls. But he said it takes too long to get there, meaning early morning wake-ups. He couldn't be bothered living the dorms either, due to their strict rules. He can be quite carefree and randome at times."

"Really? He choose to give up such an opportunity over such small reasons? Haha, he's amusing."

"I know right? But it's good for us, we get eye candy." Lili replied cheerfully.

Laughing at the absurdity of their classmate Mingyu, Ziyan and Lili continued to chat with each other as they made they way to their classroom.

Upon reaching their class, everyone entered and grouped at the front of the room awaiting their teacher's instructions.

Once the students had settled themselves, Mr Lin took out two plastic bowls, one green and one blue from inside his desk.

"Welcome to your classroom everyone. For the next year, this will be where the majority of your classes and homeroom will be conducted in. Now everyone take a slip of paper and go to your corresponding seat. The numbers are all on the board. Girls take from the blue bowl and boys from the green."

Quickly, everyone sorted themselves out and arrived at their assigned seats. Lili and Ziyan were lucky enough to be seated near each other. Lili was positioned in front of Ziyan.

Clapping his hands, Mr Lin asked for everyone to give a brief introduction of themselves. He asked them to say their name, middle school and interests.

There were many different remarks, interests and comments which allowed the students to relax and become more comfortable with each other. About an hour later, all introductions had been given, paperwork completed and basic school induction, Mr Lin dismissed the class.

"Okay kids, now that we're done with everything you can have the rest of the day off. Go home early and prepare to officially start school tomorrow. Today will be the last day of relaxation, because when tomorrow comes, us teachers will start to crunch down and make sure to give you lots of work to do." Mr Lin said with a tinge of glee.

Cheering then groaning, the kids started to pack their bags and prepare to leave. Everyone naturally to group into their friendship groups to eat lunch.

Turning around, Lili said: "Ziyan, do you want to go eat lunch together? Who knows when we'll get another early day like this?"

Picking up her bag Ziyan smiled. "Sure. Where do you want to go?"

"Let's see, there's this new noodle place that opened up near the station. I hear that they noodles and their house bubble tea is really good."

"That sounds good, let's go there."

Agreeing on a location, Ziyan and Lili swiftly made their way over.
