7 What Is A System?

"You can leave now." Chan woo said to Soo mi. Her eyes widened as she looked outside only to see darkness surrounding the area.

She looked back at him with horror but he didn't even bother anything else and raised his eye brow.

"Can't you take me to my home."

"No! Now get out."

His voice again harsh clearly indicating, her to get out of the car and she did. She didn't want to and her body was yelling at her to not get out of the car yet she still did.

"Okay then thank you for saving me. I will be leaving now."

Looking at Chan woo all along hoping that he might stop her but no she was already out of the car and all the cars slowly drove away, leaving Soo mi behind there.

She looked here and there and found no one there.

Her goosebumps arose up as she heard the sounds of many animals there. Darkness was all around there and not a single person could be seen there.

She finally started to walk when she was sure that no one was there who would be helping her. Her steps were heavy as she tried her best to not fall down.

She continued walking until she reached some streets and she went inside them not wanting to stay there any more minute.

Soo mi walked along the rough cobbled streets that caused her feet to ache. The houses were tight together and were looking really scary like a forest where sounds of animals could be heard making the person fear more.

The alleyway twisted and turned back on itself, firs going to the right and then to the left. From where Soo mi stood she could see nothing other than heaps of garbage and those dark houses but her eyes were searching for something else.

They were finding a way to get out of there and find a way back to her home. Now she badly wanted to see people to ask some one to help her but no one was seen where ever she looked.

The cold breeze touched her bare arms and she started to shiver badly. She rubbed her palms trying to warm them up a little bit. Tears started to fell out of her eyes as she thought about her life that got destroyed because of her best friend.

"Why did she do it? How can she be that cruel with me?" Soo mi said to herself while looking up at the dark sky at which only some stars were visible, giving a little light to the land.

The light slowly was decreasing as the only lamp in that alleyway was giving up and it would soon end up. Soo mi's foot was hurting badly now as she was tired of walking so she decided to sit down somewhere.

She went over and sat on the stairs of a house and let her head lean over to the side of the railing of the stairs.

Soo mi heard a faint voice coming out of nowhere and she opened her eyes abruptly. Looking here and there and after blinking her eyes for sometime, she again closed them when she found no one there.

*Ding*

She again heard the voice and this time she was damn sure that she heard something so she asked.

"Who..?? Who is there?"

No reply came yet she again asked. "I said, "Who is there?"

She was looking at her right side when she sighed and closed her eyes tightly in frustration thinking that it might be my subconsciousness but just the voice appeared again.

"Hello! I am your system. It's nice to meet you. I will be guiding you in this journey of yours."

She was startled and scared as she again opened her eyes but then the voice disappeared again. She was now sure how she was hearing that voice so she again closed her eyes and that voice appeared again.

"Let me introduce myself! My name is Zorax. I am your system that will be guiding you in your mission. Your mother, late empress, had appointed me to be here with you. You are the daughter of the late empress, it means you are our princess. When she died along with your father they were in the middle of killing a person who is a big threat to our country but they ended up getting killed so now as their only daughter it's your responsibility to level up and gain that much energy so that you will be able to fight with that person and kill."

Soo mi was dumbfounded after hearing all that and her eyes were as wide as saucers. She was thinking about what was happening with her and from where that voice was coming. Her breathing fastened as she thought about the princess thing.

"So you meant to say that I am a princess. hahahaha. That's so hilarious and where are you? Why, I can't see you?"

"Well if you will close your eyes and say my name in your mind, I will appear and you will be able to talk with me." Zorax said and Soo mi opened her eyes to check if what he said was really true and the same thing happened.

She tried to call him but nothing happened but when she closed her eyes and said in her mind "Zorax!" he appeared and said "Yes ma'am."

She was too shocked to see all that happening with her that she didn't even know how to react to anything.

She always thought of all this to only happen in movies but here it was really happening with her in real life. Her imagination was going wild thinking all this.

She was a princess, she thought and mockingly laughed at herself.

A thought hit her mind and she asked Zorax. "And why would I do that?"

No reply came and then she realized her mistake.

Her eyes were again closed as she asked Zorax. "And why would I do that?... "
