44 Date with Arisu

After cleaning up all the leftover snack package, dishes, and used glassed, I decide to head back to my room and open the letter inside.

When I open it and read the content, I was surprised since the one who wrote it is Yui who was overseas, it seems she want to visit me soon and play around with me, I was worried since there's a story where her parents die, it wasn't explained what happen to them in detail, it's just they are dead.

I hope nothing happens when she visit me, and I hope her visit doesn't clash with the time Arisu come and find me.

I decide to go to bed after putting the letter into the drawer of my table.

Next morning I woke up as usual and went to school as I usually did going to school was becoming more fun since there's some friends I can fool around with, it seems I was being reclusive it is fine to focus on my work and improving my self, but I need some time to focus on the little things in life, like relaxing and socializing beyond just making work connection.

I also spent time in the arcade to play games occasionally when I was bored playing my console.

I spent time on helping Nagasi doing his homework by tutoring him once in a while, he seems very stressed because of the amount of work and stuff he needs to learn since he can't keep up, it used to be easy but if this keeps up he will enter the E class.

That was fine since I can only help him as much as I can, the problem is he is now has too much pressure on his plate and it was not my place to meddle in his problem since he hasn't ask any help from me.

Tomorrow will be the date with Arisu arrived. I already bought the ticket for the aquarium and we already planned to meet up on the station near the place.

After washing and wearing a long grey pants and white t-shirt I decide to head out and take the train to our meeting spot early since it is better to wait for her.

Since I arrived 30 minutes early I decide to visit the konbini to buy a bottle of water and find a cool place to sit and sent her the massage that I was waiting her under the shade and sent my location to her so she can find me.

I didn't wait long until she replied she is on the way.

From afar I saw a car stopped and being the driver opened the door to let someone out.

I saw Arisu was wearing a white shirt and skirt that reach until under her knees and walked towards me.

Seeing this I stood up and walk towards her first.

"It is nice to meet you Arima, please escort me for today." she smiled and hook her arms and lean towards me.

"Of course, we can walk there, it is not far away, and we can talk on the way there." I replied to her.

"Of course I loved to." we then continue walking, I match her walking speed with mine.

"It is nice of you to adjust to me."

"Isn't it normal for me to do that for you Arisu."

She only nodded at me and she started to talk with me about her days, it seems she only stayed at home and a private teacher came to her house to teach her since it will be a huge problem if anything happen to her at school, that's why she can't wait for me and her to go to the same school after I graduate middle school.

"You don't need to be excited Arisu, and also how is your body?" I asked her.

"I am not as fragile as you think I am quite healthy if not Dad won't allow me to go out."

"Good then, we now arrived, is there any place you want to visit first, I suggest we got to the dolphin show for last."

"Then I want to go to the tunnel aquarium, they say it will feels like we are under the sea."

"Sure let's go." I walked alongside her and went there.

It seems there's an escalator, so you don't need to walk to experience the view of the aquarium, the lighting you get is only form the one that shine through the water, both of us saw the fish swimming, there's a tiger shark, swimming through our head, a school of sea fish that was brightly colored, some fish also making themselve comfortable in the sea coral.

"It is quite beautiful, it's make me want to do snorkling on the sea."

"It must be nice to be able to do that." Arisu suddenly said.

"Well if you can get better we can do it together if you want." I cheered her up, it is quite rare to see her showing weakness since she always show her confident self around others.

"Sure I hope you can fulfill your promised then."

"No worries, on that note did you meet with Kiyotaka since the last time?"

"Why did you suddenly ask about him?"

"I am interested, he asked me what is normal?, now my answer is different from the past." I said to her.

"I am a little bit jealous since you still remember about that, if only a single meeting with him left a very deep impression on you."

"Since it is just once it left me a quite impression."

"On that note what is your answer to him now?, I am quite interested since it is not common to make you change your opinion."

"My answer for him is he can't be normal, more like anyone in our circle won't be normal since we are born from a family that is not normal." 

"I understand if I met him again I will tell him your words, but can you explain why do you say that to him." She seems to understand the point I was saying

"It is a sudden realization, I did not see the question from my own perspective when i answer his question, all three of us is similar, we have things we need to sacrifice from the moment we were born into our family." I said to her.

"Your perspective?"

"Yes, I answer him from a third party view where I didn't account my own circumstance, probably your dad, mine and his also notice it, they probably heard my answer is objective and accounting the general view of the world."

"Is it wrong for you to say that?" She asked me confused by my words and reason why I said that.

"No I wasn't wrong but it is naive to think that my answer is right for him."

"I understand it, you are quite odd you know Arima, when I met you, I felt a sense of detachment from you towards those around you, that's maybe why I was drawn to you."

"Hahahha, did you fall for me because of my mysterious aura or something like that?"

"Yes it was, but I fall for you even more after feeling the mature side of you."

I only smile at her and continue to guide her around, I accompany her to see many aquarium tank filled with different kind of fish, there's even a piranha feeding show.

"It is quite amazing isn't it Arima, a small fish like that swarming to a huge piece of meat, nibbling on it and making it disappear." Arisu said.

"It is, it show that even something small can be dangerous if you come in droves."

"It teaches us a lot of thing from this one show if you look into it from different pre-spective and view." she said.

After the show i was feeling quite hungry, seeing my reaction she took me to a spot where they sell food and place to eat, Arisu said she packed us lunch in her bag, I did not notice that she carrying something that heavy and said I will help her carry it.

She then handed me her bag and said we should check some of the drink option, she told me she prepared quite the huge portion so she told me to buy some light snack to just supplement it, I nodded at her find some place to sit first while I will handle and carry the food after putting down the bag on the table we pick.

After retuning back with the order I sat down across her.

"I made lunch for us, I ask my maid to teach me how to cook it."

"I am looking forwards to what you made."

after hearing my words she opened up the box and showed me the content inside.

it was filled with onigiri filled with chicken and beef, fried tempura, sandwich, and other small things, under it is a second box where it was filled with traditional Japanese sweets and snacks.
