13 The Great Escape/Generic evil plot

[3rd POV]

[Secret evil lair-#22]

"The specter has been destroyed.....You said he was...Unarmed. My identity is at risk if another God witnessed its death." A short and skinny man, wearing a long cloak which covered his face, accused in a raspy voice. "Your accusations mean little to me, Dolos, it isn't my fault that your Godly powers are so weak that an unarmed boy can dispatch your specters. Did you at least manage to injure him? If he is injured we can leave him out of the war game, and he won't be too blemished when I get him..." A man with bright blond hair with the luster of sunlight shining through it spoke, the green laurel wreath on his head shaking somewhat. "Now, now don't forget, Apollo, I get first go at him...It was in our agreement after all." A well-endowed woman with the brown skin associated with Amazon women cut into the conversation. "I haven't forgotten, Ishtar, I merely want him to be in one piece when I get him from you." Apollo joked with a refined giggle, that did little to hide the sickening tone he used. The Goddess of Lust joining in with her own demented cackles. Meanwhile, the ignored God of Lies and deception grumbled to himself.

[3rd POV]

[Ishitar Familia Brothel, Haruhime's room]

Bell was thrown into the room by Aisha since she had to return to her 'Post' quickly. This left the injured squire sprawled out on the carpeted floor in pain. "U-Ummm, are you okay?" a voice spoke up, causing Bell to quickly sit up straight and give off, or at least try to, give off a dignified appearance, "Y-Yeah, well, minus this..." Bell answered the girl while presenting his wounded hand, which was no longer bleeding. "Oh, dear! Please wait a moment!" Bell watched in fascination as the Blond-haired Renard girl rushed around the room, collecting things that could be used as bandages; her fox ears and tail bouncing alongside her movements.

Once she was satisfied with the amount of gathered supplies, she elegantly kneeled down in front of Bell as she used a bottle of liquor to clean the wound, before wrapping it with some strips of cloth she tore from the bedsheet. Bell wasn't paying attention to his wounds however, as he was captivated by her emerald green eyes, he almost saw an illusion that they contained their own little worlds. "T-There, that should keep it clean....C-Can I ask how you got hurt? It wasn't Aisha was it?" Haruhime stated as she tightened the wrap before worridly asking the young boy.

"N-No, Aisha wasn't the one who did this...She did save my life though! I don't even know why I was attacked, it was like they were trying to assassinate me." Bell assured her as he explained what had transpired. "Oh my! I do hope they were caught, I know how that feels, when I lived with my father in the East, our guards must have caught an assassin once a week or more." Bell gave a forced smile, they were 'Caught' in a way. He frowned after that though, as he found there was something missing in her words, "Wait, were you like royalty or something? Why would so many assassins come after you?"

Haruhime sighed and explained, "My family were caretakers of a shrine to the Goddess Amaterasu. There was a cult in my country that wanted to exile all the Gods, so they would kill Shrine goers and caretakers to try and force them out." Bell couldn't help but gasp at that, he couldn't imagine why anyone would want to kick out the Gods. After all, how would they level up without a Falna?

"Wait, then why are you here in a brothel?" Bell asked when his mind caught up once again. "W-Well, I U-Um, was hungry...Father had prepared an offering for Amaterasu-Sama, and I didn't realize it and ate it. Which is a crime, so he sold me to a merchant as a slave. The merchant was killed by B-Bandits and eventually, I ended up here and was sold to Ishtar-Sama." Though she said it with the same gentle smile she had since he came inside, the hitches at certain parts and the tone of her voice let Bell know that she was heavily traumatized by it. What kind of father sells their own family into slavery.

"Y-Your name is Haruhime, right? Aisha told me.." When she nodded Bell continued, "I'm Bell Cranel, a member of the Hestia Familia." He took a deep breath, "I want to ask you something Haruhime." She nodded once again. "Do you want to leave this place?" She seemed shocked by this and quickly said, "I-I can't! Ishtar-Sama owns me and would hunt me down, or even hurt you for helping me escape."

Bell grabbed one of her hands in his and spoke with resolution, "One of the members in my Familia, Al, told me when he began training me, A knight must always help those that cannot help themselves. When we saw a girl being abused, he rescued her and then marched straight into the Soma-Familia's headquarters and forced their God to release her. Now she's in our Familia.....I know he would support me if I helped you."

Haruhime still seemed to be wary of this, for Bell's sake. "The Ishtar-Familia has a level 5 and two level 4 adventurers....." Bell laughed at this and said, "And we have a level 7, come on, the only person outside is Aisha, we can get to the Loki Familia's mansion in only 20 minutes if we hurry." Haruhime's eyes seemed to flicker with light as she thought over just what they would be doing. On one hand, she was extremely worried about this kind boy, but on the other hand, she desperately wanted to leave this place.

While she was thinking, her thoughts went back to the stories Aisha would bring her. Knights in shining armor coming to rescue the princess from the tower....Maybe this was her Knight in shining armor. She gripped his hand with hers and said with a shaky voice, but still full of determination, "Umu! Please, save me!" To which Bell nodded and assured her, "Your wish is my command!" Before they both laughed, once that was done with, Bell went and checked the corridor and then led her down the stairs and out into the street.

Aisha noticed them instantly and sighed and told the two of them, "Once Ishitar-Sama returns, she will charm me to look for you, Hime-chan, so don't tell me where you are going, just go, and be safe." Haruhime couldn't help but lose some tears at this and after a short hug, the two escapees began their run to the Twighlight Manor.

[AN: Sorry for the short chapter today, the second half will be released later tomorrow. Also, THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! Not only are we the number 88 Fanfiction, but we've also hit 100k views! Thank you all for reading my crappy story and I hope you will all stay with me on this crazy journey. Also since the votes were tied, I went down the middle.

Instead of a faction based around the Hunters from Bloodborne and instead of it just being an Apollo lacky. We now have Dolos, based of the Greek God of lies/deception and such of the same name. I hope you all enjoyed the chap and I'll see you in the next one.]
