The chorus of battle became a deafening chorus of roars and war cries. The ground shook and steel clashed, many pieces advanced through the earth pushing the enemy.

"Front line, do not break formation! Rear guard, continue attacking! No retreat!"

At the signal, a large group with large shields absorbed the wave of advancing monsters. Humans, demi-humans, and Dwarves protected with their shields the elves and humans who were equipped with bows and staffs.

A sea of monsters was scurrying across the terrain. Their heads like horned goats, curling on top of their horns, they breathed heavily as they roared with bloodlust. They were called Fomoire.

Clubs of various shapes and sizes were held in their fleshy hands. Those who were close to the group of warriors raised their weapons above their heads to strike.

A single flag stood between the two units as it fluttered with the intense battle wind dancing over it.

Sewn into its cloth was an emblem bearing the mark of the joker, a great comical smile. The symbol of those who had joined the Familia of a particular Deity.

"Tione, Tione, the left flank!"

The younger boy's voice echoed across the battlefield giving orders to his unit. He was General Pallum giving the orders without a hint of fear.

The Amazoness heard the order and ran straight at the enemy, cutting down anyone who got in their way.

If any outsider were to see the current situation, they would say it is a nightmare.

No matter how many they killed, the monsters kept appearing, taking the place of those who were killed. The adventurers gave their all and eliminated them at the risk of falling in battle.

"Riveria, it's time!"

Finn Deimne shouted the order to the figure just behind the front line, which was being desperately protected. Like a melody, the beautiful figure raised her voice, spreading it across the battlefield.

"The flames will be released soon"

The silky jade-colored hair danced in the air along with the white wizard costume. The silver staff glowed faintly in the Elf's hands. The elegant and refined Elf raised her voice giving the call of calamity.

"Progressive war, inevitable destruction. The battle horn sounds aloud, the atrocity of conflict will engulf all"

The powerful melodic chant was an incantation. A ring of light emerged beneath the Elf's feet as thousands of particles rose from the ground.

"Come crimson flames, merciless hell"

Her concentration caused her beautiful eyebrows to dip, the concentration coming to its peak as her eyes were fixed just beyond the battlefront.

The people, noticing that the chanting was not yet over, gritted their teeth and mustered the strength to stop the second wave.

"GROOOOOOOOOAAAAH!"

The howl of the Fomoire as a whole was shuddering. Between them they were beating each other along the way to lower their cudgel in the face of the defense of metal shields.

The blow was much stronger than expected, destroying the barrier, not only knocking out the Dwarf, but also those around him. At the opening, the Fomoire stepped into the opportunity and ran towards the adventurers.

"Bete, close that gap!"

"What the hell is going on over there?!"

With the perimeter broken, the werewolf moved to trap the monsters that entered the covered space. The beasts had passed the front line, while the archers and mages paled before the Dwarves' fallen defense.

"Lefiya?!"

A young Elf was hurled skyward. Although she managed to avoid the club, she was pushed several meters by the shockwave.

"Uh!"

"Fuooo!"

As she rolled away recovering a shadow covered her completely. The Fomoire was abnormally tall and more powerful. The Elf made eye contact with the monster as the bar was lifted.

*Slash*

At the last instant, a large amount of blood spewed out of the Fomoire. The head fell to the ground with a deafening thud as the Elf stood there blinking at what had happened.

Standing with her sword, the savior turned her head as her blonde hair danced in the wind. A female knight moved silently with her silver sword.

"Ais!"

One of the Amazoness called out with joy at the sight of the dead monster. The girl named Ais made sure the Elf on her back was safe before entering the battlefield.

With the whistling of the wind, the tip of Ais' sword glowed. The distance between her and the monsters was reduced and those who managed to pass the barrier were eliminated with a few quick attacks, allowing all of them to finish them off.

"Hey Ais, wait up!"

She ignored the call and continued fighting ahead. Kicking the ground with an eruption of reddish sand, Ais leapt over the dwarves and attacked the enemy ranks.

One hit after another followed as the monsters lost their limbs to the girl's weapon that became a hurricane of blood.

The front ranks of monsters were disappearing at a great speed, with more monsters falling all the time. Everyone watched in awe and fear.

However, another group of monsters appeared much faster than Ais could react. She defended herself from the enemy, but one behind her was bringing his club down to strike her. Ais would take the blow with her sword.

"Logus!"

A word echoed as the giant was completely destroyed, Ais looked away while a girl gave her a raised eyebrow saying that she shouldn't do whatever she wanted in battle.

Orders were orders and for a reason they had to be followed, especially at this moment when the situation could become critical in the blink of an eye.

"You are the embodiment of fire consuming itself"

"Consume all and bring the battle to an end!"

Behind the barrier, a shout was heard by all, marking the climax of the spell. The spell itself had come to an end.

"Ais, come back!"

Ais looked over her shoulder hearing her name and changed direction. She launched herself into the air in the midst of the enraged enemies, moving acrobatically landing safely behind the barrier.

"Burn them, sword of Surtr - My name is Alf!"

The magic circle glowed brightly as it grew with a battle roar with the ring surrounding the entire battle group. The entire field was before the beautiful Elf's grasp.

Raising her white and silver staff, the Elven mage Riveria fired her spell for victory.

"Rhea Laevateinn! "

The wall of flames grew from the ground. Countless columns of flames erupted from the magic circle. Many of the members of the group protected their ears from the roar of the eruptions.

The remaining Fomoire were caught in the firestorm and ended up torn apart not to mention being consumed by the inferno.

Sparks flew along with the intense heat. One by one the adventurers lowered their weapons. Everyone's face ended up being illuminated by the remaining crimson flames.

The battle was over.

xxxxx

The 50th floor, a place that shows the place that takes us directly to hell. I have gone there before for having been a level 4 helper and offer what is necessary to eliminate the enemy.

The last time we were down there you could say we lost. We were beaten on the 58th floor forcing us to turn back. The Valgang Dragons are not as I imagined them the first time and they are powerful monsters.

I want to go lower, but I can't do it. I only have a short time as a level 5 adventurer and that is already a highly unrealistic achievement.

I went up 5 levels in a period of five and a half years. Although it should be made known that I always ended up beaten in the dungeon in every battle, however, climbing at that speed definitely put me in the spotlight.

When I went up levels I could feel the greedy looks of the Gods on me, however, Loki did a great job in avoiding problems with other Familias by marking me as their property... that sounds bad.

Anyway, I am now resting from the battle on the 49th floor. If it weren't for the mages and their wonderful destructive spells, we would have to eliminate the monsters one by one with our weapons.

Our Familia is large, but that does not mean that we are all strong in battle.

Quality over quantity. It's something I like to think about or rather my minimalist behavior I adapt to the adventure.

You can have a large group of Elves chanting their spells, however, not all of them will have a very large effect on the enemies, only a small percentage will be able to kill the monsters on these floors.

The same with the Dwarves that formed the barrier. Many of them are naturally strong and with the falna they are even stronger, however, they lost to a Fomoire far superior to their fellow monsters.

Quantity was defeated by quality. Monsters also fall into these words because there are times when irregulars are born and it takes even more effort to defeat them.

I sighed remembering how stupid Ais again disobeyed orders in order to go kill more monsters. I mean, it's a good thing that she eliminates monsters, but her action may break Finn's formation.

Nothing comes right when in battle Finn's orders are not effective. His strategies increase the winning percentage in our Familia, but it is not one hundred percent. We have to do our best to win.

After battles I like to rest away from the others or just stay in one place without thinking about many things. I can't always separate from the group because sometimes they give warnings or Finn gives us orders that I don't want to miss.

I only wanted strength to defend myself, but I ended up wanting strength to protect my Familia. Time changes people, just look at Bete. He is more bitter than ever now that he is close to level 6.

Ah, Lefiya screwed up again. Probably, she should be out there moping about being saved and again fantasizing about Ais as her savior, hell, she seems more like she's going to the same side compared to me.

I spent a lot of time with Lefiya, but I stopped coddling her a long time ago. My comments to her became harsher and from time to time I didn't support her in the dungeon because I was elsewhere. That led to the result earlier.

I have changed, too much I would say. In the past I didn't respect many and wanted to do everything I could just because I wanted to know more about the new world, but that's a thing of the past.

My character was forged and I am a First-Class adventurer.

[Rabbit Queen] is a joke by Loki and the Gods only because I looked like a rabbit, Ais was called a princess as a child and they copied that for me, the last thing because I was pretty.

A stupidity of the Gods.

[Astrid]

That was the Alias the Gods decided for me. According to Loki that Alias means unusual beauty and strength, those intelligent and sensitive ones who give their all to help others.

Aliases represent something of every mortal that was bestowed upon him/her. Many Familia Gods receive, receive pitiful aliases for their Familia members, but Loki is not of the bunch and she received an excellent name.

When I saw it the first time I considered it very simple, but for some reason when I learned its meaning I blushed quite a bit back then. Loki's teasing lingered for a while, however, the congratulations from the others were the best.

The Alias showed that an adventurer had become someone special in the city of Orario. Leveling up is not easy, if you are not able to accomplish a feat that will be engraved on the falna enjoy your level 1 life or just live long enough and move up with lots and lots of time as an adventurer.

I think Loki once forbade me to go to the dungeon to try to level up because the last few times I tried I ended up with my body destroyed, but the victory was mine, so I got what I wanted.

We recently shared dinner while Finn congratulated us for the hard work on the Sands of Moitra or the 49th floor. It was fortunate that Balor was not on that floor otherwise the battle would have been much more dangerous.

Somehow we always carry the necessary materials and ingredients for a good meal. Well, there are a large number of helpers on our expeditions, so I don't see how we couldn't do something like that.

We enjoyed a broth made from dungeon herbs and a fruit called mruits that tasted similar to meat along with a meat-like texture. Food of this type was more for monsters, but it was consumable anyway, so we didn't worry about it and it was perfect for the trip.

It is necessary to load what is needed, since it is a problem to move so many things. It was all part of Finn's plan who carefully defined the space available in each thing that was loaded.

I sighed again, looking around me.

I have been resting in the shade of this tree for some time now, I have not been able to calm down for some strange reason. I wouldn't consider myself someone persistent with a situation like others, but this is strange.

It has been too quiet

"GAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Shit.

Rising quickly to my feet at extraordinary speed, I went to the destination of the person responsible for the scream. That was a companion of my Familia and it definitely won't be a small problem.

xxxxx

The entrance to the 51st floor was being inspected by a group of adventurers who watched the corridor with curiosity. They did not have the strength to descend and could only watch.

What they didn't expect was that monsters would start pouring up attacking a member of the group. The individual who was attacked was Raul, a level 4 adventurer. A Second Class was instantly defeated.

"Over there!"

"Raul!"

The monsters fleeing from the lower floors were eliminated by the adventurers returning from a battle. Ais, Lefiya, Tiona and Tione arrived opening their eyes to the enemy.

"What is that?!"

"Caterpillars?! New species?"

Ais' eyes narrowed as the voices of Lefiya and Tiona sounded behind her. The monster, as they had suspected, was a caterpillar, a huge beast.

Its long body was a faded yellow-green color, with dots and patterns that symbolized the animals' natural venom. The Elf thought they were caterpillars, but the fin-like legs made it much different.

The creature raised its body consuming the rhinoceros-shaped monster. Behind it came more and more of them blocking the way with their huge bodies.

"Captain?!"

Tione noticed Finn along with the rest of the team watching the monsters.

Raul was supported by Lefiya who was checking the wounds caused by the corrosive acid of the caterpillar. The adventurers began to retreat, trying to get a safe distance before attacking.

Tiona was the first to jump at the enemy. Riku, who had just arrived, also went after Tiona as she unsheathed her sword looking to cut the enemy.

"You, stop!"

Finn's order did not arrive in time and the girls accelerated.

The caterpillars that felt the attack raised their bodies as one opened its mouth with a grimy sound. Muscles clenched and a stream of liquid spurted from its open jaws.

The black and purple liquid was thrown into the air. Riku and Tiona acrobatically dodged it. Tiona plunged Urga directly onto the beast's head and Riku ended up cutting off a part of the beast.

"Kree!"

"Huh?" "Oh?"

The beast's scream was so high-pitched that it could have shattered the glass. The adventurers strapped their ears at the same time as Tiona opened her eyes.

With the girls' attacks, the corrosive liquid that was spat out by the Caterpillars began to escape from the damaged areas. Tiona escaped in time noticing a strand of her melted hair. Riku landed on Tiona's side taking guard.

The corrosive liquid began to rain from the head of the caterpillar. Bete with a quick movement hit it and with the same body of the caterpillar the others were pushed back.

Tiona took a step back gritting her teeth as she saved herself from great harm, but something caught her attention. Tiona's Urga was being melted causing her to drop her Urga quickly.

"Ehhh! My Urga!"

The Amazoness looked at her companion who attacked next to her and noticed her looking at the ground where a trail of iron was melted in the black smoke. Riku looked at Tiona and she contemplated Riku's sadness.

Tiona was about to cry more for her beloved Urga until an overhang covered her and she had to dodge. Bete walked past her and snapped his teeth in annoyance. Riku exchanged glances with Lefiya and she nodded lifting Raul off the battlefield.

"Captain!" Tione stopped along with the group near Finn "What do we do?"

"It is impossible to attack them with weapons unless we wish them to dissolve. We must incinerate them with magic" Finn declared taking the lead "We need time for the spell"

""All right!"" The Amazoness instantly moved in a group.

Riku and Bete ran to the battlefield, while Gareth with his large shield protected Riveria so that she could perform the spell.

The members of the Loki Familia began to move around noticing the corrosive acid falling on the various tents they had set up in their camp.

The screams were not lacking, many of them fled the place, while the others tried to fight, but the damage with their weapons became useless because it dispersed more purple acid in the area.

Finn's order was clear and the mages and archers began to attack the enemy from a distance.

Tiona and Tione gathered enough monsters to follow each of them. Eventually, they found each other and joust their palms to jump out of site, causing the caterpillars to collide with each other.

The plan is to gather them together as much as possible to eliminate them all together and avoid unnecessary acid spills.

"Hey rabbit, over here!"

"Get them ready!" Bete hit a caterpillar bringing them to a specific spot. The monsters tried to get up, but another one fell on top of these as Riku raised her hand.

"Gospel! "

As expected, one of the caterpillars exploded causing chaos and spilling acid everywhere. The point where the caterpillars fell was a space with mountains of stone and the acid destroyed them causing the caterpillars to collapse.

"Magic works" Riku murmured in wonder "Do you have your magic swords?"

"They're in my luggage" Bete growled with annoyance "Yours?"

"Same thing. I didn't think they were necessary, it had been quite some time since we encountered a new species and more with acidic blood"

"Tsk. Damn with this" Bete looked around noticing that the caterpillars had somehow increased their numbers massively "Oi rabbit, do you think you can shoot more of those?"

"If you're going to carry me to my bed go ahead" Riku said sarcastically "Riveria is probably casting a spell, until that time we can't let them get even closer"

As if Riku was answered, magic began to condense on a spot in the camp where Finn stood with other adventurers who made a defense. Riku looked at Bete with a smirk.

The werewolf clicked his teeth "At least my equipment didn't melt like a certain accelerated brat with her attacks"

"Huh?!" Riku fell for Bete's taunt "Whoever kills the most of them wins stupid!"

"You'll pay for my drinks"

The two adventurers ran towards the enemy with a thirst for battle. One of the two, Bete, as usual, used accurate kicks with the aim of killing the enemies with shockwaves.

The main problem was the massive number of monsters, they were so many that the walls of the 50th floor were filling up with caterpillars crawling up the wall and shooting their acid. The archers could barely knock them down.

The front line was basically the Familia executives. Tiona, Tione, Bete and Riku. There were many more missing, but they were in other areas protecting and eliminating monsters.

Although the main magician had changed.

"Proud archers, shooters of the forest. Take up your bows before the advancing plunderers. Answer the call of your kinsmen and ready your arrows"

Behind the line of defense, Lefiya was reciting the incantation of the spell that would bring victory. She could hear them, she could see them. Her comrades were fighting in front of her.

Lefiya could not doubt. Her eyes burned with a sense of purity, yet there was a hint of fear in them. Still, she was focused on helping them all.

Everyone depended on her. Her teacher, Riveria, had entrusted her with this mission to demonstrate her strength.

They were in trouble and she was going to rescue them.

"Dye them with flame, lights of the forest. Release them, the fairies' arrows of fire"

The magic circle beneath Lefiya glowed with each word she recited. More and more rings formed intricate designs within the magic circle and Lefiya's beauty glowed from the golden light emanating from beneath her.

"Falling like rain, burn away the savages"

Lefiya raised her head calling out to her allies with magical energy coursing through her entire body.

"I'm ready!"

The area was illuminated at the same moment of the call. Those who were fighting the caterpillars and preventing their advance retreated to the safe zone. Behind Lefiya, Raul and Anakitty covered her.

Making sure everyone was safe. Lefiya raised her staff in the air and activated the magic.

"Fusillade Fallarica! "

Countless flaming bolts of lightning rained down on the enemy.

Every monster in the room was pierced by many of the fiery shots, setting everything on fire in their path. The guttural screams of the monsters were mitigated by the explosions of magic.

The arrows that missed their targets sank into the walls and valleys, destroying the enemy's escape routes.

Tens of thousands of arrows kept coming out of the magic circles, resulting in a sea of flames that consumed everything in its path. When the rain ended there were no caterpillars left where the flame was extinguished.

The enemies had been eliminated.

"See, I told you it would work!" Tiona exclaimed with joy "Kaboom! In one shot! You're amazing Lefiya!"

"I just concentrated my mind" Lefiya looked away.

"As if! You and Riveria with the other Elves are wonderful at magic! I can feel the heat, it burns my skin!"

"Gahaha! Just like you, Elf!" Gareth cheered up the atmosphere "She's amazing at what she does. Your confidence in her is to be expected" Riveria who was nearby nodded proudly.

Tiona continued to sing praises to Lefiya who was blushing from the encouragement of her companions. But after a few seconds Lefiya looked at a certain person.

Riku with part of her clothes destroyed by the acid, gave her a smile with several head movements communicating that she had done a great job. A big smile formed on Lefiya's face.

"Um"

"Huh?"

Ais approached Lefiya with her usual monotone expression, but her lips parted slightly.

"... Thank you, Lefiya"

"Ah, you're welcome!"

To Lefiya Ais was a source of inspiration as was Riku. Lefiya was caught off guard by that congratulations and joy kept pouring out of her.

In those moments, the adventurers enjoyed the taste of victory.

"How's the camp, Tione?"

"It was destroyed" Tione immediately replied "The number of the Caterpillars was too many to manage to defend a position. The remaining Caterpillars are being eliminated with our remaining weapons"

"Hm, thank you" Finn nodded "Riveria, don't you think the situation was resolved too quickly?"

"The situation is under control for now, is anything wrong?"

"The monsters came from the 51st floor or rather fled to the 50th floor, however, the caterpillars were not too much to cause a stampede of monsters to this floor"

"Oh" Riveria analyzed the situation and opened her eyes "How's your thumb?"

"It's shaking" Finn brought his thumb close to his face "It's not over yet this"

"¡!"

The thing announced its presence.

All eyes immediately turned in that direction. Every adventurer raised his/her weapon or stood on guard. The mood of victory disappeared in an instant with only one enemy.

The creature was visible from a great distance over the hills. Riveria and the mages watched silently as the adventurers communicated the current situation.

"...Did that also come up from below?"

"Destroying everything in its path, isn't it?"

"Don't be stupid, we should have listened to it"

The few comments heard were those who were not stunned by the huge creature that came up from the lower floors.

The lower body of the caterpillar was no different than those that were removed, however, from the front was a human-like torso with a head.

Four arms, two on each side, their shape resembling folding fans. It seemed to glide through the air as it moved. There were long tendrils as thick as snakes that were whipped back and forth.

Multiple stains of different colors covered the body. Some looked natural, but others appeared to be the remains of monsters that had been killed and consumed as food.

The most striking point was on the head where a human face was located, the curves showed that it was female. The rest of the skin appeared black and pulsating like lumps.

" Eliminating something like that... it would fill the area with the purple acid like a flood"

Raul stood open-mouthed after stating his hypothesis about the monster. Most of the adventurers were hurt by the acid and with the current monster there would be no doubt that it would result in casualties for the Loki Familia.

"A mini-boss"

"A what?"

"Oh, you know my dear Bete" Riku explained to her companion "After an arduous combat there is always calm and then comes chaos. In the dungeon it results in strong monsters, but that looks like a boss, even if it isn't"

"Mini-boss" Bete repeated the word "Are you stupid or something?"

"Aha, then tell me what that is?" Riku pointed to the jagged monster.

"A piece of garbage to kill. You just have to know where to stab"

"Heh"

The beast emerged from the forest, stopping at a good distance from the adventurers. However, its height was too great, which made it noticeable from quite far away.

It looked like an insectoid centaur or some kind of semi-human monster. The giant head stared at the Loki Familia from a distance. Then the female monster moved.

Opening her hands multiple-colored spores were released into the area. Feeling a chill, Finn opened his eyes and screamed.

"Everyone take cover!"

*BOOOOOMB!*

The explosion was felt in the area. Every branch, ash and monster corpse were instantly swept away by the explosion.

"All groups stand down!" Finn ordered "Return to camp and take the minimum. You must get out of here"

"Are you serious?!"

"Are we going to ignore it?!"

Bete and Tiona voiced their objections, but Finn ignored them. They, as First-Class adventurers, their pride will not allow them to run away from this battle.

" Are you two idiots?!" the two of them were hit over the head "You can barely kill caterpillars and you want to go for it?!"

Riku, as the voice of common sense, scolded the two fools looking for a fight when possible. Bete growled and Tiona was left with a confused look.

"Riku's right" Finn stated calmly "I dislike it more than you do, but we have to hurt her and kill her at the same time. Easier said than done... Ais, take her down"

"Captain, think again!" Lefiya exclaimed in shock upon hearing Finn's order.

*BOOM!*

The creature emerged from the giant cloud of smoke. Finn looked at his fellow Familia members.

"Stand down, I won't repeat it"

No one could reply this time. Finn's voice was calm, but the power behind it was undeniable. Nobody could go against the blond, young Pallum.

Lefiya was about to ask Finn for something, but a pique on her waist made her let out a squeak. She looked at the culprit and noticed Riku with a serious look on her face.

"You've done enough already. Finn doesn't give dumb orders and look at her" Riku pointed at Ais "She's standing confident. Ais is the only one who can kill the enemy with ease"

Lefiya looked at Ais, but she only nodded and Lefiya withdrew with the group.

"Ais, I'll give you a sign once we're gone. Give us as much time as you can"

"Understood"

Ais looked ahead with vigor, while Finn gave orders to the adventurers. The [Sword Princess] ran across the plains until she leapt at the enemy without hesitation.

Then she whispered.

"Wake up, Tempest"

*Shimm*

The female figure moved before the wind of Ais.

A crack appeared on the monster's face as a liquid stream shot out from its head at enormous pressure.

In terms of speed it did not compare with that of the other crawlers. Ais evaded it with a simple movement. She fell moving on the battlefield giving a sidelong glance at the place where the creature's liquid hit.

It was different and much more dangerous than the others, Ais took advantage of the fact that the monster was focused on her and dragged the monster away from her companions. Then the monster released more spores.

The ground shook as they exploded. Each impact was more powerful than the last, causing the sound to assault Ais' ear. For a moment, she lost her balance and gritted her teeth from the heat.

Ais jumped at the same time as the creature's arms attacked her, cutting through the air. A quick spin allowed Ais to dodge three of the arms, however, the last one connected. Ais managed to put her sword on the defensive but was sent flying to the ground.

If not for her wind magic Ais's bones would be broken. Without wasting any time, Ais jumped dodging a jet of liquid that was sent towards her. Ais slid on the charred earth and took a defensive stance with Desesperate.

The fight would be far from easy.

xxxxx

"Okay, how the fuck did we kill that without Ais being here?"

"Do you still ask that Miss Riku?" Lefiya who was helping the wounded near me asked "Miss Ais is strong but..." Lefiya bit her lip slightly "I'm worried about her situation"

"Lefiya, it's been quite a while since Ais has been fighting with that thing or well... a few minutes, but if you know what I mean, right?"

"I know, but...!" Lefiya looked at the clouds of smoke rising in the distance. The clouds themselves were disappearing with the force of the wind "It seems like it's been hours"

I gave a nod while sighing. Tense moments always make one not be able to tell how much time passes because everything happens so fast and so many things are done making us think that just a few minutes passed and it was only a few seconds.

At the moment it's not much different. Ais has been fighting against that thing for a while now while on our side we took care of the wounded and moved to safety in case we needed to retreat.

The expedition just suffered a major blow with this attack by the new species. These caterpillars were easy to kill, but their acid was extremely dangerous.

Raul is level 4. His parameters are not low, rather he is the one who fits perfectly with the common adventurer term, however, his arm took a lot of damage when he was hit by acid.

Tione, in a fit of rage, destroyed several caterpillars with hits, but much of her body was badly burned, to the point that we had to bathe her in potions to cure her.

Also my sword... my beloved sword melted like a sandcastle. It can't be...

"Um Miss Riku"

"What's wrong Lefiya?" I quickly recovered from my sadness over my sword.

"Couldn't you help Miss Ais with your defensive magic?" Lefiya asked stopping my thoughts "Miss Ais can fight thanks to her wind magic protecting her, however, wouldn't it be the same with you?"

I thought about Lefiya's question seeing the consequences and then shook my head "Impossible"

"Why?" Lefiya asked me less animatedly. Apparently she wanted me to help the blonde airhead.

"My magic is more focused on absolute defense. I can defend big magic attacks and also nullify them but keeping my magic active consumes a lot of mind" I explained carefully.

"Comparing my [Ataraxia] to Ais' [Tempest] I would say mine is more powerful, however, I can't resist the same amount of time as Ais if I want to have it active all the time"

"Um" Lefiya's ears drooped "I wanted to support more"

"Look" I pointed and Lefiya's eyes widened "She doesn't need help"

Indeed, the battle was increasingly nearing its end.

Thanks to my level my eyesight had increased considerably if I focused on something and with that I could inspect things at a great distance.

Ais cut off another of the female caterpillar's limbs, leaving it without movement as a tactic to take down Floor Bosses, cut off its leg and leave it there to take them down more easily.

The blonde did not stop there. She reversed her attack and used the wind to cut a large part of the monster's back, also taking some tendrils from its head with a clean cut. Ais with [Tempest] was the monsters' nightmare.

Ais lowered down using the wind to cut off one of the female creature's arms. The purple acid did not stop gushing, being squirted over much of the combat zone like small newborn geysers.

"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!"

The creature howled, drawing the attention of everyone in the safe zone. Ais landed near the monster who seemed to be in the center of hell. Ais was apparently preparing to finish the creature off.

Ais bent her knees as the rock she was standing on began to crack under the blonde's pressure. She took off with an extremely powerful wind around her.

Ais's magic was concentrated in one place, becoming something similar to a hurricane. Ais's lips murmured a few words to become an extremely powerful wind arrow.

The air currents swirled around Ais as she approached the target at a speed that even a Second-Class adventurer could not follow with his/her eyes. The caterpillar folded her remaining arms into a shield in an attempt to survive, to no avail.

The tip of the hurricane pierced and went through.

The caterpillar's body demonstrated a huge hole in the body, causing the rest of the body to throb with force. The female torso hit the ground in pieces, the remains of the body began to release, spores along with the corrosive acid.

The acid and spores mixed together creating a few flashes with several clouds of smoke until the expected happened.

*BOOOOOOOOOM!

Multiple explosions were seen raising quite a few mushroom clouds. It could be said that it was a multicolored explosion that was lucky to appear on this floor or it could be said that a large part of other floors would have been destroyed.

"Miss Ais!" Lefiya shouted. I could tell she placed strength in her feet to run to see if Ais was okay, but we weren't allowed to.

Finn ordered to create as much space as possible between us and the monster, so we could not get close. We watched the whole battle from afar hoping that Ais would manage to defeat the monster.

The forest caught fire in the blink of an eye. The pyres of fire exploded continuously reaching great heights.

"..."

Everything was silent. We watched the earth burning with the various flickers of the flame, consuming everything. Until it finally appeared.

The sea of flames opened. A female human figure in a given armor emerged with a sword in hand that glowed with every step.

Ais slowly walked away from the battlefield.

A great chorus of shouts of joy was heard.

The Loki Familia expedition was over.
