I remember back then when I slept as long as I wanted. Simply opening my eyes slightly, noticing that the curtain was open and letting the sunlight in, then closing it and going back to sleep.

That was a long time ago. When I used to be a little girl, bratty to some, I didn't have many duties to perform in the day other than living, going to the dungeon, making requests of my superiors, and working.

My free time in the past used to be when I wanted it because I was constantly busy with something and time was slipping through my fingers. Now it's completely different from what I remembered.

Responsibilities fell on my shoulders. One day I can be enjoying myself on a couch reading a random book and Loki or Finn ask me for help with certain things. It can be important or something simple.

However, when the thing is serious, the tone of voice influences that. I still remember when Finn speaks seriously on the battlefield. We can't even retort his orders, we just follow them.

The things you do when you are part of a high-status Familia.

Well, it's not like it bothers me. I joined back then and today I enjoy what I got. Speaking of which it's time to get dressed up and enjoy the event of the day, something like this only happens once a year.

The Monsterphilia.

An event held by the Ganesha Familia in which they demonstrate the taming skills of some adventurers by performing shows with various types of dungeon monsters.

The first time I witnessed it I liked it a lot. I didn't think I saw the monsters that had a desire to murder an adventurer being so docile, yet I could see them being punished if they didn't behave.

On the other hand, there was something that caught my attention and it was the name. Monster for monster and Philia... That last word if I remember correctly, referred to brotherly love, friendship, or affection.

At that time I had learned many things so suddenly by the words of various people, sayings, or some books.

Monster fetish was what got me thinking about whether Monsterphilia was meant to be a show or something else. After a while I simply considered it a method of showing monsters in another way and not as a fetish.

Now, my perverse thoughts aside, it's time to get ready.

What to wear? That's the most important question. Getting dressed up should be easy, but I'm not like other girls who enjoy trying everything on and seeing what looks best on.

Speaking of which, most of the women, who are adventurous, do not focus on being beautiful, but rather on just saving their looks and becoming stronger to defeat the dungeon.

Stupid women are the ones who focus on their beauty and not on what is in their best interest when they go into the dungeon.

Now... my underwear, black pants, and matching black high boots. I like black because it's a quick choice that is not based on anything, just like that and that's it.

A bra for my developed bust. I say it, when it grew it made it difficult for me to keep a balance with my center of gravity. Having them big is a sin, my respects to those women who have them too big, *cough*, Demeter.

A shirt, I used to wear a white shirt, but who would wear a white shirt if it would get constantly stained from battles or something else. That's why I go with a gray one, dust and dirt are less noticeable.

My white hair is already the sign that dirt is annoying to clean, however, for me, someone who takes baths for long periods of time, it is easy to remove dirt from my body and clothes, I am good at washing.

With everything ready I left my room and went straight to look for Bete. That jerk is probably collapsed on a couch in his sleep. Sacrificing a day with Loki gave us this day off, with no interruptions from her.

As usual, Bete was in one of the rooms where any member of the Familia could hang out and he occupied it to sleep if he wasn't doing anything else.

"Hey"

"Uh?" Bete twitched his ear and opened his eyes to snap his teeth when he noticed me "What do you want?"

"Let's go to Monsterphilia"

"I don't want to" Bete closed his eyes and settled his body on the couch "It's boring"

"We sacrifice a day with our flat Goddess, so you have to enjoy it" I thought a little "You hardly ever go out and there is likely to be some kind of special food or drink at some stall in town"

"Why me, there's Raul or the cat girl"

"Anakitty and Raul are probably out on their own or with some members of the Familia" I snorted "Come on, don't be a spoilsport. When we're done I'll buy you a drink, what do you say?"

"Tsk" Bete got up from the couch with the same sour face as always "If it turns out to be boring... you'll help me as a support to satisfy the time wasting"

"Hm, we always do that" I shrugged.

Once upon a time I was support most of the time I was level 1 and even then I almost died once on an expedition. It's boring to do the same thing so I vary in the things I do.

"Whatever" Bete stood up and stretched his body "I guess I'll put up with the noise of people"

"You know, I think we could fight against a monster...yeah" I nodded "For some reason when I think about it my fist shakes"

Bete snorts and starts walking with me towards the Orario coliseum. It's time to see what this year's Monsterphilia has in store.

xxxxx

As expected from the Cool God Ganesha, it does not disappoint, even walking through the streets of the city is wonderful to delight the eye.

Food stalls abounded, the bustle of people was more acceptable than usual because this time people were happy with the event in progress. Some buildings had a flag with the symbol of the Ganesha Familia, an elephant on a shield.

"You know" Bete spoke looking around "For some reason you were right that something else might happen"

"See?" I replied with a cheeky grin "My instinct doesn't fail me"

"And you rubbed off on me after a long time"

"Heh"

The truth is that I created that feeling because of my paranoia several years ago. When I believed that everyone could stab me in the back and I didn't have the ability to defend myself, the best example of that was when I was almost killed by a Cat Man.

I remembered that feeling and trained it in several ways, that way when something that could go wrong is about to happen my body reacts to it and prepares me to avoid the danger.

Bete, as a Werewolf, had special instincts, which noticed what I did and he ended up copying mine. It was lucky about Bete really... I'm not jealous that Bete overpowered it more easily... no.

"Hey, take it or I'll throw it away"

"O-Oh, thank you" I stammered when Bete offered me a Jagamarukun, he doesn't do things like this that often rather never "How long until the coliseum?"

"It's still a little while away. We're lucky it's not across town or it would be a bummer"

I nodded "In fact, on the other side of town is the Freya Familia headquarters, isn't it?"

"Tsk, yes" Bete affirmed with displeasure, this time it is something normal because our Familia and the Freya Familia are enemies "How annoying"

"Hm, now Jagamarukun tastes bad to me" I ate the rest of the potato chip and threw the paper in the trash "They have more level 6 than our Goddess"

"For now" Bete growled arrogantly "When the next expedition happens I'll take it upon myself to raise my level"

"That doesn't happen the way you want it to" I reminded him making Bete snort "The last expedition sucked. You can try to defeat a Floor Boss if you want to have a chance to level up"

"Aha, How do you think I'll defeat a Floor Boss from the deep floors?" Bete asked as if I was stupid "If there would be a Boss I'd start with Udaeus. I hate to admit it but killing him alone would be more suicide"

"You need the speed to overcome their attacks and the strength to break their bones" I reflected on my group fights against the Udaeus "Ais looks perfect with her [Ariel]"

"Tsk. Lucky magic, however, she is weak against other people" Bete spit, nevertheless he had a point.

Ais was known for her beauty as well as her strength, but many of the Familia understood Ais' power. She is strong against monsters, the nightmare for them, however, against other people it was different.

"Have you updated your status?"

"No" Bete replied finishing another Jagamarukun "I want to save excelia until it is necessary to increase my strength. I barely go up a few numbers, not like others who keep growing"

"Fuehehehe"

"Fuck you"

"Thank you"

"It wasn't flattery"

"I appreciate it"

"Shut up"

"Make me- Ugh!"

Bete put his arm around my neck and started squeezing to keep me quiet. Of course he wasn't doing it hard enough to choke me, but he was definitely making it difficult for me to talk and walk.

When we thought that the day would be another one, a noise made us stop, it was very slight, but just enough to put us on alert. Bete's ear also moved and that meant something.

"Did you hear it?"

"I didn't miss it" Bete let go of me and looked at where he saw the sound "That's..."

The answer was said quickly.

"Monsters!"

"Run!"

"Call the adventurers!"

So that's what was bothering me. No matter, there are times when the feeling appears and others when it is simply forgotten. The rampage flows like water and fucks up everything in its path.

Bete and I ran to the area near the Coliseum. The reason is that the monsters escaped from that place, someone must have freed them. From the dungeon is impossible because there are guards protecting the entrance.

We avoided each individual and instead decided to run across the rooftops. Using our speed could create small air currents that would push the civilians, so we had to restrain ourselves and move away from other people.

After a blink of an eye we had found the monsters.

Bete was much faster than me and kicked a Ligerfang in the head. The kick pinned it to the ground and killed it. For my part, I grabbed two Imp so I could use them as a fist shield. I hit the other Ligerfang with the Imp killing all three monsters.

"Is that all?" I asked looking to see if anyone was hurt and fortunately everyone was okay.

"There are more" Bete looked at the coliseum "There are more adventurers killing them"

"Ais was with Loki" I remarked "Tione, Tiona and Lefiya went together to the Colosseum. They must have already acted-what's that?"

Bete also looked at the ground at the slight tremor that was occurring at the exact moment. We both came to the understanding with a glance that the cause of this was not part of the group of monsters that the Ganesha Familia took out of the dungeon.

*Crack*

With the groundbreaking beneath me I took a great leap as I watched a creature rise. The cloud of dust that rose up prevented me from noticing the figure, but as it cleared two imposing snake-like monsters were there.

"Bete" I clenched my fists.

"I know" Bete remarked beside me in a fighting stance.

Those monsters were level 4 or that's my estimate. We may be level 5, but we are getting alerts.

They were two of the same monsters. They are a pale green color with a lump like head, this was looking at us, there were tendrils coming out from around it like roots that would hit anything it went through.

"One for everyone"

"Watch your kicks. The skin has resemblance to scales and the head is likely to have something hidden"

"Don't remind me"

*Scree!* *Scree!*

Bete jumped up and kicked the head before it did anything with the sounds it was releasing. The snake fell into a building destroying it, the roots were shaking violently and Bete was clutching his leg with a pained expression.

"Shit, what the hell is it made of?!"

"Physical attacks have little effectiveness!" exclaimed I "Duck! Gospel!"

*Szzzz*

*BAM!*

The snake that was on top of Bete was hit by my magic sending it falling on top of the other snake that was just getting back on its feet. Bete took some distance and stood next to me.

"That was it?"

"I doubt it. Your kick hurt you more than that and my magic had a similar reaction" look around me "People left"

"They will no longer be in the way"

"I think the same"

I paused as I noticed how the snakes stood up more calmly than the first time they were brought down and focused on a target.

"Are they looking at me?"

"Yes"

"...! They react to the ma-! Ugh!"

xxxxx

Riku had been sent flying by a root that grew below her, more precisely at her side. The speed of the attack surprised her by focusing only on the enemy, she was hit.

"Hey!"

Bete exclaimed looking at his companion, however, he didn't even have time to shout curses before he had to jump and dodge several attacks from multiple places.

In his high experience, Bete covered himself with his vambraces while he kicked at the tendrils destroying them. He was annoyed, so his kicks were not as delicate as the beginning.

Bete gritted his teeth. His armor covered him, but the impact still had an effect on his body. 'Level 4 or 5?' Bete thought about the monster's strength. It was slow, but tough.

"Damn worm!"

*Scree!* *Bam!*

This time the snake was pinned to the ground and the other was knocked to the ground with Riku falling next to Bete. Her shirt was torn across the torso, but Riku's body showed no injuries.

"I thought you were defeated" Bete scoffed "I was already picturing you crawling into Twilight Manor like a hero"

"Tsk. As if, I'd rather have Loki massage my breasts than be carried by you"

*Crack*

"Something's coming" with Bete's warning Riku braced himself as the monsters began to emit strange rustling sounds. Just as heard, the snakes' heads opened up like a flower, showing a resemblance to a carnivorous plant.

"Are those plants?!" Bete exclaimed.

"No, they're lemons. Just destroy them!" Riku spat in annoyance dodging several tendrils of the carnivorous flowers.

*BOOM!*

"This wants to eat me!"

"Hang in there!"

Bete had been caught in the mouth of one of the plants. The Werewolf could be seen avoiding being crushed by the plant's jaws, as if he was stretching his body, Bete was putting strength into his legs and arms.

It looked funny.

"Hey hold on!" Riku ran dodging the lashing tendrils "I'll use magic!"

"Hurry up and do it!"

"Good" Riku muttered as she moved her whole hand and calmed her mind from the chaos. It is more powerful magic when the user is calm or when emotions were out of control, but Riku preferred calm before chaos "Come to me"

Riku stood on guard silently chanting [Ataraxia] so that the monsters would focus on her. As quickly as the magic activated, the tendrils of the carnivorous plants moved.

With the defense active, Riku only needed to hit the tendrils that reached her or redirect them with one movement. Bete, who was in the mouth of one of the plants, escaped when he noticed that the pressure force decreased.

"Reality is an illusion" Riku began to chant while standing in the same position with Bete helping her "Develop and manifest"

A magic circle glowed under Riku causing her to smile and raise her hand to jump towards the plant's head. Bete, as he had participated before, took it upon himself to catch the tendrils.

"Spread and froze! Freeze! "

With the small chant, a light blue mist shot out of Riku's hand and froze the head of one of the carnivorous plants. With the successful attack, Riku used her other hand and struck directly at the monster's head.

"It's got to be broken!"

Bete shouted going for the last carnivorous plant. It was not that the plant was stronger than them, but that it was complicated to approach and the lack of information in the battle influenced their actions.

With only one monster alive and two First Class adventurers who were upset, the battle was over faster than I expected.

The carnivorous plant was completely destroyed. Its skin, which ends up as armor, was full of cracks, the head had its petals torn off and the trace of life had completely disappeared.

"That was..."

"Scandalous?" Riku asked kicking a tendril off the ground "I don't know if it was good or not that we went for a walk"

Riku rubbed her hand where she used her magic. A magic of hers that opened up a wide range of existing magics, but it was complicated to learn.

"It's been a while since I've seen you use that magic" Bete looked at Riku as she dusted off her clothes "Any special reason or did you just not see the monsters worthy of using your magic on them?"

"I forgot, tehe"

"..."

"..."

"Right" Bete sighed "Only you say such stupid things. We have to go and look for Loki"

"Twilight Manor. After the chaos she's more likely to have taken cover from the mess. We must tell Finn about the new species"

"Tsk. Caterpillar and plants. what the fuck is coming next, Talking creatures?"

No one responded to the Werewolf's complaints. The Guild that was coordinating the Coliseum arrived at the combat zone with adventurers from the Ganesha Familia.

The plants had disappeared into motes of dust after being destroyed and the other monsters were there because the magic stone had not yet been removed.

The Loki Familia only explained what was important, except for the plants, and left the place.

xxxxx

"That's it?"

"Yes. The carnivorous plants were resistant and reacted to the doe's magic. It was necessary to distract them and finish them off"

"Hm" Finn hummed with his hand on his chin "Tiona, Tione and Lefiya were surprised by these carnivorous plants. Ais was a little late, but she helped them finish them off"

"Level 4 or level 5?"

"It would be estimated to be a level 4" Finn explained "Lefiya was injured, but it wasn't enough to defeat her. You took a hit too, didn't you?" Riku nodded "You told me that just as you were hit you got up"

"Hm, the skin was tough" Bete grunted. If it were another occasion he would tease Riku, but he too was almost eaten, literally "I didn't have my daggers, however, I consider plants attack in numbers"

"We were taken by surprise after defeating some monsters" Riku mentioned grimacing "I thought Bete was in their sights, but an attack hit me in my side. They're weak against magic"

"Physically resilient, they react to magic and are weak to it" Finn reflected in his seat "It was good that you guys were on site. I thank you"

"Whatever" Bete got up and left. Finn still held a smile, he knew how Bete acted so it didn't bother him how the Werewolf left.

"Anything else you wish to comment on?"

"Hm, I think they might be related to the new spice" Riku said doubtfully "Call me crazy or conspiratorial, but two new species in such a short time is not common. They're also strong by standard, so something must be going on in the dungeon"

"As perceptive as ever" Finn chuckled affably "Who knows. Rest up and go to Riveria if you're feeling under the weather. We have to be cautious, Riku"

Riku nodded and retreated from Finn's office leaving the blond-haired Pallum to his own thoughts. The dungeon was changing, slowly, but it was. It was time to get back to hard work.

xxxxx

How to say, breakfast is always a good time to reflect on many things. More so because I do it when I enjoy the food and it clears my mind.

The sound of my fellow Familia members talking was commonplace. It's not as if I could say that they were silent to all the dozens of people present and I got used to the noise, in fact the atmosphere is pleasant.

I was enjoying a fish, a dodobass, one of the many species in the world. It wasn't the best, but it was delicious to me. I ate everything, it was essential for an adventurer to do so.

In the dungeon we couldn't be picky about food, you ate what was available if you didn't just enjoy the feeling of hunger. In fact, being an adventurer changes a lot of a person's habits.

"As always, the cooks don't disappoint" I muttered finishing my fish. I was a cook at the Hostess of Fertility, so I like to replicate the foods I eat from time to time.

"Hey, Riku!" Tiona caught my attention with her usual cheerfulness "Would you come with us to the dungeon? We need money for our weapons and we thought it would be great to have more people"

"Yes" I answer instantly because I also needed money. I haven't visited Tsubaki so I have yet to hear her claims for breaking her weapon "It would be entertaining"

"Yay! Ais and Lefiya are going too" Tiona pointed to the two girls behind her "I'm going to see if my sister wants too, Come on, let's go!"

I went after the anxious Amazon, staying behind the group with a Lefiya who was muttering a few things and clenching her fists resolutely.

"Lefiya"

"Hey! Miss Riku?" Lefiya blinked "Do you need anything?"

"I heard you also fought some plants in town, are you okay?"

"Y-Yes" Lefiya stammered "I was hit when I started singing. I thought I would pass out, however, I couldn't let the others fight and be protected again"

"A moment of overcoming. Good job, Lefiya" the Elf melted with my praise as she always did when she was complimented "Bete and I also had complications with two plants, I used ice magic"

"Oh, could you show me?"

"Hm" I hum with affirmation "If the time comes, then I'll show you the spell in the dungeon"

"Thank you"

I laughed and listened to Tiona convince her sister to accompany her because they were going to invite Finn. If he goes then Tione wouldn't miss it, that Amazon would do everything for Finn.

With Lefiya's request, I remembered when I received my magic. It was very cool, but the description amounted to hours of study and training.

Well, the thing about my magic is that it makes me untouchable when I want to be. I haven't mastered it completely, but I know how to use it in combat. For example: [Satanas Verion], if I use it constantly and with massive control, no one could touch me.

Together with [Ataraxia] I would become a walking, untouchable tank. Too bad there was no one with similar magic to find some basis for my fighting style.

There was a time when I used it when I was full of anger with some adventurers, a long time ago. It was one of the coolest moments I ever had, I taunted them, hit them, and didn't get hurt. The consequence was to sleep for several days.

Oh, we're already in Finn's office. Let's see how Tiona convinces the Captain.

xxxxx

Wonderful.

How could I put it simply?

Finn agreed, however, Riveria also agreed. Gareth was not there, so he did not go either and Tiona exclaimed that it was necessary to hide it from Bete because there will be no peace in the dungeon excursion.

She has a point.

After some time, years, of being behind Bete one knows how it is to live with him and act in a certain way. I didn't learn to insult from left to right just because... maybe I already had it, but I don't care.

We gathered at the Tower of Babel after getting our things. Some went for their weapons to the Goibniu Familia

, others collected potions and also the Elves visited the Witch's Secret House.

For my part I gathered the essentials and a little more to keep me on my toes. You never know what things can happen in the dungeon from one moment to the next.

Finn and Tione chose some quests to complete. A very good move because we will get rewards and increase our relationship with the Guild and our reputation as adventurers.

Eventually, everyone arrived and we went into the dungeon. How to say... it was boring, as it always was with weak enemies.

The path from the upper floors to the middle floors was full of monsters as usual, however, I didn't feel like fighting them. Tiona and Ais were the ones who went to the front to regain the use of their weapon.

I wanted something more.

The fight against the carnivorous plants left a bad taste in my mouth and I wanted to vent my annoyance on monsters. Weak monsters won't satiate me completely, so I want to get much lower in the dungeon.

"The Goliath isn't here. Someone must have taken care of him?" Finn asked after we entered the 17th floor.

"Probably, some Rivira adventurers will have taken care of him" Riveria mentioned "It's bad for them if there are no customers they can get through"

On the way, Tione and Finn jumped into battle to eliminate the aggressive minotaurs that appeared. This time I was on my guard to make sure no monsters escaped like the other time.

"It's time to rest!" Tiona stretched her arms as high as she could, being the first to receive the light shining from the 18th floor.

"No matter how many times I come here, this floor is always beautiful" Lefiya commented with a smile and Ais behind her nodded.

"Yes it is..."

"I guess it's already late... yes" Riveria affirmed shielding her eyes from the plants that let in the rays of light from the thousands and thousands of panes of glass that covered every spot on the 18th floor ceiling.

The 18th floor had something similar to day and night, so it would soon get dark. In other words, there was day, evening, and night. I've come to the 18th floor many times to hang out, so I'm used to this floor.

We walked for a while along the main road and some shortcuts, one of them was by a lake. We arrived at the 'Rivira Village', a place created by adventurers for adventurers.

"Um, I've always been curious, though, what does the number 'three hundred and forty-four' mean?"

"That number represents how many times Rivira has been rebuilt" Riveria explained "Monsters also go up and down to the 18th floor, so it's common for them to attack the city if they see it"

"Three hundred and thirty-three" Lefiya murmured in amazement at the number of times the city had been destroyed if the current one was number three hundred and thirty-four.

"Well, let's go in now. I want to go to bed, not stand around here all day" Tione urged as she followed us all in through the main entrance.

The city was built high on the east side of the island, near a cliff overlooking the lake. The adventurers used the natural crystal formations to make the city with a rough wall.

The tents, wooden huts and stores were all over the street like any other place. Despite the simplicity of the town, the glass gave it its special touch that made it look decent or good to look at.

"This one, will we trade our magic stones and drop things off for money and then...?" Lefiya asked to find out what we would do next.

"Where should we stay, should we camp as usual?"

"Hm, maybe we should stay at an inn this time?" Finn proposed after listening to Riveria "After all we didn't bring any camping tools"

"But Captain! Spending a week here is going to cost a considerable amount of money. This Rivira already knows..." Tione said doubtfully.

She is right. Prices in Rivira were insane for the sole reason that there was no other way to acquire things, so items were expensive and difficult to obtain. Also scams were common if one was very clueless.

"We can stay in my shelter or house as it is called" I mentioned getting looks from everyone.

"Hm, another one of your things?" Finn asked and I nodded "Would you be kind enough to explain?"

"Well, the thing is, I went down to this floor a lot and I was lazy to come up to the surface after getting a good haul" Riveria snorted, but I ignored her "So I made a deal with Boris if he would make me a home and I would pay him to take care of it"

"Interesting and feasible the truth" Finn smiled "What was the price?"

"Drop Items" I smiled mischievously "I'm lucky to get that kind of loot and with someone greedy like Boris the deal was done quickly. Just clarifying that the house isn't very spacious to say the least, but if we get in and we'll be able to rest"

"It doesn't matter. Being picky in the dungeon is foolish if we want to survive. You heard, let's get a move on, Hm?" Finn looked at the Noble Elf "Something wrong, Riveria?"

"The city is off..." Riveria narrowed her eyes looking in multiple directions.

"Now that you mention it, it's true"

Being with my thoughts, and inner monologues, I did not pay attention to the sound of Rivira. This place is never quiet with boisterous adventurers going to and fro.

"Let's go visit a store. Talking to a local is the best way to get information" Finn declared and no one refuted the idea.

We walked to one of the many places that had not closed. I mean, people won't miss things just because. Something big must have happened.

"Is your booth open for business?" Finn asked the woman in the tent.

"Huh? Ah, the Loki Familia" the Amazon approached Finn "Of course" she indicated to someone else to take the items.

Lefiya and Tione handed over the loot, while Finn started with the exchange of words. I was on the lookout for anyone approaching and any suspects.

"The city looks different from what I'm used to. Did something happen?"

"Ah, so they came in then..." the owner lifted her gaze from the magic stones "There was a murder. The body of an adventurer was discovered in the city"

Oh, that's bad. The words the Amazon said got the full attention of our group, none of us could help but show shock. She continued speaking.

"They found him recently. Since the town is small, word spread fast. Everyone has been on alert, so if you want to know anything go up the cliff at Willy's inn. You'll recognize it by the crowd of people"

The Amazon was silent and focused on calculating the value of the objects we exchanged. Quickly, the number was already on the piece of paper and she gave it to us.

"I guess we'll go see what happened, won't we?" I asked with Tione at my side nodding equally doubtfully.

"We can't pretend this isn't our problem if we're going to be here" Finn hummed "Let's check it out"

Willy's Inn was at the top of the slope. Due to the structure of Rivira the adventurers had to pass through cliffs from time to time. We climbed up a log ladder and watched the group of adventurers.

They were all crowded at the entrance of the cave. A sign hung in plain sight that read 'WILLY'S INN' in large letters and the language Koine.

"I will go and investigate. All of you, please wait here"

Tione was the first to try to go after Finn, but the crowded people would not let her pass. Finn, because of his size, was able to pass them all. Noticing our Familia quickly got rid of the people and we were able to pass.

Although we may have caused a scene, I don't care. The guards, the strongest in the city, had the entrance guarded, however, a person appeared on the road calling for attention.

"Ah, you're here"

"Uh, who's bothering now?" the patched man spoke, but as he gazed at Finn he opened his eye slightly "Finn, I can't right now. I'm busy with something"

"We were thinking of staying in town, however, now we can't turn a blind eye" Finn explained "What do you say, Bors?"

Bors clicked his teeth "Follow me"

Willy's Inn was a natural cave that cut into the rocks, it was tall and spacious, big enough for five people to walk through without discomfort. The counter came inside the entrance like a reception desk.

This was one of the best inns in town, however it seems that its reputation will fall after what happened. People are skeptical of returning to a place after a situation like a murder.

Bors... his full name is Bors Elder. He is an adventurer who ran one of the best swap stores, so I made my deals with him. Bors has a lot of connections and people respected him. He was a level 3, in Rivira he is the strongest adventurer and the person in charge of emergencies.

It didn't take us long to reach the room that was being guarded. Noticing Bors the guards stepped aside and let us pass through to the scene of the murder.

The room was stained bright red, with the body on the floor, head missing. The lower half was still clothed, the corpse had dark skin and what was left of its head was crushed like some fruit.

"Don't look, Lefiya" Ais told the Elf because she was the least resistant to this kind of thing compared to the others.

"Bloody..." Tiona scrunched her nose at his mild comment.

The carpet was stained with gorse with some dark stains. The bed and bookshelf were not spared from the blood splatter, the only thing illuminating the room was a magic stone lamp.

Why can't we have peace?
