After eating their lunch the next day, Zetta's spine started to shiver!
He didn't hear any.
He didn't see any.
But his inner body is continuously trembling.
His hands are shaking as if something is not right. . .red interface keeps on popping.
"What. . .is this feeling?"
He stand up from his seat and look where this uneasiness is coming from—he felt a very hard tinged from his guts and his muscles turned to stiff.
At the same time, he look 360 degree at every direction.
Time seemed to stop. Wind stop blowing and this uneasiness came from only one direction.
He stepped forward but fell on one of his knee—not because he turned weak.
But because "What the!?—"
KzZzzzz——!!
He almost cursed himself as he helplessness fills him from the sudden turn of events because at the same time, the earth and trees trembles as the sudden wave run through their camp.
The dark tentacles then came out of the said direction he is facing.
"Fuck! Rethusa, Lante! drag our Goddess away! Now!"
He cried out as the tentacle big as his body, split into four. . .
But the rest was too late, the tentacles initial target was Artemis herself while it whipped all the girls near her and grabbed their Goddess.

"Damn you! not my goddess! <Borrowed Power of Heracles!>" Zetta's body then created a smoke of a faintly red aura.
Artemis was captured the same time she reach out her hand towards Zetta while being pulled away from him.
The tentacle was so fast that a couple of seconds later, Artemis silhouette is now gone from the eye of the girls.
But of course Zetta follows the same time it pulled her away.

He repeatedly use his fastest maneuvering skill one after another just to get closed by. He then realize the tentacle came from Elsus Ruin as he followed it from above kicking the air.
Elsus Ruin is place where he felt an omnimous presence since coming into Artemis camp. He knew it isn't safe to go there so he reminds the girl and Artemis not to come near Elsus Ruin before.
But who would have thought it attack them instead.
"Was that Intimidation? The girls weren't affected, but me!?" he muttered as he still keep on following the tentacle holding Artemis.
Zetta has been attacked from time to time but he either slash the tentacle or tear them apart with sheer strength given by <Borrowed Power of Heracles>. As for the enemy's intimidation, it affects those who have a strong innate soul but are utterly useless when the receiving end isn't strong enough to feel it or so he thought, but at that time, Lante and Rethusa and others feel it but faint.
Though Zetta himself didn't know he had the strong soul, of course he overcame it with a will of saving his Goddess.
<Vanishing Drift!> When he closed the gap, his body flickered and slashed the tentacles holding Artemis and successfully liberates her.
He teleported in an instant; grabing her waist, he then leap up and activate his sword, "Eat their flesh and let none remain, Erinyes!" whilst devours the tentacles and until it remains nothing.
Moments later, an earpiercing bellow came from the inside of Elsus Ruin as if tormenting trees and earth making it tremble thereafter.
The sound made the wall crumble to pieces. What emerged is the scorpion with dark color and glowing red stripes.

Using appraisal, Zetta is bewildered.
This is the first time a Monster has an Alias and an unknown level.
But a God Eater?
So that's why its initial target was Artemis?.
Zetta thought so, worriedly and consciously look at his Goddess.
The scorpion screeches as if its ploy has been folded.
It then charged towards them after seeing the two.
Zetta then repositiones Artemis atop of his shoulder and leap up. The Antares' claw extended towards the two like a rubber.
"If you don't want to die don't come!!!" from the air, he cried out after noticing Rethusa and the girls are coming to rescue Artemis. He then move towards them and putting Artemis down.
"Go back. You're only a hindrance!" He says with harsh words. Artemis seemingly unapprove of abandoning him, but Rethusa pulled her body and nod, looking at him in straight.
"Good.." he then face his back against them. But for a brief moment, he mutteted "I'm sorry for being too harsh on you. your determination reached me, so... let's go adventure together at the Orario" as his words is directly to her; Zetta jumped up and went towards Antares. Who he speaking with is none other than Rethusa
'If I didn't defeat it here. other Gods might get devoured for sure' he thought.
Worst comes to worst. It will come where Gods are concentrated which is in this case, towards the Orario. So he decided to destroy it right here. But the back of his mind has telling something a gamer would. . .
"Hefty some of experience!"

And as its alias suggests, the one who Eat Gods, I'm sure it attracts the divine aura of Goddess Artemis but why it only attacks now? although a God can fight back using their Arcanum, they'll be immediately punished and perish from mortal world and sent back to Heaven by other Gods and never would be able to set foot at mortal realm ever again. That is why, the Gods preferred of dying and wait for tens of thousands of years to reincarnate than using their power to defend themselves from getting killed.
After my speech on the group, I went towards the Antares.
I'll have to kill it if I want a peaceful world. is what I thought.
But screw it. I just wanted to kill it for EXP, being frustrated of killing weak monsters as my level didn't rise at all. That is the reality I didn't even try to think.

P.O.V. of Rethusa
He said it.. the word I never thought exists in his vocabulary, though it was I who should said it.
Seeing his expression and smile as he mentioned to go with us there together. It made me happy. No, not just me but also others, especially Artemis-sama.
Actually before he came and when I was young where Artemis-sama adopted me along with others. She always telling the story about a dungeon, three great quest and the existence of a Heroes and their tale which inspires Gods before they decided to descend.
Of all of her stories, she's always happy storytelling about the biggest city and three great quest. But when we grow into adulthood she become serious as time passes by.
Maybe because of the death of other members made her change that much. But thanks to Zetta, she is now genuinely smiling everyday.
As we run away from his battlefield, we still heard the crumbling earth crying, destroyed trees and the wailing of his enemy. We didn't saw its true form but Artemis-sama only said it was a scorpion-like monster.
