Red moon pack secret

After Arthur left, alpha David Kingsley remained sitting in silence for a long time, thinking about what he had heard from his son early on.

He was thinking about an incident that happened many years ago to his uncle, and left the Kingsley family and some of the pack members heartbroken and thirsting for vengeance.

The human race can be kind at, and just as cruel. If anything, human being are the cruelest creatures that ever walked on this earth.

They take and keep on taking. They kill because they are afaird of the unknown, or just for the thrill of it.

They will betray you for their own benefit and gains.

Years ago, trust for one's mate, the bound between mates, had led to a betray that almost saw the end of the red moon pack.

Thinking about that incident, alpha David sighed softly. He can just imagine the reactions from the oldest pack members after they find out the possibility of Arthur's mate being, human.

Although they have learned how to live with, and among human beings, their dark past with them is still hard to forget.

The incident back then, was the only time that the red moon pack howled the longest. The pack howled for days, weeks and some months and years. Some of the pack members still howl each time they remember that day.

' Let's hope that history does not repeat itself. Would the moon goddess, have really cursed my son?' alpha David was hoping to himself and asking at the same time.

While he was deep in though, someone entered the room with a light knock on the door.

Alpha David snarled at the one that interrupted his thoughts, only to see his Luna, Gwen Wilson.

The luna bow down her head before commenting, "The way you were deep in thoughts and did not notice or smell my presence, tells me that our son told you something disturbing." she commented as she approaches her mate.

David looked at her before shaking his head, indicating that it was nothing. But Gwen raised her eye brows at him and he just sighed but did not answer.

Knowing that her mate wasn't going to tell her what he and their son had discussed, she decided to let it be for now and discuss with him about the things she was here for in the first place.

"Your birthday is in two weeks time...." He interrupted her before she could finish her sentence. "did I not tell you that, I will not be holding any kind of celebrations? Why are you suddenly talking about it now?"

Gwen sighed before saying, "I know what you said and I have delivered the message to all pack members but they insisted on having the celebration. So I came here to ask for your opinion on the matter, so what do you think? Should I reject their request or what do you want to do?"

The alpha thought for moment before saying, "Since they are insisting, let it be. Just do get involved in the organizing. Let them do all the work, you relax and enjoy your rest."alpha David said.

"In that case are we to invite the Holland loyal family from crescent moon pack?" The Luna asked.

The alpha stayed silent for a while before saying, "Of course you have to invite, after all they are our allies." David said.

"I will get to it then. You should stop thinking too much or your head will explode." Luna Gwen said as she walked towards the meeting room door.

After leaving the pack headquarters, Arthur want straight to the office. Two hours later, the meeting ended.

As he walked to his office, he saw his best friend and assistant, Logan standing by the door waiting for him.

He raised his brows at him as he opened the door and stepped inside the office.

"So the meeting today took longer than usual."

"Did something come up? What was the meeting all about?"

"Do not tell me, you were helping with the preparations of the birthday celebration man?"

"Does it not take longer than two hours most of the times? What preparations are you talking about? I thought father said he will not be holding any kind of celebration this year. Where did you get that information, because father did not mention anything about it."Arthur asked with a confused face.

"I meant the meeting at the pack headquarters this morning. The longest meeting, went maximum, for 20 minutes. Today's meeting though was 40 minutes." Logan said with a smirk on his face.

"The informat is your lovely sister Daisy Kingsley, so you know how reliable it is."

"Logan I think that you are too free nowadays that you have become just as nosey as Daisy is."

"Nosey? Daisy? wait until she hears of this." Logan said.

"You have just proved what I'm saying. Arthur said back.

Arthur looked down on the documents in his hands. He was deep in thoughts about what he had discussed with his father earlier today.

For as long as they would remember, the Kingsley family has had some of its members who had experienced visits from their mates before meeting them.

Mostly this experience has been common among the male members, who had their mate visit them. The visits would not last long before they meet but Arthur's was different. He was the only one who's mate visited this long without showing up in front of him or at least show her face in his dream visits.

He would not say that he is not a little worried. But his worries were not only regarding the possibility of this mate been a curse from the moon goddess but whether she was in danger right now and thus the delay to show up in first of him.

But still, his biggest worry was the reaction the pack will have if it really turned out that his mate was human.

With the experience the red moon pack had with the human race, it was hard to say what most of the oldest pack members would do or to what lengths they would go.

Back then, only one pack member had a human for a mate. His granduncle had waited for his mate just like his doing right now but when she finally came, something unexpected happened and his granduncle and many pack members perished.

Morgan Kingsley, is David Kingsley's uncle and Arthur Kingsley's granduncle. Back then Morgan had searched high and low for his mate.

He had stopped his search, when one night he got a visit from his mate in the dream. He was excited to have visit from her and could not wait to finally meet her.

Morgan and his mate, meet two weeks after the dream visit. They were happy together, at least Morgan was happy to meet his mate. But he would not have imagined what his mate had planned for him and his pack.

The day he and the pack found out what she had planned for them, was the most darkest day in the history of the entire pack to date.

The "dark moon" as that day is called, was the day that the pack howled the most and loudest. They howled for days and months, some still howl until today each time they remember that dark day.

What hurts the most is that, not only was that human mate and other humans involved in this but their own kind was involved.

Their fellow members had betrayed them for the greed of power. The closest people to them had helped in the bloodshed that took place.

"Hey Arthur! hey man!" Logan called Arthur a couple of times without getting a response from him. He was confused as to why his friend was behaving like that, because he has never seen him like that before.

He was so deep in thought that he was not even aware of his surrounding.

Arthur finally lefted his head to look at his friend who had a confused look on his face, just like the one he had a while ago.

"What happened man? Did something happen in that meeting? What's going on?" Logan asked question after another before Arthur who answer.

"She has been visiting me for a long time now, in my dreams, my mate."

"She does not feel like a werewolf. I think she is human. Father is worried, I can feel it even though he is trying to mask it up and not show it." Arthur said.

"You are worried too but also worried for her. You don't think she is in danger and thus the delay, do you?" Logan commented and asked at the same time. You could sense the danger when he asked the question at the end.

If someone had really done or was planning on doing something to her, then they just signed their own death warranty. You could tell just by the look in his eyes.

Arthur looked at him and smiled. "You are not worried that she might be my curse?"

"Even the alpha did not forbid you not to make connect with her, you think I would?"

"The most important thing is to make sure that she is safe. Whatever comes and happens, we will deal with it as it come, together!" Logan said in all seriousness.

"I don't think others will think of it that way."

It's not that Logan wasn't worried or did not care about what happened back then, or feel affected by it, it was just that all these years they had held on to it so much that it keeps hurting them to this day.

He just thinks that, they need to forgive whoever was involved and themselves to move on. Because if they continue like this, it will be easy for pack to from the dangers around them.

He believes that not everyone is the same. Just because of that one human woman, did it mean they have to condemn everyone else?

Everyone is not perfect, not all humans are the same. Just like them, some of their kind are rouges.

"Well, thats not a bad thing at all. We can even find out who is against you and the Kingsley family that way." Logan said full of seriousness as he thought of all those that were dissatisfied by the Kingsley family been the rulers of the red moon pack.

He knew that others may try to use that to get power. So they might as use this opportunity to deal with them.

"What are we going to do about the party? You know that the Holland family is coming too right?" Logan asked.

Arthur stayed silent for moment before saying, "We don't need to do anything, after all they are our allies."

"What about her? I'm certain she is coming too and the old geezers knew this and that's why they insisted on this celebration." Logan stated.

"Then let's prepare to entertain our guests " Arthur said with a smile.
