Chapter 4

The sun was shining brightly when I woke up and was getting ready to go to work and perform my daily routines .I had a very important client waiting to get service from me .I walked in the office owned by one of the elders of the town . I greet him and was shown my schedule,I made sure the requirements needed are all there so as to be supplied easily .

In the old man's office we usually sell equipments which were used for building most of the huts and houses in the town . The client who came to our offices was one of the wealthiest people in the state and so everyone was shocked that he chose to entrust our small office to buy his supplies. We were all excited because we all know we would make good money that can make our office branches expand in different places .

I was in charge of the client because the boss trusted me enough to give him a tour of the office and the materials which were needed by him. Soon I took him to the warehouse where most of our goods and materials were stored and he claimed to like everything and he wanted to buy half of the materials to himself , we were all thrilled and amused but more proud because we all helped in making this to happen .

I watched him curiously as he gazed at the warehouse as if he was an undercover detective looking for something to put a blame on but I brushed it away thinking on how much money we will make for today's deal. It was a full light Saturday where many workers were in the warehouse working their sweats off to make some earnings. When we were done we went straight to the office for negotiating payments and how the deliveries are going to be done .

Soon I escorted the client outside the office as instructed by the boss,but then the client stopped abruptly and looked at me curiously and he said something unexpected,he said " young boy come find me if you want a better life and a better future , I can see that you are working really hard to get really far , trust me you will make it if you will never give up " , I wanted to say something but when I recovered from his words , he was already gone , I sighed frustrated .I let out a heavy breath which I didn't know that I was caught up with and turn and went back to the office.It was then late evening when I was at the meeting with the boss and then we decided to end the day with smiles plastered on our faces .

"We all did it , we all made this happen and this was all becaus if our hard works , the boss said to all of us before we all went to our homes "

I was exhausted and wanted to eat something when I got home and get some rest but I was totally wrong instantly, when I came near the place where I knew I could find some cooked healthy food so that I could feed my stomach , I heard a commotion like people fighting ,I wasn't aware that my brothers were causing a scene outside the house " it was just a disgraceful sight to watch" I shakes my head slightly and I didn't want to interfere so I just walked pass them and went straight to the kitchen to find some food . I was frustrated and was in rage when I saw nothing in the kitchen, I took a risk and asked Mom if she cooked any food but her reply made my heart ache she said to me

" you knew that you were a burden and needed to be helped but that gives you no reason to ask me about food just give me the money so that your siblings and I could feed our stomach well while you work like a servant child who you are . "

I said nothing I just glared at her at the moment and then walk outside the house fuming, I am the one who work my ass off each and everyday at this shit home, can'tthey be thankful that they aren't sleeping with empty stomachs? Cant they even once feel like I am apart of that family of theirs?

Was it my fault taht I had to be born in such a wicked family?

Was it my fault that I had to go out there and find something to feed the family?

I didn't want to hear what and how she wanted to insult me ,So I walked away from the place but when I was a little far from home I heard her calling me and demanding for money like a wild beast .I didn't want to say anything, I wanted to be swallowed by the ground so that she could never see me again but I knew I would satisfy her thirst of getting rid of me easily and I wasn't planning on that so I played the code of silence and gave him a glare and gave her what I all had in my pockets with anger filled in my face , looking at her wicked face and soon " I walked away . "

Soon I reached on one of the huts which I bought and knew that I would need it sooner or later , so I bought it and hid from everyone that " I bought myslef a small house . " I was exhausted and just cooked something plane and simple and went to study because I had upcoming tests but which were coming at school .Although my life was hard but I had no intentions of leaving school. I was in my junior year in high school and a lot of responsibilities on my shoulders that I didn't even have time for my self. It was then midnight when I finished studying and decided to take a warm bath and drift to sleep,the small house which I used to call it mine was cosy and small ,it had only one bedroom,a small dining room and a neat bathroom. After some time I came out of the bathroom and drift myself on my own pool of dreams .

He slept peacefully but he was un awre of what was following him and he also didn't know that through his struggles he will succeed no matter what because he was a fighter like no one and he will build something .

Something bigger than what he was thinking and dreaming of nor expecting ..
