You are not human ?

Leila was surprised her father did not outrightly ask her to return what she just found but instead gave her a name 'her friend?' she had never had a friend this could get better but she needed to keep her .

"Father can I keep her ?" she asked her father as though Keila was a pet cat that she found on the streets while Keila just stared at her dumbfounded she wanted to say she was a wolf and had feelings and all but was just looking and couldn't utter a word .

"Leila she isn't a pet, but yes I promise to make her stay, this is the first time you want a human" The King said much to Keila's delight and Leila smiled looking up to see Keila looking back at where she came from.

"Keila?" Leila drew her attention and Keila turned her head back to the king her eyes teary, she smiled rubbing her eyes to dry it quickly.

She realized she actually haven't greeted the King yet which was disrespectful,she was sure if her father was here he would stop at nothing to make her feel utterly useless and a failure.

"Good evening your highness"she sent her greetings without bowing which was surprising to Leila because everyone now their head to her father and Keila didn't she is liking this her friend more.

"Keila ?... why don't you follow our car to the palace and we can talk before you go " The king asked surprising his daughter yet again, her father asking instead of ordering??!

she did not know her father was trying to make the obvious lone Wolf comfortable so she can be company with his daughter.

"But I have to go back to my Land before my father looks for me" Keila said and the bitter taste she felt in her tongue at the lie of her father looking for her made her want to spit out but it would be disrespectful to the king .

"You are not human ?" the king was genuinely surprised she looked nothing like a wolf she was too delicate and the color of her hair, also she isn't even hairy like the rest of female wolfs.

"I'm not human and I'm not sure I'm a wolf either since no one take me as one back at home" Keila said her voice dropping some octave lower than they were before, she knew no one would miss her if she did not return but she was a good child.

"Why don't you join us for dinner then a guard can escort you back to your Land" The king offered again a guard moving close and Leila knew she could not take. another turn down so she quickly hooked her arm around Keila's

"My friend Keila please come with me I promise to do anything you want for you okay?" she tugged at Keila's hand as she pleaded with her doe eyes looking up at Keila .

Keila knew she might not even have to go back home early because no one will miss her or even care she is not back yet, and also this could count as an adventure and she'll see more of human kingdom.

"Okay but I will return as soon as we get to your home.... or palace" Keila mumbled and the king smiled he liked how innocent she was he wouldn't have to be scared of his daughter being influenced into bad deeds

"Let's go then" said the king of Realeria

"yes your highness" she replied and turned to follow the king also guided with Leila's tug.

Keila was totally awed by the majestic view she was met with, the palace was a castle she screamed in her head,she had heard humans were very Influential and plenty but she didn't think they will be this modern and rich too.

The castle ground was green and lush, had these large gates your eyes barely meet the top if you stretch, and the guards so many and also in uniform they bowed to the king which she just remembered she had not done it since she met with the king he must have seen her as disrespectful.

"This is my home and it's yours too now" Leila declared happily and Keila was surprised again.she was so in for surprises today it seems.

" Thank you Princess Leila" she was gratified and Leila smiled .

Getting down from the car after covering the distance to the main castle gates, they all walk down and Keila caught sight of a woman standing at the front door,it's obvious she was waiting for them .She walk down the small stairs and got to her husband she kissed his cheeks and moved to Leila

"Where have you been you naughty one?" Queen Tamara asked her only child

"Mother I found a friend and I will keep her" Leila said making her mother's jaw almost drop and that was when she noticed the extremely beautiful witch ?, she thought but she had a unique feel hmmm....

"Your majesty, good evening" Keila quickly recovered from her reveree of watching the woman and she greeted her respectfully.

Queen Tamara just stared at Keila intently and get brows creased a bit which the king noticed and also glanced at the girl again.

"Let's go inside" The queen replied instead, she turned around with Leila's wrist in her palm, so Keila awkwardly stood up and followed after them,Leila just smiled she knew her mom was mad at her for going out and refusing to come back earlier.

"Your Highness..., your majesty...., My princess dinner is ready" One of the maids in the castle informed them the minute they stepped inside the cast.

"Let's have dinner first then " The king offered but it's known as an order

They all moved to diner section the dining room and Keila gingerly watched them and followed what Leila did, she's a princess after all and their etiquette training are not a child's play so she might as well learn from little princess of the human kingdom.

They sat down and they was this silence that Keila wished will break until Leila broke the silence with a bomb. because she knew it will be rude to talk first in a royal dinner where she was just a guest from another land .

" Keila you don't have to go back to your Land my home is beautiful,right ?".
