14 silent tears

"I am sorry " Daniel apologized sincerely . He still wasn't able to look at her . He was astonished by her accurate hypothesis.

" Look me in the eye and say it " sera told him with a serious tone. He started to gather his confidence and looked at her with his grey eyes . He started messing his brown hair and said.

"I was a dumbass and you can refuse to help me . I would deserve it .I will go tell them I was lying .I am sorry . I did something unacceptable after you trusted me".As soon as he finished talking he looked away from her blue eyes.

Sera had a thought and said it out loud

"I never thought you were handsome till today . You look like you have done something that you could kill youself for. I will help you for two reasons . First , I am going to need your help sooner or late and you know for what . Second , you are a good person you just wanted to prove your family wrong and I know that feeling . " Sera finished and her words touched and relieved Daniel's heart . Surprisingly Dennis was the one who responded

" Sera , Daniel !! Why don't you try dating for real."

They were both surprised by Dennis's comment . He didn't care as he continued talking. He found both of them idiots. He saw chemistry and he knew he had to play his part as Cupid.

" You are going to be a fake couple either way . You both also don't believe in love and you respect each other so why don't you give it a shot. You could fall in love for real. It's far fetched but I got a feeling and I am usually correct . Either way you won't lose anything for trying" Dennis tried to read their faces as Silence filled the room as both Daniel and Sera were thinking . Daniel didn't take long

" I don't care .I usually dated the ones who confessed to me and look how that turned out so I won't mind trying "

". Well just a warning I never had a boyfriend before so i am inexperienced and I will never apologize for something I didn't know I should have done cause I am a girlfriend . I will do what I see is right " Sera responded to Daniel and a deal was sealed. They both officially became boyfriend & girlfriend. It felt weird to them. They didn't believe they accepted their proposal but they did so they have to try.

"Well if you please go now cause I need my beauty sleep . I have a big day tomorrow" Sera told them with a smile on her face but her blue eyes were anxious.

" Oh right your family tommorow " Daniel remembered their conversation earlier that day

"Well let's go Dan " Dennis took Daniel and left Sera .

After they left Sera looked at the window that viewed a wonderful sight of the stars . She looked for a while and then went to sleep worrying about what awaits. She hoped her day would be less hectic than Daniel's.

########### NEXT DAY ########

The awaited visitors arrived . Her parents entered the room with her aunt . They were all elegantly dressed . All of their clothes were brands that cost a fortune . That was expected as her father 'Jack Furley' was a great business man . He took over his father's business at a young age as his father died early. No one would dare say that Jack wasn't a genius . He made the company develop at an alarming rate . Although all he thinks about is his business and was angered when he got his first born child a girl . Sera would always be compared to his own dream son. Even though his next daughter was loved by him. Sera couldn''t find a reason for his hatred of her.

" Sera , is what I heard true ??? Why the hell were you with Mark just after the engagement broke. Do you know how bad this would affect my company. The one that I am trying so hard to make it prosper while all you do is try to bring it down "

Sara laughed in her thoughts as the first words that came out of her father were related to her sister and how he would be able to use that to make the company larger. He didn't even care about her broken arms and legs . She was in a hospital bed and all he cared about was his business.

" I was trying to find the reason as to why he broke it off " she answered her father dryly

"And did you find out ? Cause your sister has been crying since the day he broke it off " her mother said . Her mother was an elegant lady and she got married not because of love . It was a political marriage . She did care at first but by time she let it go . She also disliked her first born as her husband wanted her to be a boy but Sera betrayed her by being a girl. Her mother always felt betrayed from sera even though she did nothing . She felt betrayed when sera decided to become a singer. She felt betrayed when sera cried for her godmother's death.

" No I haven't . He was too drunk to tell me " sera lied to them as something broke in her heart after they came here . She realized the hard truth . She also decided that she wouldn't cry about it . She was prepared for this . She had only one loving parent and she died . Her godmother died . She is an orphan now.

" Tell me the truth sera did you have an affair ? You know if this goes out the whole family reputation will go down " her father warned her with a threatening tone.

" Do you think I am that shameless ?" Sera asked while laughing loudly. She looked crazy after no one answered.

"......" They became quiet and that made her snap.

" Get out now " sera shouted

"Dear , you can't treat your parents like that " her aunt told her. Her aunt just came here to gloat and find something to talk about. She didn't care about her niece's well-being. She only cared about her sister's husband as Sera was the only one who knew about the affair.

" From this day I am an orphan . I had a mother and she died . My name is sera Claude " sera said with a serious tone. She took her godmother's name with pride. She decided she would leave her fake family behind.

" No you don't get to do that . I will be the one to disown you , not the other way do you hear me " her father shouted angry .

" Hey , this is a hospital . She is a patient . How can you shout ?? You are supposed to come here to check on her well being not shout !!!! Please show yourselves out of this hospital as you heard her" Daniel entered the room and glared at her parents.

He was tired of parents. He knew that no one can choose his own parents but this was hard for Sera. They never thought of her as a daughter. He pitied and admired her for being strong. If he was in her place he would have broke down a long time ago.

" And who would you be ?" Jack asked while looking with a disgusted look. Daniel smiled while saying his full name as Sera's father had a reputation of kissing ass.

" I am the chief of this hospital . Daniel Russel "

" As in the russel family !!! You are the medical son . .......I am... sorry .....I will go " Jack was terrified as the Russels were the second richest family . He didn't want to annoy them as it would be bad for business

Everyone left except Daniel . He closed the door and said

" let it out "

as soon as he said that she cried silently and Daniel took her in his arms and tried to make it better

" It's hard . But you have to pull through " Daniel tried to relieve her but she was crying silently .not a sound came from her . Only the tears were dripping . The sight was heartbreaking .

Sera kept saying " I miss my mother but she is dead...... I miss my mother but she is dead."

Daniel kept silent as he couldn't say anything. There was nothing to say.
