12 NO WAY

the table was awaiting Daniel's explanation for what he said. He knew where this was going. He had only one solution and he didn't want to do it.

Daniel looked at his brother with a look of begging for an escape from this situation. James figured out his brother's call for help.

In James point of view, he knew his brother was about to lie. He knew all his previous girlfriends. He was also the reason for most of them breaking up with him. He just tested them and they were bitches. He saw his brother in a mess. He gave Daniel a look that said ' I will help but you owe me '

James was about to talk but his father interrupted him

" James I don't want you to say anything. Did you really think I didn't know that you visited him when I said he wasn't part of the family. I did not care cause you worked hard to replace him but you don't get to cover up for him in this one" their father raised his voice slightly. That made Daniel snap.

" You know you were never a father to us. How can someone say that to your own son. The one who became what you wanted. Have you really seen him work hard. Did you ever ask him about what he ever wanted. We are not your slaves FATHER " Daniel glared at his angry father. He knew his words affected him but Daniel was tired. He knew that his father changed because of his mother's death but he needs to wake up. His dead mother wouldn't have agreed to what he was doing. Daniel broke free from his fear of his father and it was only thanks to his brother and grandpa. He looked at his mother and she was afraid of her husband's anger. She was about to intervene but her husband was faster.

" Well it's not my fault. You should blame yourself for that. If you really loved him you would have sacrificed your dreams for his happiness but you didn't do that so you have no right to blame me."

His father regained his calm after he finished talking but it made Daniel more pissed as part of it was right. He had a choice between his dreams and his brother and he chose his dreams. He couldn't look at his brother but he found James's hand gripping his shoulders. This was James way of telling him he never thought about it that way. It was also a sign to tell him we need to talk it out cause you are a self righteous idiot. Daniel looked at James and found him smiling without a care in the world. This moment was interrupted by Gramps.

" So who is the lucky girl this time. You know I want some great grand children" Gramps said not realizing that Daniel lied about it. After all his grandfather and his mother were the ones who wanted him to get married.

Daniel realized he is going to hell. He started lying ,hoping that he wouldn't get busted and wishing that he can fix this situation after this day ends. He looked at everyone. He couldn't bear to disappoint his grandfather because he was smiling. He hadn't smiled since his wife's death. She died seven years ago.

"she is a patient of mine and I can't disclose information about her till she is discharged." Daniel started lying while cursing himself.

"oh and when will that be?" his mother asked in a worried tone

"about a year .she got in a bad accident and her legs were severly damaged" Daniel said while telling them Sera's story. He wished that no one would be smart enough to notice.

"give us a first name .I don't think that will affect anything" his father told Daniel with a smirk on his face. He knew his son was making things up and that made Daniel more angry

'screw you ' Daniel said that in his inner thoughts

"sera " Daniel said that name while regretting what he did. There is no coming back from this. He made a huge mistake and what he was doing wouldn't only get him in trouble. It would cause trouble to her and she had enough already. He wanted to punch himself as his twin cousins spoke.

"NO WAY" his cousins Miranda and Larry (from his aunt) said at the same time. They both looked identical. Yellow hair and amber eyes. They were both elegant as they were professional dancers. They were known by their twin dance.

"what's the matter Miranda do you know her?"Zara his other cousin(from his uncle) asked .Zara was the one whom Daniel's father wanted him to marry. ofcourse Daniel refused cause he wasn't in love with her. He didn't like the marriage between families as he knew the possible outcomes as he was a doctor.

Miranda answered her cousin's question with a scream

" I think he meant the singer Ruby the Cannary .she went to your hospital about ten weeks ago .I was meaning to ask you if you had met her cause I am a big fan of her"

"guilty ha ha" Daniel said with a forced smile while cursing in his head and wishing this table would burn to ashes.

"man you are lucky ,she is too hot " zara's brother Carol commented with an indecent tone that made Daniel angry. He glared at him and that made Carol regret what he said.

"I have finished my dinner and I will take my leave" Daniel said in a disgusted tone .

"son don't leave. I didn't get talk to you ." His mother said as it has been six years and she hadn't properly had a conversation with him. She knew she was at fault and that was killing her. She couldn't do anything. The only thing that she could do was being a good wife at the price of her sons.

" I will visit later mother .goodbye everyone " he knew how she felt but he still couldn't forgive her. He knew it was his fault but she didn't even call him for six years. He was her son. If he couldn't have achieved his dreams would she never have called him for the rest of his life. He ignored his thoughts as he had more problems to fix.

After he said his goodbyes he went to the driver and told him to head to the hospital. He had to go fix his mistakes. He would do anything even beg for Sera's forgiveness. He kept praying the entire ride that this problem would end well. He really didn't want to lose Sera. It was his first time feeling that way.
