12 Possibilities

The bright light of the warm sun hits my face signaling that it was morning. I open my eyes blinded by the ray of light hitting through the window to my right, it's bright light making my eyes close a bit. I place my arm on my eyes to block the light as I get up from my bed and sit on the edge.

"I guess a lot really has happened this week, but even so I don't know too much about the phenomenon or the virtualizer for that matter." I think before getting up from my bed and starting to fold the sheets and fix my bed. I finish folding my white bed sheet when Erika begins to speak.

"For not caring about yourself a lot you're quite tidy aren't you?" She asks.

"To think to know that already...but yeah I guess it's just habits," I reply back.

I continue to finish making my bed when I head into the bathroom to change and start my day.

As I grab my keys and head outside and lock the door Erika chimes in.

"So where are we heading?"

"The market nearby, I'm all out of food," I say.

As I continue walking onto the sidewalk passing the trees beside the road with cars passing by.

The wind blowing in my face and picking up the leaves on the pavement. The sun shining as brightly as ever until l reach an abrupt halt, as the light turns green and I make a left turn taking a shortcut by going through the nearby Park.

I continue walking up, thinking alongside it.

"Hmmm what to eat...eh I guess scrambled eggs with bacon it's quite simple, yeah I'ma settle with that," I think to myself until a random thought fills my head.

"Wait I decided to help Erika even tho I have no clue as to who she is...or at the moment what the Virtualizer is. I guess it's worth asking."

While thinking that it makes me place my hand on my face which catches the attention of Erika.

"Is something wrong? your face kinda screams I'm one big idiotic fool who clearly inst that smart as I seem."

Taking my hand off my face to change my facial expression.

"Eh? that's quite SPECIFIC, don't you agree?" I say quite annoyed.

"Hmph, not at all I'd say it's quite accurate or even being too nice to the truth." Erika saying clearly being full of herself.

"For having a soft voice it sure barks" I state.

"Your quite the similar thinking you're better than others, no?" She states.

"Well, the world is filled with idiots so it's obvious that I would be better," I reply back being pushed to the limit at this point.

"And yet you would choose to help those very same people. At the end of it all, you still seem to care even if it's just a little bit." She says which takes me aback a little.

*Sigh

"You can probably guess my answer, but since I have your attention now there's something I wanna ask."

"Go on, there's no reason to stop you." She proclaims.

"What exactly is the Virtualizer?" I ask her while walking.

"The Virtualizer the thing that governs this outcome and others like this one. It's probably quite obvious that with this much info I'm not from this outcome I guess you can say."

"Outcome...are you saying that it could see or control all possibilities of actions as an example," I ask Erika.

"That's kinda the gist of it as I said before the world was given a second chance as it looked for another timeline where the outcome being the end of the world would be changed, that is this one. Along that line, it saw a person with bad intent and it decided to pick this outcome on its own, but as a result, as you know phenomenons are errors of its inability to truly handle being an overseer of sorts."

"Well, I guess nothing completely new but another question. How exactly are we gonna defeat it I guess?"

"As you are now it's gonna be quite impossible but if we want to first we would have to defeat it's the round table that defends it," Erika says.

"Round...table?" I ask.

"It's the 7 knights that protect it. 7 of the strongest Requiem users, all based on the Holy Knights of King Arthur legend." She states.

"Wait, King Arthur?" I ask surprised.

"Yes, once we take down all 7 of those knights are defeated we should be able to achieve my goal," Erika says.

"But they aren't based on the 7 holy knights for no reason it seems even the leader of those knights who goes by Arthur, actually has the legendary blade Excalibur." Erika proclaims.

"This certainly went from 0 to 100 real quick," I say before finally reaching the market. As I walk around the store grabbing all the necessary food needed to restock my fridge I notice someone near the sweets section, it was Rin.

"I guess she likes sweets huh?"I think to myself before going to grab my last item before going to pay for the food.

The lady behind the cashier begins to scan all my items eventually finishing before hearing a familiar voice behind me.

"Eh? where's my purse?...hehe my bad it seems I forgot it all pay for it another day. "It was from Rin. The woman at Fins cashier immediately holds her from taking what seemed to be a chocolate bar.

"Hehe... I guess you're not gonna let me by, aren't you?" She says while smiling.

I go up to the cashier.

"I'll pay for it, doing worry." As I hand over a 5 dollar bill to the cashier.

"Huh? Yuri...what are you doing here?." Rin says.

I finish paying for my items and grab all my bags as I speak to Rin.

"That should be quite obvious at first glance, I'm just grabbing some groceries."

As I walk outside the door and walk towards the park to my house when I hear sudden footsteps getting closer and closer. They eventually reach a ha?lt as a hand is placed on my shoulder forcing me to stop and turn around, it had been Rin running up to this point. She pants from running quite a bit.

"* pant Finally caught up to you...I really wanted to just say thank you." Rin proclaims.

"Well, if that's all I'ma leave then," I said before beginning to walk again towards my house.

"Huh? your gonna leave just like that? wait!" Shouts Rin making me once again atop and turn around.

"Is there something else you would like to say?" I ask. Only to see Rin looking quite angry at me for some reason as she begins to speak.

"You literally just left without even as much as a bye," Rin says getting closer and closer only to poke me.

"You have to be kidding me, this is what I get for being involved...this is dumb I'll just ignore her walk away." I think before Erika chimes in.

"You sure that's a great idea she seems kinda persistent like a 5-year-old trying to get candy." Said Erika.

"I think that's a bit TOO accurate...." I think to myself before deciding to just leave and walk away.

"Eh? Again!" Rin shouts.

This time I don't stop and just continue walking and to my surprise, she doesn't follow.

"I think I annoyed him a bit, eh I think it will be fine if I apologize for it on Monday at school."Rin thought to herself.

I continue to walk down the park actually leaving it and finally reaching home. As I unlock the door and close it behind me. I proceed to set the food on the table and put some items such as milk in the fridge. As I go and sit down in the living room.

"Arent you gonna go eat? its already almost 11."

Erika states.

"No I'm not exactly hungry plus I can without eating for a while, so it's fine." The moment I said that I immediately regretted it. A moment of silence appears before being completely overtaken by Erika talking.

"I did not save your life just for you to starve yourself!" Erika proclaims.

"Eh? I get it no need to shout I'll end it there I'm just gonna go eat then." I say which calms her down. I go into the kitchen and prepare what I had in mind and finish it and eat which seems to make Erika happy. Immediately after finishing thoughts fill my head while sitting down.

"The Round table and it's 7 knights or opponents would be correct. Yeah, that seems it's gonna be a challenge right now, but to think it's possible one of those could be as strong as the legend of King Arthur. Makes me wonder what sort of abilities and Requiems they possess."

I sigh before speaking to Erika.

"I'm going to try once more to create that knife of ice."

"If you fail I want us to go somewhere right after this," She says.

"Where specifically?" I ask.

"Just an old friend who might be able to help and certainly will know more information then I do now."

"Alright". I say before extending my left arm and opening my hand. As I whisper under my breath those words.

"Restrictions released...Virtualizer linked... Frozen Requiem."

"Okay, just gotta visualize the knife everything about it... it's a sharp blade, it's black handle it's quickness and lightweight. The light that shines through the blade."

I could feel a certain amount of magical energy going into my hand it's cold and form. As what was in my hand grew a bit a slightly changed shape and weight. I open my eyes to once again see I had made a knife of ice, except this time I could tell it was unstable its structure, everything about it was chaotic but yet how was I able to see this. Erika chimes in.

"So you were successful this time huh?"

"No, I failed again it's quite unstable and could explode and any moment," I say which right after the knife would indeed burst and break.

"See told you," I say before Erika speaks.

"Well, I guess we're going then to see if that friend of mine is there or not then."

"I suppose so," I say

"Wait, how did Yuri know it was unstable with his abilities right now that should be quite impossible. Unless he...hmmm it's possible but maybe my old pal will know something about it." Erika thinks to herself.

I proceed to get up and ask Erika.

"So do we start going or no?"

"Yeah it seems so just not right now I doubt he's there at this hour," Erika says.

"Alright then."

As I sit down once more and wait for the time to pass by.
