10 Past And Present

I continue to walk towards Miyuki as the dusting of leaves fills the empty school gate. The bright sun as the heat hits my face as it soon begins to fade as the sunset kicks in and offers a different warm light. I finish walking and stop as I crouch down to check on Miyuki.

"She still seems to be unconscious, well I can't just leave her here...but I can't exactly stay here and wait for her to wake up. It would be hard to explain how she even ended up here...Hey Erika, any thoughts on the matter?" I say out loud while standing.

"It's true we can't leave her here...explaining certainly wouldn't be good either...." Erika states.

"Well, two options do come to mind. One I can take her to my house until she wakes up or her house and hopefully her parents are there."I mention.

"Even with me winning that fight...she still got involved somehow...theres nothing I can do about that now. Yeah, I'll just take her to her house it seems to be the best." I think to myself but before I even move Erika speaks again.

"While you're clearly pushing on you can't deny that you aren't exhausted. With one good look at your magical energy, it's pretty much close to nothing. It's pretty clear you tend to take her to her house....but in your position, that seems quite impossible at the moment." Erika reclaims in her soft tone but, clearly worried.

"What she said certainly isn't wrong...but even so while I may be tired barely hanging on. Even so, compared to hat she did this is just child's play." I think to myself before speaking.

"Yes, I admit it seems quite daunting to try and carry her to her house but I owe her more then you can imagine, because of that even if I'm tired I will do it to the very end," I state back to her.

"So this is why...hmm well at this point it seems futile to try and stop you but do try to back up your words and don't push yourself that hard..." Erika says before going silent.

"...All repay you someday...for everything..." I say out loud.

As I pick up Miyuki and put her on my back I begin to walk. The wind blows on my face one last time as the sun finally sets in and the nightfall begins. I continue to walk along the sidewalk occasionally stopping for the street light as thoughts fill my head.

"Hmph... I guess if it weren't for you pushing me to at least care a bit I wouldn't be here now especially not as such a top student. Even now you still stick with me to the bitter end. When almost no one would talk to me...you did for some reason. Through my lack of care and selfless and even until now....one day all thank you properly once I have found my true purpose..." I say in a low tone.

The flashing of the blinding cars as a couple pass by. I steadily grow more tired but it seems after those 30 minutes of walking I have finally arrived. There in front of me stood before a white house quite a beautiful one at that with two floors with a black roof. I continue to walk with Miyuki on my back to the front door where I ring the doorbell. The door is suddenly opened and I am taken aback a bit. In front of the door stood Miyuki's mom.

"Oh, Yuri hmm wait is that Miyuki? Hoo have you finally noticed Miyuki's charm?" She says quite joyful with a smile.

"Nice seeing you as well Ms.Yukino, but that not why I'm here," I reply back.

"Ooh, bummer, and here I hope she finally found someone but if that's not why then what brings you here with Miyuki." Ms.Yukino states.

"Miyuki went unconscious at the school gate while with her but luckily I was able to carry her here," I state.

"Oh my well then please come in you must be tired from carrying Miyuki this whole time so please take a break as well," Ms.Yukino says with a concerned look.

"So please dear if you mind place her on her bed in her room upstairs will you." She states.

"Yeah, that fine," I say back.

As I enter and Ms. Yukino closes the door behind me and I head upstairs to take Miyuki to her room.

"How...long has it been since I was here? definitely haven't been here since middle school that's for sure it seems like it's changed a bit with new pictures." I think to myself while finishing walking the stairs. I make a turn into the left and see her room. I continue to walk until I reach her door. I slowly twist the doorknob as I enter her Miyuki's room.

"As expected she definitely keeps it neat and clean and it's white like the rest of the house. Even her bed and drawer is as well. Whatever that's not the point." I think to myself as I move towards her bed. I slowly take Miyuki off my back as I gently place her on her bed. Miyuki still seems unconscious with her eyes closed and having a resting face. As I turn to her small drawer next to her bed I see a picture. It's a picture of two kids. A boy with black hair and coat alongside a scarf and a girl. The girl having long perfect black hair red hoodie and black skirt. As I pick up the picture to take a closer look.

"It's the picture from 1st grade...can't believe she still kept that picture her mom took of both of us as kids. Hmph, can't believe that's how she was and how I looked back then..." As I finish thinking I place the picture back down. I begin to start moving to the door as something grabs my hand at the last minute, It's Miyuki.

"Huh? oh, you're awake." I begin to say.

Miyuki's hand still grabbing mine facing the other way whose face was clearly flushed red begins to speak.

"Thank...you. I don't understand why I collapsed but thank you for bringing me home..." Miyuki says before letting go and placing her hands close together.

"No need to thank me," I reply.

The room had suddenly become awkward but I suddenly felt overbearing fatigue build up as my eyes suddenly felt tired almost giving up on its self. Soon after it became pitch black and I fell unconscious and fell. I suddenly fell on Miyuki's lap.

"Huh...Ummm huh? Yuri...Yuri, Yuri!" Slowly her voice faded.

It was pitched black again. I was back here again this empty black void where I first met Erika.

"I guess Erika truly was right that I was pushing myself too far...So I did collapse due to my using too much what she called magical energy which I'm guessing is what allows me to use Frozen Requiem..." I think to myself as other thoughts pile on.

"Frozen Requiem...or Requiems for that matter are exactly are these abilities? hmm, I guess I can only figure out if I find the truth behind the Phenomenon I doubt Erika knows a lot about it, tho it wouldn't hurt to ask." I think to myself before calling out to Erika.

"So it seems your back here..." Erika replies.

"Yeah, it seems so but you did call this the back of my mind..."I proclaim

"Yes that's correct but for some reason, yours seems quite empty almost as if you care quite little for yourself. As this is based on the person's mind so their desires and deepest thoughts are shown here yet none are shown." Erika states

"Based on a persona deepest thoughts....hmm anyways Erika I would like to ask you about my Frozen Requiem or Requiems in general for that matter." I proclaim to Erika.

"Requiems huh well all give you what I know and as well what I can remember. As for some reason, it seems like some of my memories are locked ever since you, and I started sharing a life link. Some seemed to have come to me when you unlocked your Requiem." Erika says.

"Anyways about Requiems well to put it simply they are in a way the manifestation of one's self just as your weapon is as well. This is why I found you having my Requiem, Frozen Requiem quite odd but again I have a feeling it might be due to our link and that it may have interfered with the development of your Requiem. Whether or not you do end up as well as developing yours is unclear. On that note, I'm quite intrigued how Frozen Requiem will become in your hands since it's most likely to change since your it's user." Erika states.

"Wait so even tho it's your Requiem it will end up being different?" I ask.

"Correct, this is because of Requiems acts or in other words stages of its power or potential.

Each Requiem has 4 acts these are known as its stages. Act one it's merely its unlocking or activating of a Requiem. Act two increases one's speed and strength as well as it gives new techniques. Act 3 is hugely dependent on its user as it's reflected on the user's emotions and mindset but also gives a boost in power. Lastly, act 4 or the perfect order is the ultimate power of a Requiem and is the peak of one's potential and is the strongest act."Said, Erika.

"Acts....and potential as well as her lock in memories this is certainly a lot of important info right now..." I think to myself.

"One last question if you don't mind, it's as to how those guys were able to hear you." I as Erika.

"Well all be honest I don't exactly remember why as those memories are locked but I think I have a good idea. As for the first guy he most likely just heard a weird noise instead of me. Kentaro on the other hand, I'm positive he can hear me due to the fact that I have spoken to him before and since I have allowed myself to be heard once he can hear me even now. In the future, we should watch out for him since he's certainly strong he did go quite easy on you now but there's no telling if he might another time." Erika says.

"So that's why..." As soon as I finish speaking the black space seems to be breaking.

"It seems our time here is done as you are probably waking up right now," Erika says as the black empty space breaks as darkness devours me once again and I wake up. As I wake up a sudden soft cushioned squishy thing is under my head. I open my eyes to see a smiling but then suddenly embarrassed Miyuki whose hand is stroking my hair.

"Hmmm mind me asking where am I?" I ask Miyuki.

"O-oh yeah you're still in my house you collapsed suddenly I'm guessing the cause of you carrying me. So I decided to let you rest for a while." Miyuki says.

"Oh got it, but a rest on your lap quite odd but enjoyable as I smile but you were kinda stroking my hair which is odd." I state which makes Miyuki suddenly realize that as well and turn away.

"You don't mind me sleeping a bit more, do you?". I ask Miyuki.

" No..."

As I continued to rest for a bit longer.
