13 Encounter

The ticking of the clock fills the empty room from being devoid of sound. I eventually grow tired of it and sit right back up from laying on the sofa. Damn is there anything I can do? to at least pass the time, these thoughts circle around my head. The light from the window shining in through.

"Hey, Erika is there something I can do meanwhile I'm waiting for this pal of yours to show up at his place?"

"Huh? you're asking me? well, what do you usually do then?" Erika asks.

"Hmmm, not much really I clean whenever it's dirty. Lay around and such but besides that nothing necessarily comes to mind."

"Wait, you're telling me you essentially do nothing?" Erika asks taken aback.

"Yeah, I guess that's true to some degree it's not like I have anything to do around here or anything in particular for that matter."

I stand up and go over to the kitchen and open the fridge to open and begin drinking a bottle of water before Erika begins to speak once more.

"Eh? well, do you have friends at least? maybe you can spend time with them."

"Yeah well you see I don't have ANY friends so fortunately, that's not possible."

As I place the water bottle back in the fridge and head back to sit down Erika speaks except sounding quite disappointed from the sound of it.

"So you have NOTHING to do, you ACTIVELY avoid people but are complaining about having nothing to do. You really are quite "special" in your own way I suppose."

I lay back on the couch while staring at the ceiling it's white and quite plain appearance even questioning why my parents even let me stay by myself in a house, or heck even more why I've made it this far without putting giving a care in the world.

"Well, what about that girl Miyuki isn't she a friend of yours?"

These words of her made me realize well she did have a point. I guess she really is a friend.

"Well? is she? or not?"

Each question making the room suddenly feel much quieter than it already was.

"You at least care for her a bit no? I mean you did rush over to get her when Kentaro found her."

Erika's words hit differently this time. More of a way of her showing her point, well to some extent she was right. I guess it's pretty reasonable to think so but, just thinking about it makes me frown. I finally answer her.

"I guess she really is a friend but even so what of it anyone would rush over to her if a person was injured."

Well, that's what I thought at least but I guess in my perspective I would be better off not getting involved and such.

"Hmph, while true that wouldn't be the case for you now would it? as I said before your "special" in your own way. If you would avoid people normally why would you help them out if you don't even know them? that to me doesn't sound like something YOU would do."

The more and more Erika spoke about me it was getting quite clear as to what she was trying to do.

"Even so what of it? I don't need that from you now do I?"

At this point, her constant way of pointing out small things and assuming things was on my nerves. She sighs before speaking once more.

"I don't really understand your circumstance or your reason for what you do or even why you are as you are now, but even so you are helping me out so in any way possible in my time with you I want to help you out," Erika says in her soft tone as always.

Dammit and to think that she was getting on my nerves on just a simple thing. Or the fact that she at the end of it all is trying to help me like Miyuki. It makes me wonder if people like them are the reason I've made it this far and still am going as I am.

"I don't need your sympathy and you should know that."

"Even so to the end just know I will help you in some way."

Even with me saying that she would still persist, hmph I guess people like her really are the reason after all.

"Yeah, yeah got it."

After I say those words a moment of silence is upon the room before being broken by Erika saying one last thing.

"That's all I'll leave you for now then."

Those were her last words before as she stopped to speak. Maybe it wasn't the best way to end that but I guess it's too late now. I suddenly feel sudden sleepiness hit me as I fall asleep.

"Yuri, please come downstairs will you." I hear from a familiar voice as I get up from my bed and go downstairs. Once I reached downstairs I realized it was my mom calling me. a pretty person with black her and black eyes. Beside her was my dad a tall person with black hair as well alongside his blue eyes as I was constantly told that's where I got my blue eyes.

"Ah, finally Yuri here I would like you to meet our new neighbor's daughter so be nice."

Behind them stood a girl at my age around my height as well with black hair and red eyes alongside a long-sleeved shirt with a red skirt of sorts. She was almost tugging at the person next to her who I assumed was her mom. I walk up to her and smile.

"Nice to meet you! my name is Yuri and yours?." I asked while I tilted my head. She was almost taken aback quite surprised or embarrassed to some extent. At the time I didn't know she was quite shy. The girl in front of me finally let's go of her mom's shirt before speaking.

"Miyuki..."

She says in a soft and quiet tone stumbling along the way while looking the other way.

"Well, let's be friends," I say while a smile completely replaces my face. After saying that her eyes widen to show her truly crimson eyes being shocked before truly responding.

"Yeah."

As I would soon grab her hand and run outside as she would tell me to slow down. I wonder if that's why she has still stayed with me since then. I guess things have changed since then. Right after the colorful memory turns black as I soon open my eyes and begin to rub them with my hands as I had woken up. I would soon realize it was because Erika had been calling out to me to wake up.

"So you finally wake up."

I sit up correctly before responding.

"Yeah, it seems so."

"Must have been a pleasant dream you were knocked out for quite some time."

Well, it's more of just a vivid memory of what I was dreaming as I place my hand on my forehead. I can't exactly remember what it was about yet it feels like it was quite warm to some extent yet I have no clue as to why.

"I guess."

As I reach out to my pocket to turn on my phone.

7:30 pm ...huh I guess Erika was right about being knocked out for so long.

"Hey, Erika shouldn't we go out for this pal of yours now."

"Yeah, all lead the way."

Whoever this person is they better be worth the time and be useful in the longterm.

"Got it."

I grab my White short coat from the good hanger and put it on over my black shirt as I but on socks and shoes. As I grab my keys and open the door and then lock it right after closing it.

After stepping outside the chilly wind hits my face or so I thought as it's more of a gentle breeze of sorts. The wind picking up whatever was on the floor that was light, giving off that breeze. I continue walking to see the street lamps light the sidewalk as I continue walking to wherever Erika was leading me. Few cars would cars in some instances would drive by flashing their lights as I would walk along the sidewalk.

Random things would fill my head while walking but one thing would stand out from all those thoughts. How would this pal or person Erika knew help and how can she be sure they would even help. Maybe she just assumes they will, at this point only time will tell I guess.

"Make a right turn here."

I nodded my head and proceeded to turn right. What would be in front of me was the park, not the same as this morning but the park a park that suddenly felt familiar. I brushed this off before seeing two men in white long coats being the exact same as that guy at school even Kentaro to some extent. I don't exactly know why I decided to hide behind a nearby tree could it have been fear? or something else as just caution. Whatever it was I found myself hiding behind a tree hearing on to their conversation.

As a person with brown hair would be talking.

"You already know we can't be on the same level as him he's the bosses son anyways."

as the other person with black hair would respond.

"Nah I think it's still possible, but I think the real problem would be his crest our magical energy would give up before his."

Crest? what exactly could they be talking about?

I wonder. As the person with brown hair would reply back.

"Well, I guess that's Yuki family for you."

Yuki...where have I heard that name before...oh that's right Kentaro told me his last name as well. Yuki huh I don't exactly know what this crest thing is but I'm guessing its something to worry about. The two men would suddenly face direction. The one with brown hair would shout.

"Hey, come out!"

Crap...it seems I'm at an almost checkmate situation. Even if I use frozen Requiem what good would leaving two unconscious men in the park do.

"Hey, I'm talking to you so face me!"

I guess I have no choice, I begin to whisper those words.

"Restrictions released...Virt-." I would be cut off as a sudden crashing sound would be heard from the two men in front.

"The hell!" One would shout.

I realize why they stood before a man in armor standing up from the unconscious man with black hair. He had blond hair with blue eyes almost like a shining knight with that sword and armor of his only he had a sort of rebellious aura I couldn't explain. As the man would stand up and smile and begin to speak.

"My name is Sir Mordred, Knight of the round table."

Knight of the round table...Mordred huh.

"To think we were looking for him and he came right to us," Erika said.

"Huh?"

I'm quite confused by her statement.

"He's who we were looking for."
