10 Chapter 9

Title:"The march to Polania"

(Start of the actual game plot)

Winter 1914 in a certain village in Polania.

A girl can be seen wearing winter clothing, she tried to join a group of boys who plays snowball fight. The boys didn't let her join because of the reason that she's a girl.

"No way! She can't join us she's a girl!" shouted a kid.

"I can throw too!" argued the girl.

"Whoever gets her on their team would be in a disadvantage." said another kid.

"I said I can throw like you guys!" insisted the girl.

"What are you gonna do about it?Cry?" asked a kid as everyone laughed a little.

"Crybaby!" bullied another kid.

"Let's go! I'm the Polanians!" shouted a kid as everyone started to run towards the forest.

"That's so unfair!" said the girl in anger as she walked away but stopped midway.

"No! I'll show them!" said the girl as she rushed inside the forest catching a boy. She gathered snow and formed a ball before throwing and hiting the boy.

"Ouch! Hey!" said the boy as he clutched his head.

"You're dead!" said the girl as she walked towards the boy. Then the other boys started to find another spot.

"Ambush!" commanded a boy as everyone searched for a suitable hinding spot.

"Hey! She's not even playing!" shouted the boy who was hit by the girl earlier.

"You're dead now!" giggled the girl as the boy just rolled his eyes and played dead on the ground.

The girl carefully made her way to a rock as the other boys started to shower her with snowballs.She managed to evade all of them and retaliate some of her own snowballs. After some time she managed to hit everyone and a the other boys just said that all of those was warm up and started to run deeper in to the forest. The girl followed and she cuaght up with them on a ruin of a castle. They restarted their fight there and the girl once again prevailed. But just as she approached the other boys to boast, she was ambushed by them.They rained her with snowballs from all sides as she staggered to stand up from all the hits she got. Just then a man in his early 18's rushed forwards and created a couple of snowballs which he threw to the boys attacking the girl, easily hitting and dispersing them.

"Are you all right Anna?" asked the man to the girl as he checked her forbany injuries.

"Yes brother Janek, I'm alright. It's just that they were cheaters!" said Anna in anger as she stood up and brushed the snow that got into her clothes.

"Come on now, just forget about them and let's go back to the village. Papa will be waiting..." said Janek as he comforted his little sister Anna.

"Oooor you could teach me how to shoot and defend myself." said Anna with a mischievous smile.

"I promised where you're older." said Janek as he tried to dismiss his sister's thoughts.

"I was when you promised me. And how will I defend myself in case the war breaks out?" insisted Anna to her brother.

"When the war breaks out you will lay low and I'll protect you." answered Janek.

"But you promised!" said Anna as she was on the verge of crying.

"Fine, come with me." said Janek as he signaled for his sister to come with him.

"We will hunt for a deer,here." said Janek as he passed a rifle to his sister.

"You're the best big bro!" said Anna in joy as she held the rifle in her hands as if it's the most precious thing.

"I'm gonna regret this." said Janek as he chuckled and the two went inside the forest to hunt for a deer.

The two successfully hunted a deer. Janek was originally attacked by a bear but was saved by a soldier riding a Smialy, a new type of mech.The soldiers talked to Janek for a bit and Janek offered to guide them towards their village, the soldiers agreed and Anna was left all by herself. The soldiers and Janek quickly departed and Anna eviscerated the deer herself, the bear who was shot down by a Smialy mech was towed by another Smialy mech. While eviscerating the dear, Anna was approached by a baby bear. The bear seemed to search for her mom and Anna out of pity dragged the baby bear back to their village.

At the village an intense argument was happening between the pilot of one of the two Smialy mechs and the fathe of Janek and Anna.

"War will be bloody, you know what those mechs are capable of! " argued their father.

"Rest assured every volunteer will receive the best equipment and training.And just maybe, he will get to pilot one of those." said another soldier as he extended his arm to stop Anna and Janek's father from continuing to move forward.

"He will not, I will not let my son die in another meaningless war." said their father with a tinge of anger in his voice.

"Meaningless? We are defending our motherland, our home, our freedom!" argued the captain as he slowly walked towards the father and looked at him with seriousness.

"Father, the war would be on our homeland, I-I just can't stand to see my fellow countrymen die without doing anything.And I don't think the war will be that bad. Uncle Leh will take care of me." said Janek as he tried to persuade his father.

"This is not a game Janek, this is-" his words were cut short as the captain tapped Janek's shoulder and said something.

"This is the right decision, you will protect our motherland.Come pack your things." said the captain as he slowly dragged Janek away. Janek slowly walked away from the group and to their house.

Anna slowly approached his brother and his brother kneeled in front of her.

"Borther, you're going to war? You're going to leave me alone?" asked Anna as she looked at her brother's eyes with tearing eyes.

"Just for a few months.No, I-I'm not leaving you, I-I'm protecting you." argued Janek.

"The war is coming whether we want it or not. I'm doing this for us butterfly, and I promise." said Janek as he hugged his crying sister.

"I will be back before you know it"

Had to update this chapter to clear clusters. Anyway the announcement is still in effect and this is only a special case. There will probably another 2 chapters, introducing the main characters on the story.
