Wish we never came

During the early morning hours, Edith and Flame were on a grassy landscape that had trees and scrubs with Edith carrying her bag on her shoulders. They were being chased by a creature that appeared to be a giant bird that had a long neck, curved but sharp claws on the feet and it had a big black beak. Its feathers were brown and they looked metallic, it had two holes in its face that were the nostrils and it had yellow slit reptile eyes. This monster was called a shot-birder and it made a screeching noise as it chased Edith and Flame. Edith was running facing forward her direction with her scythes in her hands, then the screeching became louder because the shot-birder was getting closer. Edith jumped as she turned and swung her scythes across each other causing an X-shaped shockwave to hit the shot-birder abdomen causing it to drop from the sky and just as it was about to land on the floor, Flame jumped and scratched out its right eyes and when it did black fluid gushed out and the shot-birder fell very hard to the ground. "Flame you are a live saver. Look over there, that tree is big enough for the two of us to hide but it is a little bit far so we have to hurry" Edith said as she pointed to a big tree with lots of leaves that was quite far from where they were. Flame and Edith double up their speed and ran towards the tree but the shot-birder managed to get on its feet and its left eye was shaking extremely fast while the right eye was pouring out the black liquid. It let out a loud screech and flapped its wings. The wings went up and when they came down, a lot of the bird's brown feathers shot out at an incredible speed. Edith and Flame were already very close to the front of the tree but before they could hide behind it, a feather got to Edith and made a light cut on her lap. This made Edith to fall and Flame quickly noticed and rushed to her. Edith was on the floor and was and trembling with anger. She gripped onto her scythes tighter as she attempted to stand up but the shot-birder was getting close. Flame saw this and got into his attack position but before the shot-birder could get any closer, Edith quickly stood up, jumped really high in front of the shot-birder and stabbed its right eye with two of her scythes and before the shot-birder could react, she pulled her scythes down sliced from the eye of the shot-birder, down to abdomen and the same black liquid gushed out profusely to the extent that it poured all over Edith's body and the shot-birder made a loud and almost deafening screeched and fell to the ground. Edith pulled out her scythes quickly pulled out her scythes before the shot-birder landed on the floor. Her whole body was covered with the black liquid and she used her hand to swipe away the shot-birded blood away from her eyes. Flame picked up Edith's bag that was on the floor and came behind her and nudged her back and pushed her towards the tree. The passed the tree and kept moving forward. After a while they came across a small and shallow river that was very clear and had fish inside. Edith saw this and it mad her smile. She jumped into the river with her clothes on and she made a very big splash. Edith brought her head out of the water and shook her body in the water; this made the shot-birder's blood to wash off from her body. "Flame, how do you know this place? You have never been outside of the North before" Edith said and Flame didn't give a responds, he only lay down on the ground. "Well I have no idea where we are going but I am certainly sure it isn't Iron Ground." Edith said and still Flame didn't give a responds. "You know, when past through that portal and stood at the gate of Baron Fall, I was very surprise and confused, mostly confused. There was no snow and everywhere was quite warn. Maybe it is because I have never been anywhere beside the North, that is why I was expecting snow when we came to Baron Fall. Now looking back, I wish we never came" Edith said. Edith looked at her examined her body and noticed that all the blood had washed off. "Curse that blasted shot-birder! It's was never that hard to kill" Edith said as she came out of the river. "Father was right, the monsters are getting stronger. Do you think mother is alright at Baron Fall?" Edith said as she turned to Flame. Flame move and laid behind her acting as a pillow for her to rest her body. "Sorry if I'm making your fur wet Flame, the only extra clothes I have our grown and I can't run very well with them. Let us rest here for a while; we have been running for a day now. We will just rest here for a while and then we can continue walking to wherever you are taking me too during night time, you know because it will be dark by that time and Eric did saw something about majority of monsters not begin able to see in the dark" Edith said and Flame gave her a look that meant he agreed. Not long after that all the black blood had cleared from the river and the fish stated appearing again. Edith looked at the fish and tears begin to roll down Edith's eye and Flame notices. Flame nudges her as his way of asking what was wrong. "Florence, I can't believe she is dead, I will never see her again. You know she really liked fish, she preferred it to cow meat" Edith as she wiped her tears. "Flame try and catch some fish for us, I'll go get wood so we can start a fire and cook them" Edith said then she and Flame stood up from the ground.

Oliver is in an underground room in the castle at Iron Ground looking over Florence's body with Bolt, his dean wolf, standing right next to him. The room still had the iron walls as the rest of the castle and it had a stairway. Florence's body was in a tub like container that was as big as Florence's body. She was still wearing the same clothes that she wore back at Baron Fall and she covered with a Sparkling green dust like substance. After a while Eric came down the stairs. "I am very sorry I know you are mourning right now but the builders are here. They need your instruction" Eric said and immediately Oliver and bolt followed him. Oliver and Eric came out of the castle through the door where the staircase to the underground room was. After walking for a short while of walking they came eight big men. Two were carrying heavy wheel barrows that contained bricks, one was carrying a ladder and the remaining five were carrying building tools. "Oliver these king men want to reinforce the castle and they want to know where exactly they should start from" Eric said. Oliver turned around to take a good look at the castle and then he turned back to face the men. "Well first start with the Castle gates and I think we should build a gate right in front of the river to protect the other region's buildings so they don't suffer much damage if we ever get attacked." Oliver said. "That is an excellent choice Oliver but eh, there are monster that lurk around the river, so we need to protect these men while they build the gate." Eric said and Oliver nodded in responds. "Wait before we go" Oliver said then he pointed to the wheel barrow that had bricks. "Use the bricks for the outer cover of the gate, the gate will the made of iron, we have lots of iron polls in storage. All we need are like six horses and, and three big crates to carry enough iron needed to build the gate, and maybe one more horse and an extra crate just in case we find a new monster" Oliver said. "Another wonderful decision Oliver" Eric said while smiling at Oliver. "You all know where the storage room it, I will come and supply you with the crates and the horses after you have brought out the amount of iron you need" Eric said as he was talking to the men and after that the nodded their heads and left. "That was very impressive Oliver, when your father comes back from Baron Fall he will be very proud" Eric said. "Baron Fall, oh I wish we never came there" Oliver with his head facing the ground. "Brighten up Oliver, I have good news" Eric said and he rummaged through the pocket of the robe he was wearing and brought out a black octal shaped medallion, same as the one Eleanor used to communicated Richard back at Baron Fall. "Your mother spoke to me last night with this. She says your father and your triplets siblings have escape from Baron Fall and are on their way here and your mother also said that she is doing well. Your father and your sibling were able to escape with the help of a certain Knight Aemon, he found out your mothers true identity and he had decide to help us however he can." Eric said as he dangled the medallion in front of Oliver and Oliver immediately grabbed it. "Can I speak to her, can I speak to all of them" Oliver said. "Yes you can but you will not need the medallion, look after your training I will teach you all these things" Eric said and he was about to walk away until Oliver called him back. "Training, what do you mean by training?" Oliver asked. "Well we don't know when your father is coming back and I can tell you it won't be anytime soon, the way from Baron Fall to the North is naturally very far and with all those monsters on the way. We might be attacked, or a region might be attacked again so before your father and your siblings come, here someone needs to protect the North in the meantime" Eric said and walked away.
