Let me explain what will happens, the evil god uses his great power whose power only 1 person is on par with the (good) goddess, to corrupt everyone and make the corrupted people to take over the world and cultivate his power and when they die he get's their power back plus how much they cultivated the power, while the goddess made the divine protection on as many people she could, but the evil gods power corrupted the animals the plants and much more and the even more spare power made dungeons and more; human kind found two ways to make their power stronger: one cultivate the power within your body and make it stronger, it's like muscles; 2 kill monsters and absorb a bit of their power, but of course you need to strengthen your divine resistance to handle the power or strengthen your natural resistance that'll be better because it makes your body stronger and if the goddess dies your resistance won't fade away.
