Ippo's Redemption

Generic Unimportant Name Substitute or GUNS as his friends like to call him was an ordinary teenager in the dark horrible place humans call home.

Well he wasn't completely ordinary, as you see him now he's an overweight balloon but that's only after he reached high school, in reality, he had been a semi-promising aspiring boxer throughout his childhood he grew up worshiping his father who was a professional boxer.

He was a great one too going unmatched with a perfect 30 TKO streak before facing Mike Tyson and getting knocked out in one hit like a little pansy and retiring from embarrassment. That did nothing to douse the flames of GUNS admiration for his father, whom he decided to be just like.

Signing up at his father's boxing gym since he could walk. Many of the coaches at the gym were hopeful GUNS would be talented and that he would redeem his father's legacy. He turned out to be a prodigy soaking in all beginner boxing techniques like a sponge. He had a bright future awaiting him before the "incident" as it was referred to by the rest of the staff at the gym.

What was the incident you may ask... a permanent injury some trauma Kousei Arima style... no the truth was much more sinister... he found P0rn. Yeah... that's it he developed an addiction to porn hentai and then all things otaku, he was a degenerate who even enjoyed loli doujinshis.

Despite this, he shouldn't have gained so much weight thanks to his incredible metabolism, but around the time he found porn he also found pastries which he quickly became addicted to.

He was confused all the same over his sudden weight gain so he asked his father one day and he gave him the tragic news.

"BrEaD mAkEs YoU fAt!"

The rest was history truly a tragic tale of the poor boy, a fallen hero...

"Yeah I know dad you tell me my life story every day while we're trying to have breakfast" the fat teen from the story GUNS replies

"It's not too late GUNS you can still lose the weight even Muhammad Ali was fat at one point."

"No, he wasn-

"That's not the point GUNS you have to start thinking of your future you're not a kid anymore you have to decide what you want to do."

"Dad, whatever I'll just decide next year I still have a while before college," he said

"Also look you're making grandma so stressed she's doing her eye twitch." GUNS said pointing towards his grandma

"Son she's rolling her eyes at you"

"Is that what that is, I always assumed she had a lazy eye or something but I never wanted to be the one to say it"

"..."

His grandma reached across the table and smacked him in the back of the head. He didn't react used to it by now.

"Whatever I should go to school now anyway." He said taking off before he could be badgered further.

As he was running/waddling at a brisk pace, towards his school he saw out of the corner of his eye Truck-Kun speeding at a high pace towards a little loli. (A/N: Her name is plot device if you were curious.)

Before he could react his body moved on its lunging itself forward to push the loli out of harm's way as he was hovering in mid-air waiting for impact time seemed to slow down and he was thinking more clearly than he ever had.

'Am I going to die? Why the fuck did I choose now to be a hero, that totally goes against my character archetype. Why is everything so slow, I always thought I lived my life without regrets before but now I was starting to regret so much, I shouldn't have given up boxing it didn't provide as much immediate relief compared to anime and hentai but it was rewarding in it of itself. Hard work felt good, I wish I could take back all the times I argued against my father e was just looking out for me... I don't wanna die, I don't want to die, I don't want to die'

"I DON'T WANT TO DIE!"

Those were my last words before the impact next thing I knew I opened my eyes and I was in a completely different place.

I was confused before a surge of memories assaulted my mind suddenly.

Memories of the life of a boy who worked hard to help his mother, a boy who was bullied for his lack of wealth status, a boy who would become a legend, who would have a tragic fall. Makunouchi Ippo, a name I recognized from one of my favorite animes.

I'm Ippo, no I'm GUNS but why am I in the body of a fictional character.

Right now I'm sitting under a tree exhausted apparently having practiced all day.

'I should be ecstatic I've always wanted to be reborn in an anime world'

He remembered his father who would always encourage him to be better, his grandma who despite showing him tough love, loved him nonetheless. he would never see his dad again, never have his grandma's cooking, never talk to his two best friends who stuck with him through thick and thin.

Acknowledging all this he came to the logical conclusion

"I want to go home.."

Like any young boy put through a traumatic incident like he was, he did the only thing that felt appropriate he curled into himself mourning for all that he had lost and he cried. (A/N: like a bitch)

(A/N: This won't interfere with my other fanfic I might not even update that often or at all on this, but I wanted the plot bunny out of my head if it goes nowhere oh well. Tell me what you think though I tried to make this prologue-y chapter all reincarnation or transmigration fanfics have at the start more interesting by adding a lot of comedy and some, I believe, real elements to it)
