1st At The Festival

Irina was on a big festival with lots of people and lots of food. She was hungry and was sitting on the huge ferris wheel eating different bread and vegetables she had taken from a stand on the big market. It tasted good.

Irina was so hungry, she could hardly stopp eating. She never felt so hungry before. Normally she was used to not eat that much because when she was alive back then, she was a slim girl and never ate that much. But this time it was different. She was on a festival for the first time. At least since she was a ghost. There was a lot of tasty food, big crowds of people and it was loud because of the festival music everywhere.

Irina was glad the many people were not watching her when she took the food from the market earlier. They were just too busy and didn't notice the missing bread.

Looking down the ferris weel, there was a young boy crying because he was not allowed to get on the ferris wheel, he was too small. His mum held him on his hand and tried to calm him down. Gently she tried to pull him away to go somewhere else but he didn't wanted to leave. The mum talked to him and he slowly stopped crying. Sadly they went off, heading in the direction of a fun house. Maybe the boy was old enough to go get in there.

Irina turned to her food again and started thinking. When she was out on the street in her home town like usual, people watched their suroundings. They would have noticed her, if she was taking food away to eat it. So she normally wasn't eating that much, only once or twice a day. Things like food got invisible too if Irina touched it. It kind of disappeared for a while untill she let go of it again. She could move things that way.

Irina could also wear clothes but if she took them away from a store to put them on, it's still stealing. Same with the food. She couldn't really pay for it because she had no money. Also Irina couldn't really make or earn money because no one could see her. She was dead. Invisible. On her own. Alone.

Irina was alone for a while now. A month. Running around in her town where she died and the neighbour cities on the streets, exploring empty places and  abandoned houses, dirty flats and dusty apartments with spider webs. Irina didn't really liked to be around people. If they saw her disappearing or moving things, they got scared and ran away. She didn't want people to be scared of her. Anyway she didn't want to think about that that much.

The festival was fun. The food was good. The music was nice. People didn't realise her. They just cared about themselves. And that's good. That's all Irina wanted.
