11 Chapter 10

Alibaba P.O.V. 1st Person

"Grah, what's all the commotion?!" A man's voice called out as he stormed over here. I turned my head, growing ever more nervous as we'd soon be dead. "Outta my way! I'm already in a bad mood!" 'Oh no this isn't good!' The man shoved past the crowds over to where I stood. I tried to back away, but I was frozen in place. "Hm?" His eyes locked with mine as I realized who it was. 'Master Budel?!'

"You!!!" We both cried out, pointing our fingers at the other. I was trembling, the cool sweat dripping down my hot neck. However, he was just as nervous as me.

"Ugh," I retorted, "what are you doing here?!" I hid behind Aladdin, clutching onto his shoulder. My strategy didn't work and the boy stayed so calm and composed it seemed to make me more panicked.

"Oh! I met you yesterday! You're the booby man!" Aladdin exclaimed to Budel.

"What was that, you snot nosed brat?!" He sent us a scowl flashing those raging eyes along with it. "Argh! Thanks to you, I lost an important client's trust! You're going to pay!" I only nodded my head, gulping down any last bit of confidence. There was a pause: he quit speaking as he assessed the situation. His eyes slipped down to the girl who was trembling on the floor.

"Are you... stealing a slave...? That's a crime!" I was quick to cover Aladdin's mouth with my hand. I furrowed my brows and peered up at him through my drooping bangs.

"We didn't do anything!" I failed to think up an excuse and could only try and talk my way out of suspicion.

"Really?" Budel cocked his brow at us, a sneer present on his face.

"Absolutely! Think about it, sir! We're just powerless common folk without weapons! We could never break such a thick chain! Right?" I sent a false smile and hoped he would let me by. Budel just stared at me, his arms crossed as he thought out his response.

"Hmph! This smells fishy. I don't like you. I already know what I'll do when you don't pay back that thousand dinars. Shall I tell you?" My heart started to beat within my chest. I bowed my head down towards my feet. "I'll make you a slave for life! Forever! I'll make you suffer with my own hands!" He gripped the poor (h/c)'s arm pulling them up off the ground. I reached out wanting to stop him. "Being a slave is hard, right? I can do this, and they can't complain." His hands pulled on their hair as the slave held their eyes shut. Their face was a shade of pink and it seemed as if they were holding back a scream.

"No... stop..." I muttered, unable to speak up clearly against this man.

"Hahaha got something to say? Then get it out!" He laughed at me enjoying pushing my buttons. He let out a yelp as Aladdin hit Budel's shin bone with his flute. Letting go of the slave I let out a sigh, turning my attention to Aladdin. The large merchant fell over and Aladdin continued to beat him.

"Lookee! A pigs butt! Oink oink oinky oink! Why do you always hurt people over wine or money? Alibaba will never be your slave!" The boy stuck his tongue out at the merchant.

Budel faintly lifted himself up off the ground to shout out. "Guards! Slave thieves! Two despicable, wretched, slave thieves!" Grabbing Aladdin I ran off, we glanced back to see several guards following in our direction.

"Don't touch the master's slave!" They yelled out, weapons in hand. Aladdin followed just barely behind me, and we rushed on huffing and puffing from exhaustion.

"Aladdin! If they catch us, it's game over!" We approached a turn in the ever stretching alley but before we got there a group of guards came storming out, stopping us in our tracks. 'They've got us!' One grabbed my arm and pulled me in as they held a stick against my throat. 'No, not yet!' I stomped my feet around, tears draining out of my eyes. 'It can't end like this! I still have to-'

Suddenly, Aladdin blew his flute as the blue figure came out. He grabbed a hold of me and tossed the guards aside as we hopped on the djinn's back. He smiled at me, those blue crystals filled with life. "This isn't the end, Alibaba! We still have to go on our dungeon adventure!" I was still in shock but managed to nod. Yeah, that's right! Plus there are still many things I want to do before I die.

As we got through the soldiers I saw Budel storming through the crowds. He pointed his finger up at us and yelled, "You won't get away with this, you rats! No matter what you do! I'll make you remember this for life! I'll make you slaves, make you grovel, abuse you, and drag you around! And after you've suffered enough for a million lives I'll kill you!"

I knew I was in debt, there was absolutely nothing I could do or say. So I have to capture this dungeon. I have too! As Ugo carried us away I shut my eyes tight as I let myself say it. Once it was out there was no turning back. "Let's go to the dungeon!" Aladdin pointed Ugo in the right direction. This would be the start of our adventure. He seemed to look down into the city as my eyes landed on the slave from before.

"Good, they got away!" I frowned, they had run off but their escaping was not likely. Entering a large mansion was the redheaded male carrying the apples. I shook those thoughts out of my mind, I'd have much more troubling things awaiting me. It's not like I'd ever see them again anyway.

We reached the dungeon and Ugo returned to the flute. "Look Aladdin! The dungeon entrance! I don't see any guards anymore!" We ran up the steps pausing in front of the entrance. "It's the gateway of death." I stared at it hesitating to go inside. "I'll... I'll just... uh… take a look first and-" Within that moment Aladdin slammed into me as we fell through the entrance. I let out a scream as we fell into what seemed like some sort of portal. "Or I guess not..."
