16 Cang Yue

After the little incident, the next morning, Yun Che once again was on his way to head to the Blue Wind Palace. It would have been better if he was at Sky Profound Realm, he could have easily flown there all by himself.

A new quest suddenly popped up from the system.

Yun Che accepted the quest. He had no idea about this Trails thing. But as he was given a quest by his system, he was inclined to do it. By far, the quests provided by the system did benefit him, he had to reason to refuse. His journey to Blue Wind Palace should probably be delayed.

He was not in urgency and it can wait. He had more than one and a half months so he didn't bother much and focused on the current task.

Jasmine didn't appear in front of Yun Che again. When Yun Che sent his consciousness into the pearl, she was sleeping peacefully. Yun Che didn't want to disturb her sleep. He smiled looking at her baby cute face and returned.

When Yun Che withdrew his consciousness, Jasmine slowly opened her eyes. She just faked her sleep. In reality, she was having mixed feelings about what happened the previous night.

Jasmine felt extremely happy that Yun Che thought of her as a woman and not a silly girl despite her being aloof and all. She didn't know what she's feeling but she was sure of one thing that she didn't want to lose Yun Che.

"I am the widely proclaimed Heavenly Slaughter Star God. The one who's feared upon by many and yet I'm weak when coming to matters related to love" muttered Jasmine under her breath as she continued to lay on the bed.

Despite her being only 13 years, she is not dumb enough to mistaken the feelings between man and woman. She was told everything by her mother in her childhood. What she didn't expect was that it has been no more than a month and yet she's feeling like this. No wonder love can strike between anyone in a fraction of a second, she thought.

Meanwhile, Yun Che was on his journey and he had to cross a mountain to reach his destination. The area was extremely crowded and many people were gathered here.

The path he had to cross was a bit narrow and even a slight mistake may cost one's life. They were just ordinary people with no cultivation base. So, everyone was very careful while passing the route. They collect the herbs from the mountain ranges and sell it for money.

Yun Che's previous clothes were obviously tattered from all the training he did. His system provided him all the clothes from the shop feature and it was no problem for Yun Che to get any kind of new clothes. It is really helpful. He chose a hoodie to cover himself not to gather himself any attention.

In the crowd stood a lady covering herself with a hoodie similar to Yun Che. Her face was not clearly visible but her body proportions alone said she would be a beauty by nature. The girl's eyes were not focused and looked distressed over something.

The lady was none other than Cang Yue, the seventh child of the Emperor and only Princess of the Blue Wind Empire.

Lately, they were at the bottom of the rankings and her father's wish was to see their rank in the top 3 before his death. Wanting to fulfill her father's last wish, she decided to go around Blue Wind Empire looking for talents to represent the Blue Wind Profound Palace in the Blue Wind Ranking Tournament.

She came from the royal family and was granted "Monarch Heart Secret Art" with which she can search for the talents of any individual. But the palace was busy with conspiracies of her brothers to get over the throne. So, she sneaked away and changed her identity to Lan Xuero, the name given by her mother.

Soon Yun Che's turn came to cross the mountain. He went along with the people. And Cang Yue was joined the people. He just took a glance at her and didn't bother much.

As Yun Che completed half of the path to the next mountain, a little girl of about 5 years stumbled upon one of the small rocks and fell down. The onlookers were all frightened.

The little girl's hand caught a small branch and her whole body brushed on the mountain. Many felt sorry for the little girl. They already guessed the fate of the little girl.

"Mom!....Dad!.." The little girl closed her eyes and cried.

Above all, the little girl's parents were the one's more panicked. Tears started dripping from their eyes. The thought of losing their precious daughter made them feel powerless. But they still refused to give up. Somehow praying for someone to come to their aid.

Cang Yue processed the scene ahead of her and her expression turned aghast. She would have used the flying profound profound beast in normal cases. But the beast is probably tired of carrying her continuously for the past few days as she came far away from the palace.

She tried to summon her flying profound beast but it wasn't working!

When her mind was completely filled in chaos, a man suddenly passed through her swiftly and jumped down the mountain. She was flabbergasted.

Yun Che didn't think much and jumped down the hill and caught the little girl with one hand and gripping the mountain with the other.

Feeling someone's hands holding onto her petite body, the girl slowly opened her eyes. She quickly crawled her hands onto Yun Che's neck and her cries stopped.

Using a bit of his profound energy and with his already robust body, Yun Che slowly and steadily climbed up the mountain.

All the people present there witnessing the incident couldn't believe their eyes. They were almost at the peak of the mountains and even if someone of cultivation lower than Sky Profound Realm jumped down, their death was rest assured.

All of their jaws were wide open. The more shocked of all was Cang Yue because she tried to gauge Yun Che's talent but she couldn't. By the aura around Yun Che, she assumed he was at the early stages of True Profound Level.

It was because Yun Che already adjusted his cultivation at True Profound Realm beforehand. On climbing up, Yun Che handed the little girl to her parents.

The parents went to their knees and bowed to Yun Che stating their thanks. The little girl didn't let go of Yun Che and asked.

"B-big Brother, what's your name?" the little girl whose face is still wet with tears asked Yun Che innocently.

"Yun Che"

Only then did she let go of his hand. She hurriedly ran to her parents and embraced them and tried to pacify them. She then turned to Yun Che and gave out a beautiful smile her little baby face could muster.

Yun Che continued his journey not paying much attention to anything, he sped up to his destination. Jasmine in the Sky Poison Pearl observed the whole incident and her heartfelt warmth.

While this all happened, in one of the corners, Cang Yue's lips curved upwards revealing a beautiful smile of her own. She soon followed the path Yun Che went.

Cang Yue did not bring much with her anyway and Yun Che looked like a good guy. So, instead of leaving somewhere, she felt it's wise and her intuition also told her to follow him.

She kept an eye on Yun Che as he passed from place to place but maintained a proper distance not wanting him to find out about her. As a cultivator at the 3rd stage of True Profound Realm, she was confident of her hiding abilities from the early stages of True Profound cultivator.

What she didn't anticipate is that Yun Che has long guessed Cang Yue's intention. So, he called out to her.

"How long are you going to follow me?"

Cang Yue's body suddenly trembled. She took a peek at Yun Che and his head turned to her direction. She slowly came out with a forced smile.

"Looks like I'm caught," said Cang Yue helplessly.

"What is your purpose in following me, miss?" asked Yun Che not beating around the bush.

Cang Yue slowly pulled off her hoodie as she thought if Yun Che was a bad man, he would not have called her so carefreely and his cultivation is not that she expected.

Her features were now conspicuous to Yun Che.

She was beautiful enough to make one's heart tremble; a pair of beautiful sparkling eyes with a gaze as soft as water, not containing even the slightest hint of arrogance. She looked about 18 years of age.

She exudes a noble and graceful aura that added to her charm. Her cherry-colored lips have the luster of a smooth seashell. Her elegant eyebrows are crescent-shaped with beautiful pitch-black hair. The light smile that graced her lips that were as heartwarming as the smell of incense in a gentle breeze. Her hair was fluttering in the wind.

Looking at Cang Yue, Yun Che's eyes revealed no change. He gazed directly into her eyes. All he could see was curiousness in her eyes.
