Chapter 60. True Inheritance ( 2 )

Slowly, Tirus and Kane along with others opened their eyes and found themselves in a dense forest with giant trees that reached the sky.

'A.I. chip, scan the surroundings.' Tirus immediately ordered the A.I. chip internally, looking at the haggard face of the rank 2 magi.

"Don't let your guard down or, otherwise, die." Kane warned the magi as he and Tirus flew upwards the next second, leaving only dust behind.

[Beep! The scan is complete. There is no hostile life form in the radius of 50 km from the host's position]

[Beep! The concentration of plant element energy particles of twice as much as the outer world] The A.I. chip loyally intoned and without further ado, Tirus gave his second order, "A.I. chip, tell me the total land area of this semi plane."

[Scanning… Beep! Scan complete. The total land area of this semi-plane is 1.45 million km², approximately]

"I see." He murmured in a low voice, turned around and said with his black magus robe fluttering in the wind, "All the magi of the dark dawn guild, remember, use concealment spell and stay above the trees. Kill anything that moves."

Hearing that, the remaining magi on the ground cast concealment spells on themselves and flew upwards, joining him and Kane in the sky.

Suddenly, Tirus's crest started emitting a bright red light and a string of characters appeared before his eyes.

"Those who enter this place, you are the chosen ones and have been brought here by fate. You have a time limit of 46 days, subsequently, this place will destroy itself. Kill all other competitors to claim victory and gain the true inheritance."

"Lord Aimon, this place is a deserted island in the middle of nowhere." A magus wearing a light green robe said in a peculiarly calm tone as he gave the report to his master.

"Hm, I see. How big is the area?" Aimon asked with an unflinching expression.

"Our men have yet to reach land, even after flying at the highest possible speed for several hours." The reporting magi answered while lowering his head.

"…"

After a few seconds of silence, Aimon spoke up, "Don't get careless, the others must've also been transported to another locations, they may even have favorable environment there. There is a possibility that they may just be waiting for us at the shore."

"Th-Then…what do we do my lord!" The magi, now slowly losing control over his emotions, asked in a panicked tone.

"We will build a hideout here for now, then we'll discuss what to do next." After reading the message given by the crest just now, he knew that It's kill or be killed, so he needed to be extra cautious.

Chris and Mar were transported together in the middle of a desert. Chris had his men, while Mar was alone from the start.

"Hey, what was your name again?...Ah! It was Chris, am I right?"

"..." Mar's blunt way of talking earned him no response but a vicious glare from the other party. Not only Chris, but all his men looked at Mar with eyes filled with killing intent.

"Hey, Hey, big guy, what are you getting so worked up for?" Mar said with a wide smile on his face while squinting his eyes which were as sharp as knifes.

"Just know, my situation is as desperate as yours, and you aren't even strong enough for me to fight you. So, let's co-operate, and I'll just let someone else kill you." In contrast to his light-hearted tone, his words were filled with immeasurable mockery as he released his peak rank 3 radiation.

"… Okay, fine, but remember, you runt, if you dare backstab me, then I'll make you regret that decision for the rest of the eternity." Chris finally agreed, giving in to his desperate situation. 'As long as we can survive for a second more, then I'm sure there will be hope for us.' He thought.

He and all his subordinates were magi from the south coast. This was their first time ever leaving that place and ever since he left the south coast, he understood how weak he and his subordinates were in comparison to those magi from other continents who cultivated the best techniques, consumed the best resources and had a great environment for cultivation, unlike them.

He was just a Hydro phase magi, while most of his subordinates were only at the peak of rank 2. On the other hand, this dwarf, although weak, had several radiation frequencies coming from him at once.

Generally speaking, most magi would emit a special kind of radiation which they call their signature radiation, this signature radiation never changed regardless of what and each magus had their only one, but this dwarf, he completely went against the common sense.

"That's great, now we're talking, hahaha." Mar burst into laughter as Chris and his party looked at him speechlessly.
