58 Chapter 58. Preparing for the true inheritance

Central Continent,

Jupiter's lightning,

Residence area,

Tirus was currently messaging Beth about the true inheritance and his plans on how he wanted someone from the dark dawn guild to take the position of the true inheritance candidate from the central continent.

It had now been a year since he acquired the crest, he had sent his elf slaves, E1 and E2 to the twilight zone to see if they could use their bloodline to make male wood elves, if that were to be possible, then they'd be able to have their elf slave business.

Tirus had been preparing for the true inheritance, however the information about the location of the secret plane's entrance wasn't and wouldn't be given before all 5 candidates were chosen.

Some plant, wind, water, and fire element particles would be released from the crest every time he injected spiritual force into it, indicating that there were currently 4 candidates ready and now, only the last one remained. This last candidate was supposed to be from the central continent.

"… Well, now I just have to be patient." He murmured in a low voice as while holding the crest in his hands and looking at the body of a human male on his experimental table.

This man's body was now covered in a silvery colored liquid which was oozing out of the pores of his skin.

Actually, all of these were the microscopic organisms that he himself created. They were programmed to grow and act in a certain way once they entered the body of any animal.

Once they were inside the bodies of their victims, they would reproduce and multiply at a frightening rate and ooze out of every pore of their skin, covering their entire body and then copy their genetic information, of course, while deleting their memories as well.

Then after that, the victim's soul would be attacked and be taken over by these microscopic organisms and finally, the victim would turn into a killing machine which only listened to the one who made the organisms, Tirus.

The only flaw was that it took the organism a long time to fully copy the genetic information, usually taking several days to complete the process.

Another two years passed,

Tirus found the inheritance box thanks to his connections he had made in the central continent, and Beth had also selected some members from the dark dawn for the true inheritance. It was mentioned in the given information that every candidate could bring about 4 people with them.

Judging from the difficulty of the selection ground of this inheritance ground only, one could tell that bringing magi below rank 2 would only be a burden, fortunately, Tirus had no lack of rank 2 subordinates.

...

In the true inheritor selection ground, a hydro stage rank 3 magi named Kane stood on an altar.

Kane was an elder in the dark dawn guild of the twilight zone.

"This is it, finally." He rejoiced in his old, hoarse voice. His white beard shook, and his robes fluttered in the wind as he rushed towards the blank crest in front of him.

He was nearly 400 years old this year, he knew he'd reach the end of his lifespan in a century and due to a severe injury he got in a past battle, he wouldn't be able to advance any further in his cultivation, his eyes, currently, were filled with hope for a better future.

He had lived for a very, very long time and had lost his chance of ever making any progress in his cultivation and thus, chose to live out his remaining days in seclusion, but when he heard about a guild with two rank 3 leaders, he couldn't help but feel that there would be something that could benefit him greatly and thus, he joined them.

"There is hope for me…" If he could successfully help the founder of his guild get the inheritance, then he'd get a lot of contribution points, enough to buy a secret lifespan extension potion.

In the western continent,

In the middle of a barren wasteland filled with blue, luminous, rocks, there was a gigantic ring of gold hovering in midair, its aura was completely concealed so unless one came here and personally saw this with their eyes, they wouldn't even know of this.

"So…the final one has been selected? I see." A short man with a large, busy beard showed signs of excitement on his face, but quickly suppressed his feelings and murmured in a grim voice, "I'm waiting for you all."

In the kingdom of wood elves,

"Finally, after so many years!" Aimon roared in joy as he looked at the crest, which was now emitting all five element's energy particles.

"It's in the western continent, huh, I see." He mumbled as he left his castle, ready to make preparations in order to go to the inheritance ground.

To be continued…
